most producers say that the max drive capacity is 2TB but I found out that 4TB drives also work in some cases. I unfortunately was not able to check 8TB drives yet...

Why wouldn't you be able to? There's no difference between a laptop and a desktop. USB is USB.

isnt the speed would be the same, but it's more about compatability?
Your number 2 choice SABRENT USB-C Tool-Free NVMe SSD Enclosure shouldn't be on the list. The type c connection fails after a few months.
