WINDOWS…. Don’t forget to close and secure all windows! Our first trip in our 3rd RV, we packed up to come home and thought all windows were secure. But our bedroom flip out from the bottom, full glass panel window with the emergency latch was not properly secured, so somewhere along I-25 the wind ripped the window off the RV. This was prior to the pandemic and it still took 2 months to get a window and have it installed. 😩 Love you guys, your humor, and all of your silly antics! Thanks Hanks! ♥️😃👍
Something I would recommend, but it's completely up to you, is getting a TPMS for your 5th wheel. It will give you continuous monitoring of your tire pressure and temperature so you know if there's a problem prior to a blowout. It will also alert you to a blowout as soon as it happens. A friend of mine had a blowout on his 5th wheel and wasn't aware for a little bit. It damaged the underside of his 5th wheel. I love mine.

We have a specific digital checklist that we reference just before pulling out. Learned the hard way after leaving our surge protector plugged into the service outlet or leaving our water pressure regulator attached to the water spigot. Or crushing our wheel chocks. A departure list is a must have. Good video.

We work best with our own lists. While hubby is sweeping off the slides I'm finishing up the dishes. Then I bring the slide in that's over the dump area. While he is flushing the tanks I'm working from the nose ( bedroom ) locking down the tv, drawers, doors and securing items. Last thing I do is sweep the floors, then wet Swiffer them with Mrs Meyer's. I carry the keys around my neck. I'm in charge of locking everything up as he finishes with each compartment.

As an 82 young person, I love seeing you both enjoy life in your RV. My husband and I traveled for two years when he retired at 70. I drove for the entire time but my husband didn’t want to stay any place more than 1 day. He refused to stay in RV parks so I became very creative in finding places to stay. I kept journals of our life on the road which our 5 children enjoy reading! The real challenge was that my husband had a massive stroke previous and was trying to recover
As nurses you know the challenge I had but I saw the entire USA on the backroads-i hate interstates! Of course our unit was a 20foot Sprinter van conversion. Keep on with your videos, for they give me great enjoyment with your humor and respect of each other especially Dexter!!
My wife takes care of the inside while I do the outside. She is always good about waiting for me to get the x-chocks between the tires before opening the slides. And she's good at giving clear directions when backing in.

I love the start of the video with you two putting everything away. Awesome. As for the slides, why would you want to stand on top of the slide to begin with. I don’t see any advantage to standing on top of them. One more thing; you two have one of the best RV channels on TH-cam. Keep them entertaining and coming.

thanks for the great videos and tips! Kitchen knives - the block holders are bulky to store and take up a lot of counter space; consider using a wall mount magnetic knife holder - you can even decorate them with wallpaper or your favorite color.
We've actually got the packing up of the RV down, but watched because you two are so much fun! When you threw Carl on the bed, my hubby said "Either she is very strong, or he is very small!" 🤣 My son-in-law also combines words (ie - food = fake wood). When we gave him and my daughter a video tour of our RV, he noticed my fake succulent, and called it.... yep. LOL!! Tip from me: Throw your shower bottles into a bin on top of some shelf liner on your shower floor. That way they won't be sliding around and possibly breaking. 👍 Be safe!

Use a snap wristband to remind you to shut off the water pump anytime you turn it on. Water pump and wristband on. Pump off, band off. Fyi that snap bites sometimes.

#thankshanks here's my tip: I spray painted my black wheel chocks a different color because they blended in with the color of my tires, now I won't forget them. Ask me how I know about this?
One of our cats likes to play with plastic bags. When we go grocery shopping, I wrap the bags up into a little ball. I separate them (ones without any holes vs. ones with small holes). The ones without holes we use for scooping the litter box. The others are used as garbage bags in the bathrooms. I have to fight him for the bags! He has toys, but those bags are the best thing to him.
Sorry so late to the party. Haven't seen all your videos YET but do enjoy and learn from the ones I have. Just judging from one scene in this video, please push down on torque wrench instead of pulling up when checking/tightening lug nuts. Pushing down uses your weight while pulling up puts a lot of strain on your bent back.

@@HappilyEverHanks The next time we are in the market, we will most likely down size to a good sized travel trail. The Eagle line-up has a couple floor plans we'd be interested in. That's only because, we don't full time. If I was in the market for another 5th wheel, I'd have to look very hard at the Alliance Paradigm 340 RL. But, for now, our Pinnacle has been good to us and very comfortable.
That makes sense! It's nice having a little more flexibility with sizes when it comes to campground and such! We have heard some great things about Alliance! We live full time in a 2007 keystone. My husband is disabled and can’t get on the roof and I am terrified to. Because the only way I will know for sure it’s safe is when I crash thru the roof!😮

Your videos are fantastic! And the information is valuable… love it! We are buying a Grand Design 297BHQB in Spring so all your great info is giving us things to learn and remember. When researching Grand Design the RV reps all said the roof is designed for 300# walk on. You can walk on the slides, but like you mentioned, why if you don’t have to. Thinking perhaps for some people reaching down to the slide to sweep might be a balance issue? Anyways… awesome job you two lovebirds 💕💕, and Dexter too!

#thankshanks here's my tip: I spray painted my black wheel chocks a different color because they blended in with the color of my tires, now I won't forget them. Ask me how I know about this?

One of our cats likes to play with plastic bags. When we go grocery shopping, I wrap the bags up into a little ball. I separate them (ones without any holes vs. ones with small holes). The ones without holes we use for scooping the litter box. The others are used as garbage bags in the bathrooms. I have to fight him for the bags! He has toys, but those bags are the best thing to him.

Sorry so late to the party. Haven't seen all your videos YET but do enjoy and learn from the ones I have. Just judging from one scene in this video, please push down on torque wrench instead of pulling up when checking/tightening lug nuts. Pushing down uses your weight while pulling up puts a lot of strain on your bent back.

@@HappilyEverHanks The next time we are in the market, we will most likely down size to a good sized travel trail. The Eagle line-up has a couple floor plans we'd be interested in. That's only because, we don't full time. If I was in the market for another 5th wheel, I'd have to look very hard at the Alliance Paradigm 340 RL. But, for now, our Pinnacle has been good to us and very comfortable.
That makes sense! It's nice having a little more flexibility with sizes when it comes to campground and such! We have heard some great things about Alliance! They seem like a nice brand as well 🙂Glad your Pinnacle is treating you guys well, we hope that it continues to treat you well in the years to come

We live full time in a 2007 keystone. My husband is disabled and can’t get on the roof and I am terrified to. Because the only way I will know for sure it’s safe is when I crash thru the roof!😮

If you can sit on your couch in the slide you can “walk” on them, we do. Just don’t be jumping up and down on them. 😝 😝

The roof of the slide out does not have the structure to support as much weight as the floor of the slide out.
@@DACoutBack lol…. hence.. don’t be jumping up and down on them. You can stand or kneel to clean the tops of the slide if no slide topper.

@@HappilyEverHanks we want a 28 to 30' pull behind,something nice and in decent shape,floor plan isn't super important,I'm a carpenter and I also do plumbing and electrical,so upgrades or changing existing floor plans,and repairs are not that big of a deal,some new things to study and get familiar with,but generally speaking I can handle most things..we also have friends that are property owners and know the ropes and know trailor and maintenance so I feel pretty confident we will do well,I love your 5th wheel,it's gorgeous,my kind of interior, I hope to find something with that kind of vibe,you kids stay safe,and have mountains of fun and good times!

Your videos are fantastic! And the information is valuable… love it! We are buying a Grand Design 297BHQB in Spring so all your great info is giving us things to learn and remember. When researching Grand Design the RV reps all said the roof is designed for 300# walk on. You can walk on the slides, but like you mentioned, why if you don’t have to. Thinking perhaps for some people reaching down to the slide to sweep might be a balance issue? Anyways… awesome job you two lovebirds 💕💕, and Dexter too!
