The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. I think Caroline is having an amazing comeback to tennis! I think with every match, she gets better and better! The only thing that I think she needs to work on is probably strength training. She has wonderful accuracy, but she doesn't generate as much power and pace as a lot the players at the top of the game. I think players like Rybakina, Sabalenka, Swiatek, Pegula, Gauff, (etc.) will beat her everytime if she doesn't gather the strength to start hitting the ball harder. These players hit the ball harder and don't make as much errors as her opponent did today, so she'll have a much harder time beating the top players without pace.
Yes^^
I think it's not down to her strength but technique..she uses way too much top spin, especially on the forehand side giving too much height to the ball..she is very toned and athletic I beleive she has the strength but she needs to actually use it and not be afraid of being mistakes and try hitting more flat especially on decisive shots..
Of course we have to discuss her outfit, because that is what is important with women...
If a man used something so different it would be also a subject of discussion. I like her outfit. It looks very sporty and high tech.
Wrestling match?
I love tighties and round shapes
Go Caroline 👏❤️
Caroline will have to raise her game in order to beat Kvitova. 💓
I am eager to see Kvitova's returns
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 : I want Caroline to win but Kvitova may be too strong for her.
@@trommelbiel The courts are slower, so it should be an open match, but her serve is a little soft
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 : I thought as much. Caroline serves too soft and it won't do for today's power hitters like Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka or even the rejuvenated Coco Gauff. But Caroline is a very intelligent player and she is going to find a way to win, hopefully.
When an opponent defeats you and congratulates you on how NICE you played.
Strange highlights. Let's show 100 pct. of Tatianas point and 10 pct. of Wozzys points.
Love the green dress❤️❤️❤️
Caroline looks lean, fit and READY
Great match, both ladies with lovely technique. Tatiana has an appealing feistiness to her play that reminds me of a young Katherine Hepburn.
Both women did very well.
So how come Wozniaki gets nearly 20min air time while everyone else even the legendary Novak and phenom Alcaraz have highlights *UNDER 3MIN!!!!*
Is it cuz Woz used to be apart of the media at the US OPEN??!
Make it make sense plz!
Modesty has left the chat
i hope wozniacki will be able to keep up with all the hard hitting players on tour now
These slo mo replays are gonna be the death of me.
What have they said to each other at the net, anyone heard?
These US open commentators are so bad lol
Best of luck Wozzi!!!
Nice to see a woman with a platform stance serve, so uncommon among the ladies.
@@zlmdragon. Prozorova does not get both legs together before she jumps. She keep her back leg on the same stance
It's balance vs. Speed. The platform stance offers better balance and you hit the ball at a more upright body position. The pinpoint stance gives you better service speed by transferring all your ground pushing energy into the ball slightly more in front into the court.
