I LOVE this!!! I’ve never seen these before. This is what I’ve been looking for and didn’t even know it. They would take up very little room in my purse and I could make a little flat cap in case it leaked. I could attach one to a card the way you sometimes attach a bookmark. Oh the possibilities. Thank you!
I'm definitely going to measure these for my next swap , I happen to have a package of pen refills in my stash & now I know what I can use them for 🙌🎉😉💖 tyfs♡
I’ve seen a lot of tutorials on how to make these pens, but you definitely have the best way of making them. Thanks for sharing as always I love the video.❤️
What a great idea thank you for sharing your craft. I was thinking what to do with the outer bits of the pens and came up with the idea they would be useful for pens or needles if you glue the end bit closed (The tip). Or if you again glue the end to seal the outer can be used for small beads. Just an idea x
I meant could you put a paper clip on the inside at the fold to clip it sideways to a page if you don't have a pocket to put it in.Hope that makes sense.
Not distracting from this great idea but not being able to control ink leaking, I think may be an issue especially livingnin the tropics. I prefer a recent find I've made which is the Uni Style Fit which have a Slim model that is a gel pen and it is retractable. Initially they come with a dob of glue over the ink ball, to stop the ink leaking or drying out etc. The pens come in 16 colors and are only 7mm in grab diameter. I think that is a reasonable diameter to sneak into a TN as a spare emergency pen. If I was to use an ink refill in this manner, I would really want something over the ball to prevent accidents.

I really love this idea and am going to make many. Just was wondering if the ink will seep out of the pen onto the pages of books.
I haven't had any trouble, but I also only use quality ink refills.
Really like this thanks for sharing

Yes, after your first comment, I decided to do just that! :)

thanks for the info
Never been first! Love your talent!
Thank you so much for your encouragement!
What brand tape did you use for this project?

I've never seen these before. What are they used for? Are they actually used for writing?
Yes. It's not always convenient to have a pen, or the pen in the loop runs out of ink. Nice to have a backup.
Are these hard to write with since they're so bendy?
I show in the video how to hold them. If you hold them that way, they write just fine.
Cute, yes’ tfs
thank you :)
cute
thank you!
How about on a paper clip?
Do you mean you could use a paper clip to attach the flat pen to the notebook? Sounds great!
The ink refills can ordered on ebay.
thank you ;)
Very cute, but I don't think this would be firm enough for me to write with.
Yes, I find they are helpful for a quick note, but for writing a long journal entry? probably not.
Can you actually write with the pen?
yes, unless you are someone who wraps his thumb around his fingers to write :)
Also, i can't get over how much you sound like Jane Fonda!
I haven't listened to her for a long time, so I wouldn't know :) Sounds funny though. :)
Very clever. ?wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy pen refills instead of taking one apart? 😁
Yes, but I didn't have them at the time.
What a great ideal going make .why not just buy refill??
You definitely can. I wanted to make one right away and use what I had. :) I have a LOT of pens at home.
