I initially wanted to buy an MS-00, but I was completely blown away when I tried the DE-11 and ended up buying it at TFOA. The DE-11 is just fantastic. :-)
They sound terrific, the small one punches well above its weight. The 12 fret is superb also. They made a very good decision to change the headstock logo as IMO it looked average and sold the product short. Cheers, Ross
I tried a couple of slope shoulder Iris' at a guitar shop in London last year, mahogany back and sides. Wasn't impressed with the tone to be honest, found it rather harsh, not to my liking anyhow. Got myself a Larrivee SD instead. I'm sure there are some good ones, but I think a little over-hyped.
Have you ever tried an Iris guitar? Let us know! 👇🏼

@@Raymond04160 Good to hear you're happy with your purchase!
I recently bought one in your shop. Fantastic guitar the sound and playability and i like the matte finish and especially light weight.
Thanks Paul, good to hear you're happy with it!

Thanks Ross, we like the new Iris headstock design better as well!
Having raised in that general area of Vermont; I must say in the local vernacular:"wicked fine ! "
Couldn't have said it better! 😉
The OG seems to have slightly larger bass response than a Gibson LG - as you were in the room, your thoughts welcome.
It wil probably differ between different LG's and OG's but in general they are pretty similar.
Played the MS-00 and tempted to buy one; just need to be able to justify yet another guitar...
You just need ONE MORE guitar...😉
Iris Guitars may be leaning on the Great Depression era for their inspiration but their guitars are very far from depressing.
Very well said!
i love my torrefied adirondack/figured mahogany OG! (ivoroid pickguard, binding and butterbean gotoh tuners with cream M1 baggs soundhole pickup!) ;)
That sounds awesome! 😍
Great guitars
Thanks!
I know-a total different question:
Could please beautiful Tom Punt make a Demo with the Blue Scharpach?
Pleeeeease!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Working on it!
I heard a luthier from Waterloo has joined Iris
Could very well be!

I would encourage you to check out some other ones if you ever get the chance!
