You asked, I answered. Take your dining table out of your fabulous conservatory, put it in the big empty space by your living room. Create a little seating area in your conservatory facing your very nice garden.I would spend all my time in there 😊 Thanks for the tour, I'm jealous!
Plants room looks stunning. I think that the tags you were takeing out of the Calatheas pots got switched, pure green is Orbifolia and one with purple is Medalion
Yup the big leaved one is the Orbifolia. I have tried this three times and they always turn brown edges one by one and then the whole pot of stunning leaves just shrink away! I’ve tried everything and Rain water hasn’t helped either. Pls let us know if you succeed - and how!! Congrats on your new home!
@@peilinghuang4843 I've had 4 calathea for around a year now, and they're all doing great (though they're petite because they're away from my south-facing window). I'm using the water conditioner Mr. S suggests, a moisture meter, bottom watering, and I haven't fertilized them yet. Humidity is around 40% now (stupid winter), but I'm the summer it gets to around 60%. Consistency is key, yes, but as long as the increase in temperature and humidity is gradual and your watering and their placement stay consistent, they should be fine. Just don't change all the things all at the same time.
Awww, thank you for letting us in and being such a kind host! Glad to see you acting like a child in a sweet store, may you thrive in your new home along with your amazing plants! Really enjoyed the video!❤
I love the bamboo shelves🥰They are what I would go with because they are a natural colour that complements plants foliage, and they are open at the back letting through air and light into the room. They look very beautiful in the home🤲💞
Great tour! One small correction if I may... 4:52 you got the Calathea's mixed up. The first one is actually the Medaillon and the second one the Orbifolia. I know because I killed one 😂
“Not that kind of magic tho…” 😂LOL. Thanks for sharing your house plant tour, Richard. Your house looks so lovely and I really like the plant arrangements with the bamboo shelves. Keep up with your content, I really enjoy watching you.😊
Congratulations on your lovely new home. Lots of room for more plants for your fans to see. I feel like a student because I have learned so much from your teachings.
The plant I saw behind your blue watering can that I asked you to identify is a maranta, prayer plant. Now I understand why it moves with leaves upward sometimes. Your home is great with so much light for all your plants! You are blessed!!!
Love the new house and the way you're utilizing the natural bamboo to showcase your plants!!! It does NOT look like a shop. It's beautifully designed. You're such an inspiration!
Loved the intro thank you for inviting us in. Seems you bought the perfect house for your plants and I am sure they enjoy sharing the space with you and your family. 🙂
I think all the plants look much better in this house! Doesn’t look as cramped and messy as your old house. I’m jealous! Can’t wait to see what you’ll do with the garden this summer, I hope we’ll see some garden videos😍
Your home is wonderful, and your plant babies are spectacular. I, too, have a nice collection, only about 40 or so. This channel is my go-to channel for plant baby advise.Thank you! ❤️☘️
Thanks again for sharing Sheffield made Plants. Your love of plants is so wonderful to see. All the lovely care tips and the beautiful plants to admire. Nice to see what lighting and water they all need. Have a great Tuesday 😊🎉🎉🎉.
@ 2:07 ..move the dining table there, more plants in consevatory💚 I loved the character of the old house but this one is so beautiful, and THE WINDOWS!!
Everything looks great! I am so jealous of all your windows in the house. Congratulations on the new home and tell your wife that she’s amazing for putting up with all of your plants and the “ugly” plant babies. My family thinks I’ve lost my mind. I tell them to be grateful that I’ve contained all of mine into one room. Oh, and great video work. You’re one of the best around!
Nice choice on the orange sweater. I thought maybe if I watched this it would help me feel better about being away from my plants for a few months….😢, now I miss them more! But truly enjoyed meeting all your plants and getting a little tour of your new home. 😊
Beautiful home, love your plant set up. Your dining room is gorgeous with all that sun pouring in, so nice seeing this with all this snow ,and cold we have in OHIO 😁🥰
Try Dawn dish soap for aphids. Just drizzle a little over the leaves, rinse it down and let it go into the dirt. Works like a charm. I use it on my outdoor plants too when there's an issue.
Helli Richard! Here ib the Pacific NW, we also have cloudy cool weather most of the time. My living room has huge windows in a semi bowl shspe and like yours, face west/sourhwest/south. All my plants are there, and love it. All but the most delicate ones have thrived there. Most plants will acclimate to it, imo. 🌺
That exposure is perfect for your plant collection.❤. As per your “empty” space, I’d enjoy it while you can as clear spaces have a habit of filling quickly. Happy New Year!🎉🎉🎉
*Wow!* What a beautiful home and garden! I have thoroughly enjoyed the tour.. you must be in your element, Richard! Spacious, bright and stunning views.. I love the kitchen colours! Spare space? You can simply fill it with more plants.. (if Mrs Sheffield doesn't say you need to _really_ make it a shop and start selling some.. 😂) I am so happy for you and your family (and precious plants 🪴..) Fantastic! 🥳🥂✨️👍👏🤗
The whole place looks great, plans look great in their spots and the pots also look good. A very cohesive decorated house, cozy yet so fresh and clean and open
My neurodivergent mind absolutely loves how your videos look and sound in your new home 🙌 Congratulations and thanks for sharing, excited for upcoming posts 🤗 I’m so inspired now, off to do plant chores 🪴❤
Hi, your plant journey has been incredible! Your plants are just singing with joy at their new beautiful space. That empty space you showed could be the dining area, and in your conservatory maybe a comfortable sitting area with some of your plants staggered. Just a thought. I think if you make it a sitting area you and your guest could sit there and admire your plants and also that awesome view, it is amazing!!!! Looking forward to more videos!!
I was thinking the exact same idea! I think it would improve the planting area and give more space for dining by moving the table and chairs out of the conservatory. I would also move some of the shelving to block off part of the conservatory to make it more mysterious to enter that area
Beautiful plants, you’re lucky to have such a big, bright area to keep them happy. I’m sure someone may have pointed out that your calathea medallion and orbifolia tags are mixed up. The orbifolia is the big green leaf plant, the medallion is the dark green variegated plant. They are both gorgeous
I wonder what it would be like for Sheffield's wife, looking around the room and realizing that her competition is all around her in the hundreds. Staring her right in the face throughout each and every day. 😅
Your new home is stunning! I would adore the conservatory and the kitchen! The bird of paradise will be as tall as you by the end of next summer with all that light! Thank you for inviting into your new home!❤
I love your channel. Your my go to resource for info on anything plant related . I've learned so much from you. Thank you so Also, I love your dry sense of humor . I am from Seattle USA 😊
Your house is just lovely and so much brighter than your last place. You're spoilt for choice as to where to place the plants and the plants are being spoilt with so much light!
Love your dinign room! I saw people suggesting moving the dining room in the empty space but i disagree. It feels perfect where it is and it makes the conservatory feel like home and less like a shop. Also it is nice that when you have "formal" dinners you can see the darkening sky and your beautiful plants ( your passion) as a backdrop. Also, if rhe conversation gets boring you can look at them ( i joke) 😅😂😂❤
Yeeay! A new video!! You are correct it is a triostar. Triostar is my fave as well in my collection. Happy birthday Rich! 🎉🎉 Empty space? More plants! 😅 A big round pot with a bunch of plants in it 😊 Bamboo units? Maybe they would look nicer in white? Not sure. You could get a nice custom made glas shelving unit. But Mrs S probably wouldn't like the look of that invoice 😋
Awesome video and thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful home and collection. I have 20 plants and it takes me 3-4 hours to care for them each week on plant day, so I can’t imagine how long it takes you.😂 I agree with the Mrs., but I like the Bamboo shelves.☺️
Hi. I’m a new Plant Parent too! I hope you have years of success. My grandmother had 10 green thumbs (she was amazing) and I have 10 brown ones, 👍🏽 but I’m trying.😂
@goodycitizen-Hi!!!! I think we might be twins because your story is mine.😆 I’m new too and my grandmother, like yours had the gift. I pray you have success as well.
Good Morning, what a great room and the shelves. Love it. The plants look so lush and sooo healthy. Mrs. Sheffield is a great woman to let you use the room. Greetings from Germany 🙋♀️🌸🌺🌷
Thanks a lot for the room tour with your plants! It's so interesting and inspiring! My hobby is plants and learning English so your channel is ideal for me. Thanks!
I'm so excited to keep seeing those Naked Root pots like the one your peace lily is in! I bought some transparent ones and I'm excited to see if I'm able to notice any stronger growth due to aeration in the roots

That's exactly what I suggest to do, as well!
Thought the same.
I agree 👍 💯
I like this idea
What a great idea!
Plants room looks stunning. I think that the tags you were takeing out of the Calatheas pots got switched, pure green is Orbifolia and one with purple is Medalion
I think so too.

Yeah I was just going to comment but thought I’d better check nobody else already had. 😊

Stunning house and lovely view ❤
Sir, your house is beautiful indeed. N your plants have turned it into the garden of Eden
I love the bamboo shelves🥰They are what I would go with because they are a natural colour that complements plants foliage, and they are open at the back letting through air and light into the room. They look very beautiful in the home🤲💞

I love parents who gift plants. 😀 Wow, 6’6. I thought you were tall, but not that tall.😊 Loved the video and your house is gorgeous.
Congratulations on your lovely new home. Lots of room for more plants for your fans to see.
I feel like a student because I have learned so much from your teachings.
I think you’ve nailed the arrangement, can’t fault it in any way. What a beautiful gaf 🙏🏽
you are living the dream of every plant fanatic out there, i'm so jealous! ❤️
Hey guys - we don't need to correct every mistake he makes. He's human. Lovely set up! Excited to see future videos :)
Thanks so much for sharing.
Plant room is looking beautiful 👍 I notice you have a pond in the backyard 😀🇨🇦
Beautiful plants, beautiful home, beautiful scenery. What more could a person want?
Mrs. Sheffield ? 😅

Interesting!
Your new house is fabulous. I love the flow and the natural light.
Absolutely breathtaking home! Love the wood racks. If the empty space was mine, I'd put in a modern looking fish tank with loads of aquatic plants!
Hello Richard 💚 and all your green delights! Greetings to Mrs. Sheffield as well ❤
Nice digs Mr and Mrs Sheffield! Plant kids are looking great :D
Your new house is so beautiful! All that light is wonderful for your amazing plant collection. Just stunning!

23:00 I have been crocheting pieces to act as trellis, hammock, hug for many of my plants that want to climb. I've seen exciting results.
Nice choice on the orange sweater. I thought maybe if I watched this it would help me feel better about being away from my plants for a few months….😢, now I miss them more! But truly enjoyed meeting all your plants and getting a little tour of your new home. 😊
Looking very nice. I hope you are all enjoying your beautiful new home!
I love the peperomia melon and the pot it’s in😍 Beautiful plant and lovely pot😍
❤❤❤ love your plants.😊😊😊
Love it! We are moving in a few weeks and I am hoping my plants find new happy spots like yours did.

Beautiful home, love your plant set up. Your dining room is gorgeous with all that sun pouring in, so nice seeing this with all this snow ,and cold we have in OHIO 😁🥰
absolutley beautiful
Thank you for sharing your plants and giving "tips" on growing them. You certainly have nice sunny areas to place them. 🤩😃
Orbifolia is the green one. Medallion is the other 😂. It's all looking beautiful. The foyer looks so bare, you'll have to get some art 🌿✨💚🌞
Try Dawn dish soap for aphids. Just drizzle a little over the leaves, rinse it down and let it go into the dirt. Works like a charm. I use it on my outdoor plants too when there's an issue.
❤️❤️❤️ your new home! Great display of plants!

So much more light than your old place, I love this for you!
The calathea tags got exchanged I think, the green one is calathea orbifolia 😊. Other thn that totally in love with the arrangements. ❤
*Wow!* What a beautiful home and garden!
I have thoroughly enjoyed the tour.. you must be in your element, Richard! Spacious, bright and stunning views.. I love the kitchen colours!

Good luck at the new place. Looking forward to the content to come!
Thanks for letting us into your beautiful house. The foyer definitely needs just a couple of “welcome “ plants. Watching from Victoria Australia.

Mr Sheffield!!!!! I just gone and bought more plant stands and you are the reason!!!!! Happy plant year😊
It's beautiful to see how well everything has settled in! As for the empty space, you could always join the aquarium plant keeping sphere!
Your house is just lovely and so much brighter than your last place. You're spoilt for choice as to where to place the plants and the plants are being spoilt with so much light!
Beautiful plants as always. Your new home is equally beautiful.
Lovely home. Plants survived. Good luck settling in.
