There´s an easier explanation. Superman has multiple super powers. Flash has only one. So, it makes sense that Flash has to be better in the only super power he has. If not...what´s the point?

No flash has got one power and if you're talking about moves like phasing are only possible due to his one power super speed. Take away that he can't do anything.
Yes. He has multiple abilities. In fact, he´s one of the most powerful DC characters because of that. However, all that comes from just the speed. So, he´s main power is speed.
Superhuman durability, superhuman stamina, complete control of his molecules, superhuman reflexes, an enhanced mental process, the ability to control kinetic energy, superhuman strength, he has a speed force aura that he can manipulate, a ridiculous healing factor, the ability to create speed force constructs, decelerated aging and the ability to age himself, that power works like his healing factor but a more powerful version of it. For example, once when he had a hole in his chest made by a bolt of lightning conjured by Weather Wizard he accelerated his aging so his body naturally healed but just at a much faster rate,. His hair even grew and he got a beard doing it because he's just making his body age. He can only do this without facing any negative consequences due to a speedsters natural decelerated aging and longevity. Also, these are just Wally's (my favourite Flash ) powers. Bart, Jay and Barry have at least 1 different power.
Superman is insanely fast, maybe fast enough to catch Flash in a good day. But yeah, the flashes are the fastest beings in the multiverse.

Superman is slower than Flash but he can predict his movements similar to how he did in the New 52 when they first met.
no flash would has lightning speed reaction time and thinking. Everything is kinda in slowmotion for him. He would be able to react. Maybe not when he first became the flash because he was figuring out his powers but he would other wise.

Superman’s kinetic energy is part of the speed force, so if the Flash fully taps into the speed force, he will have all of Superman’s speed and more

i don't read comics as much. i don't know how to start, there's lots of storylines, dimensions, etc. i am more into manga. it's just that comics are written by different authors, i kind of hate it. superman is op in some, sometimes he's a bit weak, it just doesn't make sense sometimes. i need a bit of consistency. btw, i hate superman. batman, the flash ftw! it's just me. haha

The Flash and Superman are my two favorite characters so I really loved this Drake.
Nice. Sounds completely definitive to me. It reminds me of the "who would win in a fight, goku or superman?" debate the internet has been having with itself for years on end. Man who overcomes every limitation or man whose only limits are self imposed. The only way I could ever see Supes even coming close to victory is if he let go of his self imposed limitations, and even then, as you so astutely pointed out, Drake, Flashes litterally have all the speed (kinetic energy) in the multiverse (including Superman's OWN speed) to draw on. So the Flash's speed is litterally without limit. The more Kinetic energy the universe contains (ie the faster Supes runs) the more speed the Flash has access to, and therefore would always win.
Though in the grand scheme of things, Superman's speed is so small that taking the energy from it wouldn't really help.
Drawing speed from celestial and planetary bodies, on the other hand...
That is of course if the weight of the item moving is taken into account. If not, a gunshot would probably land The Flash more enegy than most things floating through space.
Obviously, The Flash's powers are very limited. There's no way he could ever harness such power.

I did. but it still makes sense. goku never faces anything on a scale like superman. even if the science is off, goku couldn't handle superman. superman can keep up with the flash as some pretty insane levels, where as the fastest goku can move is with instant transmission, which has several limits.super can lift trillions upon trillions upon trillions upon trillions or tons, and goku cant. while he does habe vast strength super man can power up even farther and in a much faster manner. and lets be honest, goku is a moron where as superman is not. so yeah still giving it to supes. and no I'm not basing all of my info on db. I do research as well. and its painfully obvious
Writers would never actually do that since what would be the point of the Flash as a character. If he isn't the fastest, then what is the point? Superman being the fastest would seriously damage the image of The Flash.

On the topic at hand: If speedsters are categorically faster, then wouldn't that potentially make The Flash stronger than Superman? Basic physics tell us that force = mass x acceleration. If this is the case, then wouldn't The Flash be always able to punch Superman harder than Supes could ever reciprocate, and dodge any of Superman's attacks? Scientifically speaking, Superman should never be able to beat Flash all-out.
I mean superman could just sit in a sun for a few years, or he could just... you know, throw the entire earth into the sun while the flash is asleep

You forgot one in Superman Grounded storyline. A mind controled Flash started making the surroundings look like Krypton because of the mind control and Superman needed to catch him. Which he did.

I have a question can flash run at a faster speed than mjolnir returning to Thor, for example if mjolnir and flash were in America and Thor was in China and Thor suddenly summoned mjolnir would flash be able to make it to Thor before it and could Thor's hammer build up enough speed to some how surpass flash
Ike Rants Is this a general question that anyone in the comment section can answer or is this directly a question for Comic Drake? If it's a general question i'd like think any of the speedsters except for maybe Jay Garrick would be a whole lot faster than Mjolnir.
From what I can tell, speedsters can draw power from the concept of time. Since Mjolnir doesn't instantly teleport, its limited to the dimension of time, which it cannot sway or manipulate. Since that is exactly what speedsters do, I'd say it's fair to say that The Flash is significantly faster.
Of course, as I don't even read comics, my thought's really aren't worth much.

Even if Superman could keep up to a Speedster, he's ignite the atmosphere thru his friction with the air; Speedforce negates that - if I recall - so he can't even try his hardest on Earth.

The issue, is largely flash has the full speed force at his disposal at any given time. Doesn’t take much to tap into it. But Superman has never been shown to soak up assloads of solar energy for the race. It’s always a normal Superman somewhat pumped up for the story. Showing greater speed feats than usual. But otherwise unamped.
Now imagine a Superman soaking in the sun a year. It’s still technically his “default powers” he’s not using any artificial enhancement since solar energy is literally his powers source.
He also could sit in a blue star and theoretically get faster.
There’s apparently no limit to the amps he gets from solar energy. At what point does he surpass flash? At a certain point neither has a problem with speed. They’ll always be as fast as they need to be.
What about Supermans abilities being able to increase from the sun? With his abilities possibly not having a cap is it possible that the sun could increase his super speed to be faster than the flash?

Okay. Little late to the party. Just found your channel. Love it!. I have a question for a deep diver for you that I'd love to hear your opinion on. You've done Flash v Supes and Flash v Shazam in speed comparisons. What about Shazam v. Supes in just general. I know in things like DCAU and Injustice, Supes seems to be stronger, but I'd like your opinion on the comics versions.
If you want answer to some of the fastest speed feats Web Cam Parrot has a video on top speeds in the DC universe.
I wouldn’t be too confident in this guy’s opinion as he doesn’t use meta levels of speed and sticks direct comparisons as well as finite numbers which is fine for beginners but if you want a more nuanced answer. You’d need to know about Meta levels of speed which transcend infinity. Infinite speed, inaccessible speed, immeasurable speed, and irrelevant speed.
Infinite speed is self explanatory, a character that can travel an infinite distance in a finite amount of time. Inaccessible speed, would require a character that can move in 0 time with his raw speed, which would be situations like moving in stopped time. Immeasurable speed, would require a character to move so fast that they can move backwards in time. Finally irrelevant speed, kind of self explanatory, would be moving so move that speed is irrelevant to where you’re above the concept of speed itself. Examples of this would be, moving fast enough to where you can move to and from higher planes of existence.
This is where most debates for Superman against The Flash really wind up a lot of the time as they both have the speed to travel backwards in time. However both have feats of irrelevant speed, as to which character has better feats of irrelevant speed is something debatable.
I had no idea about the comic races, but I kinda knew the answer from all the cartoons where Flash can pretty much run across time & multiverses

Lazzy 38 Shazam is actually slower. Shazam is shown to be about as fast as silver surfer, who is slower than the flash. Also the god of speed (who gave Shazam his speed) is about as fast as Wally west at their top speeds. But the god of speed didn’t give Shazam all his speed. Neither did he get all the strength of atlas. Otherwise superman wouldn’t even be a challenge to Shazam because he could just use a finger and still destroy superman.

Flash can vibrate through any object, and living thing. So theoretically, flash can phase through Superman’s chest, and stop phasing to rip apart his molecules no matter how tough Superman’s skin is.
Phasing is all moving your molecules between another objects molecules that’s how you go through it you can’t rip the molecules only move past them
So here's the thing... Superman (in some cannon) ran across the universe fast AF. Within minutes or hours I think. So you would assume ok he's faster. The flash(Wally west) also ran across the universe but the difference is he did it faster than an instant. Now I don't know all the math on that but that's faster then anything.

Hey so Rob from ComicsExplained said that a speedster is defined as someone who draws their power form the Speed-force, but google defines it as someone who can travel 100mph or faster. So what actually dines what a speedster cause quicksilver can travel fast, and he doesn’t draw his power from the Speed-force. So then, what gives?

I mean.... your point makes sense. But what about the fact that Superman’s power rises infinitely the more sunlight he absorbs? Like, he once spent I think it was like a half hour, inside the sun and came out effortlessly able to move planets. Not to mention that one potential future where he was pretty much god. Assuming all his powers increased to scale, I think it would be safe to say he is not normally faster then Flash, but that he can become faster then flash if he absorbs enough sunlight at once.

I never understood how Superman is even comparable to flash in speed. I mean, think about their origins for a second, one was raised on an alien planet with an extremely harsh environment and the other was literally struck by radioactive lightning which gave him a connection to speed and time itself.
The flash is then shown to be able to run fast enough to break the laws of physics constantly by phasing through objects, traveling back in time, creating duplicates of himself, and traveling across dimensions even. This is compared to the guy who is know for being “faster than a speeding bullet”

supers can never be as fast as flash going by that logic, if the speed force is the kinetic energy of all the multiverse then barry / wally can call upon the kinetic energy all the various supermen and other speedy beings in all the multiverse at once, making him leagues faster than superman, even in the animated episode when flash and jay garret were speed-talking and someone asked superman if he could understand it, he said he can only catch one every couple of words.
The funny thing is though that the flashes have never ever ever ever really “tried” I mean all speedsters are scared of their speed it’s world shattering maybe even universe.
You are missing something extremely important, Superman has repeatedly shown hes faster than any speedster could ever hope to be in all forms of media. In the comics he's traveled across the length of the galaxy in minutes when it takes thousands of years for light to travel the same distance, in the movies hes reversed time by flying around the earth so fast that he broke the light barrier and started going back in time and in Justice League he totally showed he was faster than the flash by getting the drop on him when he was trying to get the drop on Superman, had the Flash's reflexes been just a little off he would have been paste. Flash for all his strengths is just a man, Superman is essentially written as a god without any limits because hes more of a concept then a character. An ideal that can always pushed further than everybody else.
