Tutorial you did on this installation is wonderful.Just installed my fog lights using your process and it was on point. Thank you for taking out the time creating this video.
Thanks for the video. It worked perfectly for my 2016 1500 RAM Laramie. Couple things to add...the running lights will aways be on. There is no on off with the feed coming from fuse 66. Also, make sure you put in two 10 amp fuses in the fuse tap or it wont work.
Good video, just did mine but when I tied in to the fuse using the fuse tap I needed two fuses for the fuse tap. The DRLs worked but my sunroof and rain sensor stoped working, which is why I need two fuses. I added it and now everything works.👍🏽
Man what a life saver thanks, I had a question about tying the fog lights into the fuse box and you answered it . What size white wire did you use though...
Can these fog lights be used on the non projector/non led ram 1500? I’m looking to get similar looking fog lights and didn’t know it they are plug in play or I need drivers and etc
So this was a concern I had as well like if the truck would think I had a bulb out if I put in led lights instead of regular bulbs but for my truck it wasn't an issue. There is an app called alfaobd that you can get paired with a Bluetooth obd2 connector that can fix these issues if the truck does have them. For me this install was plug and play but with an older truck it might differ.
I think it's a micro add a fuze and not a mini go to an auto parts store and pop your hood pull fuze 66 and walk in with it and match its size to the one they have and you will be set.
I run my lights on auto and the led "L" shaped lines are on at all times but the fog light its self is activated with the fog light control. If you turn the lights off to manual off it turns the "L" shaped led off.
@@wingman6968 one more question. I’m going to install the matching headlights. Can I connect both the fog lights and headlights DRL to the same fuse location?
@@damiensantini7558 I am not 100% sure as I haven't gotten mine in to do this yet but will be eventually. I don't see why it be a problem though led lights don't require much to operate.
What fuse taps did you purchase to add the DRL? I cannot locate a set small enough for fuse 66 on my Ram 1500 (2017). What I did buy are way too big. Thanks!
Thank you for the video brother I been looking everywhere on TH-cam, online and your video is the best so far thanks for the tutorial

This saved meeee. Thank you.
Glad you explained the taping at the fuse box. Most videos I have seen are pure click bait to get views.
Great video! Just hooked up mine and everything works perfectly
Thanks man! Hope you like yours!
Excellent video!!! Well produced, thank you very much.
Nice install!! Thanks for the video and tips.
Amazing video!!! I hope you continue to make more videos like this so helpful especially since we have the same truck!

thanks for the video I just got these same ones from amazon today!
I’m buying these so thanks for making this. I was wondering how I was going to do this

Good job 👏 I will try to do it on may ram 🐏 18
Really hoping someone can tell me what guage wire to use for these drl fog lights
Do I have to disconnect the battery?
I see this video is 7 months old. How are the fog lights holding up...they look great and are an excellent price but I’m curious about quality.
Still going strong and have had no issues with them!

@@wingman6968 awesome. Thanks for the help. Now I’m just trying to figure out what leds would match the color of the fog lights lol. I appreciate it!
So when you put that fuse 66 into the fuse tap did you also need to add a second fuse to the tap to make it work?
So I am trying to do the same thing on my tacoma. How did you hook up to the fuse box? I was told I would need a relay
Hello,
what is fuse #66?
Or did you just use a fuse location where there is always 12v?
Is the white wire positive and its getting its ground from the wire inside the assembly
Correct thats what is happening.
Nice!!!!
Nice
Where did you get the micro fuse tap? Is there a specific link?
I got it from advanced auto parts. I'm sure you can grab them off Amazon. Let me see if I can find a link.
I think it's a micro add a fuze and not a mini go to an auto parts store and pop your hood pull fuze 66 and walk in with it and match its size to the one they have and you will be set.
Do they come on without turning on the headlight switch?
I run my lights on auto and the led "L" shaped lines are on at all times but the fog light its self is activated with the fog light control. If you turn the lights off to manual off it turns the "L" shaped led off.
Hi, did you touch the wire on your headlight aswell? or you just put on the fuse directly on fuse 66?
👍👍🤩❗
You wired them together then to a power source?
Yes they are piggy backed through as a circuit
@@wingman6968 awesome thank you!
What did you do with the black ground wire?
Damien the fog light running lights are grounded through the the factory fog light plug there is no black ground wire.

Ok I’ll update you when I get them in this upcoming week. Or if you do yours first let me know. Thank you
i did what exactly u did but still it didnt work i put on fuze 66 too i dont know why
What exactly is not working the daytime running lights?
Yeah the daytime running light
Im wondering if you adjust the fuse for headlight i dont know
@@nikkomejia6753 for headlight? Are you installing the same product or a headlight?
Just a foglight the same as your foglight on the vidoe
How are these lights doing ?
They have worked perfectly fine since the instal no issues at all.
Thanks man

I see it in the vidoe. Sorry
What gauge wire is the white wire you running around the truck?
