    *I already own the Battle II combo **enjoyable.fishing** recommend and decided to try a Fierce II combo to carry out to the pier. Works great and for the money they are hard to beat.*

    I know for a fact comparing my cast to these gentlemen’s, that pound for pound and foot for foot, with same gear and climactic conditions - all things considered equal, I can’t do this.

      I can tell to my 15.3' im use a England made line who is 38yards or 35M and the waight of line is 102Grams that like 1500grain. And it takes a bit of rod to do it ! But you cast 50M plus whit ease.

    Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup th-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

      Marvin Alarcon It is the world champion Tellis. I think that he used one of his own rods, TSD Grand River Tournament 15' # 11th You can find it on tellis-flugfiske.se

    This was one of the first videos I watched about fly fishing. This is not your typical fly fishing. This is fly fishing using a SPEY rod. Designed just for this cast and is the reason why it goes out so far. You just cant really do this with a single hand fly rod without tiring yourself out after one try.

      I have no problem with a one handed Rod using spey casts..

      @@treeqz401 Your are right !! You can do it with a single hand rod

    Some of their form is quite awful, i think the only thing saving them is their longer rods

    Spey rods are made to be fished in a river. No way in hell these guys are casting this far in moving water.

      Rather ignorant comment speycasting is meant for.running water

    • @TheAWSniper
      @TheAWSniper 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You are more likely to cast further in a running water. When spey casting it is easier to anchor the line when you have the resistance from the moving water.
