Stopped off there for a few days in 1977 after teaching a course for USP in Honiara in the Solomons. At that time it was still called the New Hebrides and administered jointly by England and France. Nothing but fond memories of the people and this country that inspired Michener's Tales of the South Pacific.
Like the people of Kiribati (Gilbert) Islands, they are living the disastrous effects of climate change which some still deny are real and man made.
This production is very well done in conveying those effects and is heartbreaking to watch for those of us who have a connection to Vanuatu.

Such a beautiful part of the world ….sadly with all the money and resources in the world ..humans still have such divide and struggle …why are we putting rockets into space instead of assisting our brothers

Why should I trade my gas guzzler to save some stupid island I never heard of before?

because it’s not just “some stupid island”
its a ton of human lives, and it doesnt just affect islands, it affects the world, including you and your descendants

We are not stupid..and no one ask you to trade your gas guzzler to save anyone.

Because people like you who do not care about the environment are the main cause of climate change and global warming. it's not just about saving some "stupid" island it is bigger than that, the effects of climate change will not just affect this small island but will affect your country as well. so stop commenting asking stupid questions that I trust you may already know the answer to, small actions such as trading gas guzzler is a good start to reduce the effects of climate change. it's not like you can save your self if sea level rise gets worse, or more natural disasters occur, so if your not aware of climate change and global warming then I'm sorry for you man! you need to get some knowledge into you brain and learn more about the planet you live in because its is the only reason you are still surviving and also have some respect cause I sense you are lacking bro!

@@Sunspear2 The same Carbon locked up in the fossil fuels was once in the atmosphere as CO2, once when the world was green and lush. So if we burn all our dinosaur juice to release the CO2, then we’ll have a nice warm planet, that’s once again fit for lush greenery to tale hold. And there’s a bonus, because the warm planet will stave off the worst of the cold when the next ice age hits.
