    I think that would make a great bath mat, perhaps done in cotton.

    I like single crochet on the return rows better. But I also want it dence. The project I'm working on right now is a Dallas Cowboys blanket made to look like the football field. In the future I might try making a small rug to put by my bed. I also have difficulty making the loops remotely similar size repeatedly, so because I used to raise rabbits and have lots of vinyl tubing for the watering system laying around, I found a 7/16 od vinyl tubing works great for making the loops equal sizes, at least for the project I'm working on right now. Another project down the road I might try something sticker, I already tried a regular pencil that made the loops too short for my liking. But in the future if I do another project in watt longer strands I might try a thicker doll rod or something maybe a broom-handle.

    When I first started watching this video, my creative mind began thinking about how this stitch could possibly be adapted to make a fuzzy and warm blouse or top . So glad I found this video. TYSM for sharing it with us.

    so cool I'm thinking a rug out of it! a teeny tiny question... how would you go for a circular shape?

    • @dorky_squad1311
      @dorky_squad1311 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      make a slip knot, chain 4 and slip stitch into the first stitch (or make a magic circle) and chain one then single crochet 6 and slip stitch into the first stitch then loop stitch then increase all around (12) and slip stitch into the first stitch, chain one loop stitch into the next 2 stitches and then increase, basically follow how youd normally crochet a circle until you get the desired length, have fun!

      @@dorky_squad1311 Yes this would work! Another method I've used is working flat like this video, but increasing at the beginning and end of each Row to go larger then decreasing at the beginning and end to go smaller. I used this technique for the base of the Bonsai pattern.

    Personally,I like the sc spacer better, but it does take forever

    It would seem that if one were making a rug, or wanted a more luxurious plush, that single crochets between HDCs would make more sense, since the denser fibers would make the rug more durable. It makes me wonder how the result would look if slip stitches were used instead of SCs🤔

    • @ClubCrochet

      Yah it should be fine being washed. It's very hard to remove the strands to be honest.
