I was at that NWA concert in Detroit back in ‘89. It sounded like gunshots and those guys bolted off the stage so fast. NWA’s gig was obviously cut short that day but once order was restored the show continued with LL Cool J as the headline act. The Straight Outta Compton movie depicts the scene in Detroit pretty accurately.
The sad, and scary thing, is EASYs diagnosis was made public almost 5 yrs after Magics diagnosis, who only had HIV, and is still alive (thanks to all the HIV meds). Its a wonder that with all that money, Easy still could not get a simple blood test (once and a while) could have saved his life, esp if he knew his lifestyle was slightly risky. Sad.
