    The thing about 2.4Ghz is that back in the day when the authorities were deciding which portions of the radio spectrum they could licence out to make money from, the 2.4Ghz band was seen as worthless because it is one of the absorption frequencies of the water molecule. After deciding it was useless for radio communication the microwave oven was discovered by accident by semi cooking a bit of food someone was messing about with due to this very effect. Anyway, due to the low quality of the band the authorities decided to make it licence free and this is why we use it for wifi. If you are looking for range then the thing is not to use this band. The 870mhz band is better. Generally the higher the frequency the more the air attenuates the signal.

      If range matters enough, you don't built your own transmitter & reciever. It's a fun project. Plenty of range with 2.4Ghz ELRS for most people also. If range matters only then there's satellites.

      @@mixeduptv2268 I understand ELRS uses spread spectrum. You can trade bandwidth for range either by using narrow band modulation or as spread spectrum does, it works like statistical averaging to increase signal to noise ratio and uses a wide spectrum. You can go as far as you like with this method until you run out of bandwidth. Also bear in mind the rules say you can only transmit

    I developed a system similar to this to be used in The UAV Challenge - Outback Rescue about 16 years ago. I incorporated it into a Futaba 6 channel 72 MHz transmitter after removing the 72 MHz RF section from the transmitter case. This allowed all of the ATV's, servo mixing and servo trim levers in the transmitter case to be utilized in the new 2.4 GHz system. I have a video of it on my TH-cam channel. TH-cam won't let me put a link to it.

    Love this variation like all the other versions, I have all the components, make the connections one by one and checked the cables multiple times, somehow I can't make it work. The nrf24l01p modules are not communicating with each other. If you had similar problems or have any suggestions I'm all ears. I tried it with newly bought nrf modules and arduino nano's. I am really curious about what I am missing.

      Tried connecting the cables directly and to 3.3v of arduino nano without that extra regulator circuit,
      Supplied nanos with various voltage sources, lipo's, USB ports, lab power supply,
      I am quite frustrated and I am not kidding its been at least 10 hours just to make it work in these last 3 days. :')

Those who are interested in electronics at a hobby level usually do it this way. If you want to have it done by a commercial company that provides PCB printing services, you need to send the Gerber files to them. Example PCBWAY. How to upload gerber file to sites like PCBWAY? There are many videos on this subject. It is possible to learn by watching them.@@wonderscraft

    Hey bro. I have a question, do you think it is possible to add a ssd1306 oled display to be able to print the channel values and maybe with a voltage divider to the vin, the battery value? I was testing it and it works but not so good, as it generates a kind of latency in the signal, which makes it not work well. Of course all this with an I2C display. Great video by the way.

    • @Kendin-Yap
      @Kendin-Yap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is possible but as you have experienced there may be a delay. Arduino cannot run multiple tasks simultaneously in real time.

      @BryanCruz-rk6nd 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Kendin-Yap I think it's strange. I also used an Mpu6050 gyroscope module to rotate a servo remotely (i.e. a channel seven for that purpose) and it works pretty well, with no latency and it's also I2C, but with the oled display I can't get it to work without that latency or even sometimes it doesn't even work.

    I have a prototype of a radio controlled golf cart. I am looking for a transmitter and another radio receiver. They should be configurable so that one car does not interfere with another. I would need at least 100 meters of closet. Can you recommend any? I think they must be 433 Mhz, due to some permissions problem. Thank you very much.

      In ideal conditions, yes. Ground to Air, open area without signal pollution, barrier-free area, etc.

      Check your local laws, generally models have to stay within visual range so you can't go that far annyway.

      I took an skeptical as to it's range. The parts are cheap enough that it could be easily first built in a pair of breadboards to test the range. Then decide if you want to make the circuit boards and solder it together.
      If this kind of range is possible then why don't we see it in our toy quad copters when flying FPV with a set of goggles on?
