Can you BEAT Breath of the Wild using ONLY Rito Gear??

- The Rito may be known for their agile marksmanship, but by only using their weak feathered weaponry is it possible to clear the entire game? We will need to be quite resourceful and scavenging to find the means necessary, but I hope you all enjoy the adventure!! :)

In my head canon these runs are Link showing his love for every champion. Like with the Zora run, it was because he really loved Mipha and is now fighting Ganon as *her* chosen knight. And this run is because Link actually had a deep friendship with Revali and will avenge him! Love this series, it’s sooooo good!

Well Still Waiting For A Goron Only run
I really wished they added a weapon damage buff to fully upgraded tribe outfits when using the same tribe weapon.
Makes it more worth to use lesser weapons like the zora sword.
Honestly...yeah that would be an awesome idea! There's already one like that for ancient, so why not the other races in a smaller capacity!

Exactly, it just makes so much sense for a full set, gear and weapons, that it just baffled me when I noticed it didn't.
And I'd say that that buff should also count the Champion weapons (and the Ceremonial Trident). Sure, it would make Revali's Bow even more busted, but with how most Rito weapons aren't the greatest in terms of stats (and because no other weapon would receive said buff) I would say it's a decent trade off.

Late game I'm only using royal weapons and some level 3 monster weapons. The tribal weapons should should also evole instead of staying on soldier/knight level.
Yeah, the only use they have is to look nice lategame.
I always put them in my house, though frames are tight.
And later i replace them with the champions weapons.
I'm doing my own version of this I think you would find a lot of fun!
It's a soldier run.
-I'm only picking up and using Soldier weapons.
-all divine beasts and ganon.
- only wear the Soldier's armor from Hateno.
-The soldiers were guardians of the people, so I'll do every single side quest (excluding the DLC EX ones.)

You would have to do all shrines to do the gift from the monks side quest, so the run would be somewhat lengthy

That seems painful just because you will start to run out of soldiers gear since all the weapons will level up.
fun BOTW facts / stuff i noticed:
1. the cooking pot in Rito has a gate sort of thing around the flame to protect the highly flammable feathers of the Rito
2. if you aim a charge arrow at the Zora they act more scared then when its normal weapons
3. while there is a cooking pot in Goron city its for travelers, the Gorons cook their food by just putting it on a clean rock and placing it on top of a heat vent
you can cook food in the eldin region by just dropping it on the ground
I like this one especially because now the paraglider doesn’t feel out of place!

Fun Fact: Glass is actually very strong. The main reason it's perceived as not that strong is from how easily people go through glass in movies, but have you ever tried jumping through an actual window? It's not that easy to do. Tempered glass however, that's a different story.
As someone who works with bottle machines... it is INCREDIBLY common for people to drop glass bottles and shatter them compared to Plastic.
This might just be due to America having poor quality everything.

For the last quest, it's where the shadow of the rock points at 17:00 (or 5:00 pm if you use 12 hour time).
Would love to see a Yiga only playthrough(red dyed sheikah armor) and only using weapons like the demon carver, vicious sickle, and the windcleaver

Yes, it’s finally here! The Rito aesthetic is my favourite in the game and someone gave Kass the appreciation he deserves!! Hope you’re feeling alright after covid as well.
Also, would you consider bringing Viv back for some of your future streams, if she’s okay with it of course? It was so nice to have her on your Relics stream the other week.

I loved this one, I've always been a huge fan of the Rito and this run has been excellent! I hope for the next one we see the Bone Run or the Monster Run. Or the Yiga run. Save the Goron one for last since it has the almighty DrillShaft

Goron run sadly won't happen though as they don't have bows, so 3/4ths of the beasts are incompletable - which is why we just did the drillshaft run in it's place!

@@Croton You could do a goron only run by putting bows under forced mandatory items. Use the bows only when absolutely necessary like doing the divine beasts and use goron gear for everything else

I love these challenges. I just did a Gerudo set only run and it was fun. I learned that if all the 'respawnable' Gerudo weapons that doesn't require defeating mobs for breaks, it always brings a blood moon the next night. Weird, right?
Challenge idea: "Can you beat breath of the wild with only Lynel weapons?"
Or alternatively: "Can you beat breath of the wild with only Yiga weapons?"

Idea for a themed run : The Monster Run. Rule 1. All Divine Beasts + Finale must be cleared 2. Only monster weapons and armor are allowed, these things include boko clubs, lizalfos boomerangs, all forms of lynel gear, etc. 3. All champion abilities must be turned off. 4. You are only allowed to get things from the Wild, aka, you cannot buy anything or take anything from towns or civilizations such as the Goron town, kakiriko, Zora domain, etc, everything you pick up must be from the “wild” area of the game. The only exception to this rule is that you MAY get the apology egg, the bridge apple, and you may make normal bread to heal the soul, but not health, it must be eaten when you are at max health or not eaten at all. 5. Mandatory Items are still allowed, such as the Vai set, or the Zora chest piece. This run, as normal has to be on master mode. The challenge for this run would be the lack of armor, as weapons are plentiful and can be very powerful, as you can even get weapons on the plateau, but there are no “monster” sets, the only allowed armor are the barbarian set, which is very powerful, but very late-game, and the various masks such as the Majora’s mask, the Bokoblin Mask, the Lynel Mask, etc.
As someone who absolutely loves Rito’s and Revali, I am super excited for this run!
Just off the intro, I wanna say that the Age of Calamity Revali/Rito theme is a banger

Absolutely. Imo, Age of Calamity greatly improved on much of the already fantastic Breath of the Wild soundtrack
Revali, the RIto Warrior is one of my favorite songs in Age of Calamity (Mipha, the Zora Princess is my first)
I'm kind of split on Revali
Sometimes I think he's a salty chicken wing
And sometimes I think he was to only one to work for his ability so he's actually pretty cool
yeah the latter is why he's salty. He's the only champion asides from Link who got to where they are through sheer skill and not nepotism.
He just doesn't realize Link actually has the skills to back up having the master sword.

The "17 of 24" in Kass' Hero's Cache quest is a reference to the actual time of day. At 5pm (17:00 in military time), the shadow of the rock will point to where the chest lies.

The Hero's Cache quest uses the rock in the middle like a sundial. Wait until 5 pm and the chest is at the tip od the rock's shadow.

Im curious about the goron only run. As gorons do not have bows and shields im pretty sure. Which would make it very difficult

@@aaaa-gx2su well it would be kinda a stretch but I reckon lynel weapons would have to be allowed in a Goron only run seeing at the lore states that they are made from a special steel only found at death mountain.
Also wanna add that TECHNICALLY you don't need a bow or shield if you just straight up rush Gabon but it would be VERY hard especially in second phase but still in the realm of possibility.
Elementals don't have effects on bosses, so sadly it wouldn't make for a very interesting run to take down the blights/ganon with

I love these themed runs! I've seen soldier/knight run suggested, but what about...royal guard! Immediately after great plateau, go straight to Hyrule Castle and get the DLC armor and super strong (yet fragile) equipment.

This shot is absolutely stunning.
I think the only thing that could make these champion avenging runs more poetic would be to bring peace to that respective champions home town (completing all the sidequestd there). Though I understand if you would find that tedious or just in general don't think it should be required
With the blood moon quest, you have a little margin of fifteen minutes after midnight. As long as malice is in the air, you’re good.

Goron run is unfortunately impossible because there isn’t any Goron bow, croton did do a drillshaft only run as a respect to the goron race though, so check that one out if you haven’t already!

I love these videos, I even tried one for myself but a little bit easier, only using the four main races tools. So, gerudo, rito, goron, and zora. It was a lot of fun.
BTW, I've done the blood moon Kass shine quest a few times to find out that you just need to take the armor off. You can keep your weapon, bow, and shield equipped as long as you take off all your armor

We already know Gorons are next. That'll be a challenge because they don't have a shield but I guess a bow like the Knight's bow will be okay (since it is used in the Fireblight DLC fight)
I'm super excited for the goron gear challenge. It's going to be interesting with no bows. Also I always love the small mini challenges that you add like kass in this one. So I'm excited to see what you come up with for the gorons.

For cass’ blood moon shrine quest, you have a window of time after the blood moon cutscene plays of being able to activate the shrine. It’s just something that the game added to make the quest doable.

Just FYI, after you talk to Kass to start the blood moon shrine quest, the next midnight moon is guaranteed to be a blood moon. All you had to do was sit by a campfire after starting the shrine quest til midnight
Blood moons happen by how much time you have played the game

So, now there are soldier/knight/royal soldiers, "goron" (no real goron armor), and elemental (of which the only real element that wouldn't cross over would be electricity).
Of course there are probably more but I haven't played in a while

Nice video! Have you ever tried to use yiga clan gear only? Like the demon carver, something sickle, duplex bow, and wear Sheika gear but dyed red.
I have not, but that ones definitely on the list!! Duplex bows are some of my favorite weapons, and the rest are up there too!
@@Croton hey! I actually thought of another challenge but it might be too hard. So you can play this in normal mode if you decide to do it. Monster chests and chest loot only. (Amibos banned) so basically you can get stuff from chests and monster chest (do you know what I mean by that? It’s the chests from enemy bases) and beat that game that way.

Heres another cool idea a barbarian only challenge. Basically u can only use barbarian armor as armor obviously, but u can also use all bokoblin weapons since their weapons fit the theme of a barbarian.
