Eggs on toast were a staple in my household growing up. Tho my naani ji used to make this spicy jam for us to use on toast as well. I can’t remember what she called it or how she made it ahahah. Do you know any recipes for spicy jam?

Hey there! That sounds like such a special memory with your naani ji. The spicy jam you’re thinking of is probably the fruit jams made in the south. Stay tuned! I do have a recipe!! It’s amazing how food can bring back such wonderful memories! ☺️

Can I use hollandaise sauce instead?

Of course! The sauce I’m using is inspired by Hollandaise

I made the egg sauce! It was so good. Like a lighter version of hollandaise but still so flavourful.

Pinches of those common spices don't capture the essence of the Spice Road. It's the exploration of exotic ingredients - saffron, turmeric, cardamom - that brings this culinary journey to life. I hop to see more interesting dishes. The egg could have had hot garlic chili oil added or avocado and lemon with coriander. Why did you choose such a bland dish?

Thank you for your feedback! I’m trying to do a mix of teaching both easier dishes and more complicated dishes for people who are more experienced. Don’t know if you saw my samosa video, but that is not as simple as this one.
But for someone who doesn’t have a lot of ingredients or is intimidated by cooking - this is a dish that’s easy to make but still flavourful. ☺️
