I love the proverb that no good deed goes unpunished. I bet the man whose life she saved is either a very important person in the business world connected to her company who will be enraged when he finds out someone was punished for saving his life or he will be CLOSELY RELATED in some way, for example maybe his SON is an important business person. When they find out how badly the main character was punished for saving his life they will go ballistic on the @$$H0L3 boss guy and pay her compensation for being forced to work overtime with no pay and then maybe promote her over him so she is the one who can give him orders (or just fire him).
