Reasons why Green Mage is the best Everhood character: -Was never rude to the player, even during battles or before he got his eye back. -Helped you get past an unbreakable barrier without asking for anything in return, while giving you an important item in the process (flower pot for the flower store guy, who gives you the trashcan lid which is needed to fight the trash can). -Introduced 'Skull Attacks' to the player without making it too difficult to adapt to. -Has some of the smoothest and most interesting battle animations (In my opinion). -The one of the only NPCs that is confirmed to be a musician, plays the clarinet (I think) which can only sound good if the user has a lot of practice and skill (Squidward was just a bad clarinet player, it doesn't normally sound like that). -Overworks himself and goes out of his way to make the game interesting in Medallion, I.E changing the map to a Badlands when Zigg complains about Swamps being a cliché, and checking the rule book rather than immediately shutting down Flan when he uses his mech suit and infighting other players. -Made his Boss Fight fair in Medallion by giving the player plenty of red attacks and allowing Rasta Beast to finish him off when Red can't kill him. -One of the only characters that didn't inherently try to kill Red, when he fought the first time it was out of obligation and the second time was because he wanted his last moments with the player to be special. -Showed concern when Red tries to enter the Endless Corridor, rather than letting them walk in so Red will get lost and allow Green to live. -Was one of the only characters who kept track of time (tally marks representing years he's spent inside Everhood) meaning he was aware of how long the world's existed, and that he knew his time was going on for far too long. -His single eye shows more emotion than the expressions of characters with full faces. -His hat is pretty funky
He also has some pretty epic final boss music! Really captured the whole "I might be about to die, but I'm going out in a blaze of fun and glory" aspect.
Can we talk about the amount of unique abilities green mage shows such as using skull attacks, warping the screen, using unparryable attacks which are only seen a few other powerful characters fights and the most unique being that he used lightning as an attack which I am pretty sure he is the only one to attack with lighting because you electro warrior and dev gnomes who have lighting in their design but only green mage attacks with lightning
Finally going up against Green is like finally going up against Magus in Chrono Trigger. You're ready and built up for it to be so damn epic, and it does not disappoint.
It's because he's the best character so he's one of the few if not only characters to use an actual attack instead of just different versions of notes.
