    When I was in labor I was moaning, not even screaming and my head nurse goes “honey you need to be quiet......” I looked right at her and said “get out of my room right now, I need a new nurse” and they brought in a different one! I was so mad don’t ever say that to a mother WHO IS IN ACTIVE LABOR. Even if I was screaming? Give me advice to ease the pain, don’t just say “stop screaming” because I will scream louder 😂

      Love it! 🙌🏻 Some women are quiet birthers and some women make noise, both are normal reactions/coping methods and both should be respected! I can understand saying something when a woman is losing control and it’s making it harder for her to birth her baby effectively, but no birthing women should ever just be told to “be quiet” or “stop screaming”, and instead should be offered better alternative coping methods (such being instructed to utilize low toned core focused moaning, which is often more productive than screaming) and better pain management methods (such as a different position or counter pressure if a natural birth is desired) to help her bring her baby into the world while feeling supported, rather than feeling reprimanded or chastised for something that is normal and understandable!

      Go you mama!! That nurse would’ve died if she had been there for my first. It all happened so fast and I was yelling so much 😂 my second I had more time and more focus and didn’t feel the need to vocalize as much but I would slap a bish if they told me not to scream

    • @BhappyD
      @BhappyD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      It always disgusts me when hospitals do this. Nobody should be able to dictate whether or not you can film yourself giving birth to your own children if that is what you desire. That is YOUR body and YOUR baby. That is a memory that many want to treasure forever, especially considering how many mothers are not able to remember all of the details from their birth after such a physically demanding experience. That is the documentation of a memory that is being robbed of them, and it’s one they will never have an opportunity to get back. It’s disgraceful that a hospital’s response to medical negligence, is to ban filming so that it makes it harder for patients to file rightful lawsuits, rather than desiring to spend their time and effort getting to the root cause of why medical negligence is taking place in their hospital and firing the doctors who commit it. Hospital administrators only care about money, not the patients.

    • @d3ndr0ph1l3
      @d3ndr0ph1l3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@RaqMor13 yeah recently I looked up why they do that & it said so if anything were to happen during birth the parents wouldn’t have to relive it through the video but even in the case that something could go wrong it still should be up to person giving birth

    • @MadelineGee
      @MadelineGee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    With all my labors whenever I’ve been screaming the nurses/ midwives always gave me advice on how to breathe better in order to be more calm. Screaming for me was always me letting the contraction get put of control and it was always nice to have a constructive better way to handle the situation. I feel like all drs should give advice instead of just saying don’t do that.

    When you were holding your baby girl and instead of given her to grandma, you just embrace her for just that min. It was absolutely precious because she held her hands out to grandma to say im ready. It was just that extra min of love that she needed and instead of handing her off and her crying, you spent that extra mins contraction and all that helped her be okay. It was just so special and beautiful. the best advice you can give a parent is PATIENCE. It takes patience!

    Congratulations!! She’s beautiful❤️ I’m sorry to hear about the doctor telling you to stop screaming🙄 I really dislike doctors and nurses who aren’t very helpful or friendly about unmedicated births. It should be just as acceptable and you should be able to feel comfortable💗

    This sounds so much like my labor, which also started November 11 but around 2pm, she was born a little before 1am on the 12th. These November girls are stubborn! Congratulations!!! Mine was 7lbs 4oz

    Yasmyn, you are so naturally beautiful!!!! Mom of 5 here, I read your Instagram post that you aren't feeling well. Please rest, take it easy, let your body recover and heal, I can bet your doing too much which is natural for us moms but rest! :)
