I was glad to see a fellow Only kid up there doing comedy! When I was younger I wanted a big brother and I envied friends from big families. But now that I think about it, I got to enjoy the positive things about big families through my friends and was able to skip the squabbling and drama. Lol
I LOVED being an only child. Married into a family of 3 brothers, 12 blood aunts and uncles and so many cousins that I wish they would have worn name tags at family events. Thirty years later, I still can't remember all of their names. And don't get me started about THEIR children's names. 😂 Maybe that's why I didn't have any kids. 😁 Great job, Jeff! So hilarious.
It's so much easier to be an only child when you're part of a large family that you see regularly! Totally different experience, agreed.... it's like having siblings, but you don't get sick of eachother, and you don't have to share your toys in the evenings.
Can I ask how old you are now? Do you have trouble falling asleep? I’m a new mom of a 2 year old and I worry we won’t be having another child due my declining patience, lol. But I do wonder about her being an only child and if it will affect her long term.
She will outgrow it. It is harder to deal with the fallout of making her sleep alone when she's not ready, than to provide a safe spot for her when she feels vulnerable at night. @@kylorenthehusky2584

I have one sibling a sister . We are totally different. We are 19 months apart and we were close until about the ages of 4 and 5. After that we were both a lot like only children. I always wanted a bunk bed and my mom said it made no sense because I had no siblings. I'm 38 and I still want one. 😂 I pushed HARD for one in the spare room, but my husband said no. I'll never have a bunk bed. Poop.
We used a loft bed to fullfill my childhood top bunk fantasies. It had a desk underneath. I have an older brother but he was a way older teen at the time
I got hit by a car and walked home because the guys who hit me panicked, didn't call an ambulance or the police, but asked if they could drive me to the hospital or home. All I could think was, "Never get into a car with strangers", so I told them, "I know where I live" and walked away. About half a block later enough shock wore off for the pain to hit. Took more than a year to recover. Never did see a doctor.
That's an insane story. My sister got hit before, and like 10 min later got hit again but I guess it evened her out. She didn't see a doctor either. Maybe siblings would've made that go faster.
That’s crazy. My younger brother got ran over (literally) by a pickup while riding his bike a few years ago. His bike was twisted in half, so we were all confused how he came out with minimum injury. The driver panicked and took off. A city bus driver that saw what happened followed him into a dead end street and made him come back to the scene, which was full of cops by then. The driver was a 21 year old kid who then got hit with reckless endangerment, hit and run, and a few other charges. We took the bike to a local bike shop to get an estimate for insurance and upon seeing the bike and hearing what happened, his first question is “is your brother still alive?” He couldn’t believe so much damage could be caused to the bike and the person on it possibly survived
