  • Not for sale anymore, I have decided to keep the car. This car is a GT..S Code 390 originally, not an R Code. The motor is a year correct 427 sideoiler.

    This is the baby brother to the Galaxy and quite a bit lighter. That 427 side oiler was an awesome motor for this car

    Absolutely love this car. The 66-67 Fairlane R-Code 427 are my favorite cars ever made by Ford. Love the R-Code Galaxie's too...especially the 65-67's. But any 427 Ford is a bad machine

    A guy in the town I live in has a factory 427 66 fairlane. He bought it new and had to go to nam.He had the motor and transmission rebuilt in it recently and brought it to a small car show. It looked like original paint on it.In 67 you could get them in any of the trim levels but not in 66. Real nice guy, I talked to him a long time about it. Buy the way I’m not Vayda, that’s my granddaughters name.

MY GTA WAS CANDY RED WITH BLACK GUTS, NO POWER ANYTHING, WITH RADIO DELETE, BACK THEN IT WAS A SCREAMER WITH HEADERS AND A 3.90 RING GEAR. I CAN IMAGINE YOUR 427 WITH THE LUMPY CAM, AWESOME.

    Ford REALLY made some top line cars in the muscle era, late 60's etc., so did Chev, and Chrysler, you can nit pick on who you like the most and if it's chev instead of Ford, I can definitely understand that.....but no one can deny the AWESOME select massively hot fords that blew chev away in certain years... or at least became VERY equal. I love late 60's Fords,,,, also love SS Chevelles and Novas.... totally awesome !

    • @Theyrun
      @Theyrun 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Look at the 427 years in Nascar. GM or Chrysler had nothing that could touch them. they would take the top 5 spots almost every time. Nascar was cruel to ford and the stuff they made them change to keep them from dominating the circuit, it was pure engineering that won them the spots.

    • @Theyrun
      @Theyrun 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      YES - Look it up, Also the 427 came out in 63, it was in 65 that Nascar banned the high riser engines that were winning nascar. Ford would have dominated 67 in nascar too. They were winning the Le Mans with the engine that nascar banned.

    car were so awsome in those days...i dont care that they nw make fast 4 cyl turbo plastic econobox that are faster, they are not as fun and full of garbage i dont want, like electronic, screens, electric this and that...all iwant is a body and engine+drivetrain and seats with the only options: power steering,am radio delete and diff ratio choices

      @arfshesaid4325 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      very well said, no shit. Just who in the hell are they catering to these days? I guess its the lowest common denominator, camera for this , button to do that for you. its an absolute mess and the guy or gal that just enjoys driving is left paying for all these so called advancements. I guess we just have to be thankful that we lived and totally enjoyed an era where cars were fun to drive and look at too

    Ford automobiles all of them after 1968 were detuned from the factory to meet certain standards of idling and vibration that the brass at Ford came up with. This meant the cams and compression couldn't be as radical as the cars from GM and Chrysler but when their engines were put on professional venues with the right goodies in them they could compete with any GM or Chrysler product.
