I think having NO music is a GOOD choice. Also, I find if there is music, on any channel I watch, I will mute the sound. I am sure many other people also do that. When the ads come on, people won't hear them. Keep up the good work!!
friend i have found another couple of ics that can make this better TX-2B and RX-2B combining this with ht12e and ht12d you get 9 channels and can remove the switch from the transmitter
I am making a simple transmitter circuit with an ic555 pin 3 attached To the data pin,but the receiver which is connected to arduino is showing no response. But when i use an arduino to process the signal in the transmitter circuit,the receiver shows good results
Can you control 4 dc motor with this bidirectional. Can you explain how the transmiiter work because you use 2 IC encoder .how will the receiver know which IC decoder to trigger
I'm not familiar with PNP transistor. Can you please tell me why on receiver, transistor's emitter arrow direction and LED diode direction is opposite of each other?

My goal though is to use the HT12E/D system with a steady stream of pulses through one of the channels to have constant control of the speed of a motor while still having the other chanels available for other functions. I am aiming at an R/C vehicle with good control of speed, steering etc. The other chanels would be fun for things like reverse, lights, horn etc.
U can control 9 LEDs by adding 9 push button before ic 74147 (decimal to bcd encode) to ht12e in transmitter section. Ht12d to ic 7445 (bcd to decimal) to control 9 leds, I succeeded by my own research. Search these ic's... 74147 and 7445, 4028

instead of simple why not make the best possible, is has a lot of applications, i can imagine is combining this with some servos and bldc motors to make a rc robot with 2 tracks a cam and robotic arm
He able to use 8 channels because both IC uses different IC addresses. That slider switch let him pick which IC to send and which IC to receive based on the matched address.
Now this something spectacular, out of all your projects this is my favourite, its something creative different than all of those running leds pattern

you can change the IC with TX2B + RX2B and get 10 channel. Just need set the "osc.resistor" to each pair of IC's
