I would like to have a friend like "Trigger". He might be a bit behind, with the conversation, but his heart is in the right place. He was a good friend to Del Boy, and Rodney, and the North London branch of the Trotter family, who were Del Boy's cousin Stan, Stan's wife, Jean, and Great Uncle Albert, in Strained Relations, when it was Grandad Trotter's funeral. He opened the Trotter family's flat, whilst Del Boy was paying the vicar.

I know, it took him a few seconds to realize what Trigger said and then he even repeats "Ghandi?" thinking he may have misheard him. Very realistic, as when people say something so random like that it usually takes people a few seconds to process what they said. My sister often gets words mixed up, she once said "Don't get testicle with me." when she meant technical. Took us a few seconds to realise what she said. All what was missing for us was the laugh track.

John's idea of Del Boy was someone in jeans with a pot belly. David said that he had seen the character as a partner in an electrical firm. David and friend were electricians and looking for work . He was immaculately dressed with a camel coloured overcoat and was always straightening the shoulders and sleeves of his jacket, Also it made David laugh when this dapper man had a Sarf London accent and was a real wide boy, which did not go with his image.
