- This is a skit from episode 7 of season 2, Gavin first appears. Gavin is played by Bruce McCulloch, hangover guy by Mark McKinney (thanks jadeybeans! - can't imagine how I made that mistake)
Speaking as an elementary school teacher, I feel like I've actually had many conversations with Gavin.
With the way the Edumacation system is run In a few years ALL your conversations will be with Gavin.

I totally have to start saying that at the beginning of sentences.
Phrases like "I'm in the middle of a big bike race" still go though my mind occasionally, 30 years after first seeing these sketches. KITH had a major impact on me growing up! Thanks for sharing.
This show affected my sense of humor more than any other thing. Maybe my uncle's had some more effect on me but that's about it

A classic that I use lines from often to people that have no idea where I'm coming from.
Maybe THE best Kids in the Hall sketch and certainly Gavins. It was MAGIC when this show used to come on late night on Fridays on HBO and was a breath of fresh Cold Canadian Comedic air into the States. So funny how Mark pulls the paint brush back in disgust after Gavin asks how much it will pay.

God, this was the best show ever.
I think it is brilliant, many just don't get it. It has proven timeless if not visionary. IMHO!

I think every neighborhood has a kid like Gavin. My mother works in the education system and several "Gavins" pass through the main office of her school every so often.

By FAR, the best Gavin sketch, and easily one of the best sketches of the whole show. I did this sort of thing to my neighbors almost _exactly_.

Mine too! I use the "Onions is all I eat" often, only to observe the bewildered look on the face of the unknowing recipient.
When i picture my dog talking, he talks like Gavin.
The worst thing about this sketch is that Mark is painting a perfectly good chair.

I think I dated the adult version of Gavin, he always told the most outrageous stories. He was a goofy little fellow 🤓 I’d never met anyone who lied as much as him.

I worked with a guy like Gavin. Out of the blue he'd just randomly start spewing obscure facts or come up with questions regarding the weirdest scenarios 😄🤣😄🤣

Reminds me of this kid I did work experience with. Except he wouldnt stop talking about World of Warcraft. It was insane how he could carry on and on. It was an experience O_o

Hilarious. I knew a kid like this guy. He had a sister who was just like him. His parents(I remember his father) were like this too. They were truly weird but harmless.

Just as Eric is my fave Python Dave is my fave KITH...Dave is canuck Eric as Mark is John, Bruce is Terry, Kevin is Michael and Scott just simply has/had to be the late great completely dead Graham...don't ever die or disband you heirs to the biggesthronever!

The hidden jokes is that Mark is using Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard to paint the chair.
Use to know a guy like this..his folks turned him away so i let him stay with me for somewhere around five years or so give or take. He was always a good and fair sort... he went on a trip with some people i didnt know while i was away and the next thing i know hes being tried for murder. Kevin blackmore.
