My kitchen was looking very sad, so I decided to turn it into a post-apocalyptic bar!

Do you know that the main advantage of this post-apocalyptic kitchen ? Is that even if this place becomes super dirty and dusty, it will never become outdated, and even if it becomes outdated, it will acquire the authentic and aesthetically old look of how it should be😆✨
Quit looking for excuses not to do the dishes, you slacker. 😄
Honestly that's genius 😂😂😂
Deslike.
Same🤗
@@Lucas-yi8ig Same???
Que nada. NÃO ouve "same".
Eu sei disso.
Same de nada.
I swear martina and hansi will end up with an entire fantasy house and this rate 😂 The kitchen looks super cool ❤
Only type of future I’m looking forward is living in house that looks average on the outside, but in the inside is full time fantasy house. If I can’t have future like this, I don’t want future😂
Bro if they ever sell the house they will get so much money for it 😂
Hell yeah and I am there for it.
this is their studio not home
looks like a hollywood movie set up in a warehouse tbh but fallout paid em to make it
If they keep this up, every room in their place gonna be a diffirent era/fantacy. Love this.
@@khaled8671 theres two of them, not just her
I just rewatched it with my Grandma who turned 91 last week. She said the style was correct, but the cockroaches and leaking waterpipes where missing.
9/10 ;)
Making animatronic cockroaches is in an upcoming video.
Oh my gosh, I also showed it to my grandma (85) who said she had that exact same coffee maker 😆
@@brickgardenIf I could find one that still functioned, I'd use it. They're pretty lol.
Your grandma is from 2277?
@@Dank No, 2277's from grandma era
That was hands down the most SMOOTH transition in and out of an ad section of a video i have ever seen! So clever🙌🏻
This kitchen is soooo amazing and definitely, im sure, worth all the time and energy spent to put it together!
yeah i was so impressed i had to watch the whole thing
The outfit and hair with the background got me. I'm like literally in live with the 50s!
What ad? 😋
You guys should make escape rooms.
Actually though
Really, really, tho
Now that would be amazing
Yes !! I’ve been thinking this!
I'm 67 and even though I've never played any of the 'Fallout' series, I love the music tracks and have all of them in my Media server collection! Your enthusiasm is addictive and after seeing some of the scenery from various game clips, etc., you managed to capture the whole essence of the game, right down to the worn paint on the old (but reliable) fridge, the flickering old CRT TV, and the scuff marks on the bar. The parting shot with the dusty haze was picture *PERFECT!!* What an absolute masterpiece.😍👍👍
do you know the name of the song from the final results?
@@roberine7241it’s “Happy on my own” by Kyle cox I think! :)
@@roberine7241 Happy on My Own by Kyle Cox
I play Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 and I will be 78 in September. Not a great player, but it's fun to learn. I have made it to Level 41 in 76. I know - much more to go.
Martina: LETS MAKE IT MORE APOCALYPTIC AND WEATHERED
Also Martina: makes it more functional and cuter
I almost felt bad to see a beautiful kitchen get destroyed and then I saw the results… You can’t ask for a better kitchen. Amazing!
What kitchen being destroyed? all the materials were sourced from late 50’s vibe? The current rendition was a project to re create a fall out 50’s kitchen
@@stevennagley3407 they’re obviously talking about the kitchen she built. she made a beautiful 50’s-style kitchen that looked really cozy and homey and then it was “destroyed” by the weathering and paint.
As a contractor, you guys did a lot of complicated tasks here. You are genuinely very talented people. I already know getting that plywood to bend like you needed it to was no easy challenge.
Nerdforge is conning YT sponsors into building her dream home... and I'M HERE FOR IT! 😻
And that. is. good. content. *winks*
13:32 The problem with those super old tvs is that many of the electronic components where cased in wax paper. Resistors, capacitors and many other things will be in a severe state of deterioration.
The electronic boards on those tvs need a pretty intense restoration before they can be put back into use.
I thought they'd remove the insides and mount an LCD monitor behind the glass (if you can salvage the glass without breaking it or exploding the house, those cathode ray tubes can be dangerous)
Not gonna lie, Martina looked incredibly lovely in her 1950's persona. Amazing work on the kitchen recreation. 🙂
People with talent are so attractive.
Ohmygodyes! Their Nerdforge clothing pics look like they're models@@UniqueNick
I feel like this team is ready to design and build their own house - no longer creating sets that look amazing...but an entire house that is incredible and intricately detailed and 100% them.
Honestly the way you're setting up your workshop is how sims 4 houses wind up during certain challenges😅😅 I love the way that every room is a different vibe, it fills my geeky gamer hearty lol
did you know that there’s a cc pack that has some exact replicas of some items from this kitchen? the bar, the nuka cola bottles, the coffee maker, the cereal… I absolutely love that cc pack!
@@_astralkiss_3015 wish I had a computer for it, I play sims on my ps4 lol
We're gonna need a tour of the entire space at this rate! Murals, workrooms, now a kitchen - it'll be amazing to see them all together!
This has GOT to be the only video on TH-cam about how to make your kitchen look permanently dirty 😂 It looks frickin awesome guys!
Martina, you actually rock the 1950’s look. The kitchen also rocks!
NGL, I got the butterflies in my stomach :) Very charming.
The real reason for having an intern. 18:55 to make a rug for your post apocalyptic pupper. That dog looks soooo comfortable.
13:18 I love the way that that tv died how the image actually got small and faded out into a dot
I love that you're both essentially living out your childhood fantasies about where you'd live and what job you'd have. Living the dream!
For real😭💯
In the next video - Martina and Hansi make a working Codsworth to help out around the kitchen.
They should partner with Boston Dynamics to make this happen! 🙂
At this point I wouldn’t even be surprised
With the TV's you were probably getting spikes passing through the 300 Ohm UHF/VHF input. With the laptop not plugged in you we on a floating ground which could discharged any potential through the RF tuner. Also a lot of the cheaper converter boxes aren't always the cleanest or best grounded things out there and I bet both of the two sets just had everything off the neutral line (pre-ground pin). They are most likely fused, so easily repairable. Also with the age of most of the capacitors in those things they are probably hyper sensitive to any changes (also an easy fix).
You know, if you ever get tired of this youtube thing, you have a built in skill set to open your own FX company. Costumes, weapons, sets. You really do it all.
This woman needs to make a living being an interior decorator of all things aesthetically pleasing. This looks amazing. I could actually see folks from the States paying for her to come over and redecorate/renovate their homes. Great job.
I would.
I guess she's not on the brink of bankruptcy as it is exactly, so why deal with arrogant and spoiled American customers decorating their homes obeying their tacky visions listening to their whining about everything they will never be happy with no matter what when she does whatever she wants at Nerdforge? :D
They have 3mil subscribers and she makes videos where she does interior decoration that get millions of views. She IS making a living as an interior decorator, and she doesn't have to deal with demanding clients and annoying requests.

Thank you Nerdforge for feeding my post-apocalypse hyperfixtion ❤

And thats why production studios ask them two to make stuff for them. You guys are soooo talented, i love your videos.
I think an orange or red light or even blue or green light shining through that kitchen window would create cool effects too.
Am I the only one who would love to live in that house? Between the post apocalyptic kitchen and the wizard workshop, I'd be in seventh heaven! I can't WAIT to see what other projects are in store! Zelda BOTW living room? Dungeon garage? Steampunk bathroom? Their creativity is ENDLESS!
Oo a steampunk bathroom sounds so cool though-
@@Stay_Tiny143 Skibidy toilet and three seashells on a little shelf next to iy.
IDK. I'm thinking more Hogwarts bathroom.
Although, if you're going to do anything Hogwarts, ya gotta make that walk-in closet into The Room of Necessity.
i third the steam punk restroom but also imagine a supernatural room.
Question: How do you know which parts of the kitchen are actually dirty and which are painted?
If you clean regularly, you know it cannot be dirt.
I used my grandfather's paint & tools cabinet in the kitchen and it still has all the old stains from the cans.
it's a no-clean kintchen. the germs will go nicely with the post-apo vibe
@@Anna-fw7lm😂
@@Anna-fw7lm Regular cleaning will remove much of the painted grime but regular use will replace it.
@@williamfleming7558 Are you suggesting to have real dirt on a kitchen that's gonna be used to eat, just to keep the style? 😨
Isn't it better, and more sanitary, to clean it frequently? (so you can avoid using aggressive chemicals)
I mean, if you dust the surfaces and use a wet cloth (maybe water and a bit of vinegar) where you cook, every day, you should be able to preserve the stains... and eventually repaint them.
I know that's a kitchen in a studio, so they have to clean it only after use and before using it again if days has passed.
As a builder, handyman and carpenter. You guys freakin nailed this. I wish i could find some people as skilled as you guys are. So well done. One of my favorites so far
These guys built a TV set with like 3 people in total wtf 😭
Holy crap! 50's ad Martina was just about perfect, right attitude, right makeup, just great. I really enjoyed this episode, the 50's were my childhood. Well done Nerdforge and friends.
PS It never ceases to amaze me just how well washes and dry brushing can age a prop.
OMG so fun! Can we come over for a drink sometime?
Do I smell a E&K Europe-Tour? ❤❤
Meeting with all our maker youtubers across the big pond?
You can do one of your cooking videos in the kitchen!
I want and need this collab!
If you guys came to Norway I would be so happy!!
You'll need to bring your own Nuka-Cola. Martina's is just dyed water.
That final reveal was legitimately emotional. Incredible job
OK, I'm at 12:20 so far and haven't seen any plumbing run...

I can just imagine being invited to Martina's house and she's serving food on banged up, "rusted" counters and me thinking, "Do you ever clean your kitchen?" LOL Looks really nice.
Guys I’m astonished this is the coolest thing I’ve seen even on your channel! And what was that ad?!? Coolest ad I’ve ever seen, and Martina you looked soooo good in that attire.
I am definitely going to make my own house this peculiar when I move out! I love how enthusiastic you are in these projects, and still how you make everything your OWN. Your channel is simply addictive guys thanks for existing 🙏🏻
I've renovated my home in Orkcore. The look is dominated by red, grey, and brown. Brown leather and brown wood. Grey concrete, grey iron, grey stone, occasionally grey stained wood such as my house number sign. Red leather, sedona red stained wood, a bit of red trim, red painted roof. Dark ages war/hunting weapons such as battleaxes, shields, and spears as decorations. Hide rugs and Navajo rugs. Raw materials and recycled materials such as barnwood tables. Exposed industrial elements such as large bolts where practical and industrial iron brackets. Pointiness added everywhere it can be done safely, such as pointy plants, pointy curtain-rods, pointy fencing, pyramid tacks, horns, antlers.
I know, it's from Wall-E and not from Fallout, but I think a plant in a boot would be a nice detail. Anyway, the kitchen looks awesome!
Weathering this kitchen felt so wrong and so right, at the same time 😀 It looks amazing!
You hit the nail on the head with the 50's vibe. And the little advert on TV was SO AWESOME!!
Very well done to all of you, keep up the good work 💯
U FORGOT BAR CHAIRS
I love how your studio's name is Fablegate. It fits so well! You've opened a gate and realized your imagination! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
Wow, a few of the final product shots at the end look like they are 3D renders right out of the game. Amazing job Martina
This turned out so awesome nerdforge!! If your up for the project…. A Last of Us addition could be a pretty sweet new project. like a sitting room attached that’s been corrupt by fungus… just an idea but keep doing what you guys do! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
You've raised the bar once again. When your usual videos are 11/10, this one is a solid 12. The effects, cutting, camera work, construction, composition, just perfect and wow.
Also lots of meme potential in this.
1:22 dry swimming dude rocks.
16:22 suprised Martina from the 70s
10:08 shame on those that had something else in mind when they first saw this metal hook
p.s.: If Martina would talk in normal speed, this Video would be an hour long. Beware, Busta Rhymes may contact you.
the strange sort of melancholy that i got seeing the transition from the bright shiny kitchen to the grungy, smoked out, dark version was so wild. beautiful capturing of that hollowed out and worn vibe!
I have been an avid Fallout player since the original and also an avid Nerdforge follower and supporter since the very early days, as well, and I gotta tell you - you nailed this one! So very very cool! (As always). The aesthetic is spot-on! Congratulations!
Martina, can I possibly get you and Hansi to design my tiny home?
The retro-futuristic post apocalyptic style of fallout is one of the best things about it
3:30 😯 OOH That color is stunning!! What is the hex decimal value of that color :O I'd love to use it in my kitchen/bar. I am loving this project. A 50's themed fallout bar/kitchen is such a great idea!! I'd personally love to go for that retro burger themed restaurants but I do love this color, maybe like a vintage diner theme with that color is something I could do.
They have a mage room with cool "window" TV, now a P-A kitchen. Is the living room getting turned into a spaceship or sci-fi fantasy room? Or is that the rec-room? Will there be a TARDIS? Or maybe the dining room becomes a giant fish tank? Or coral reef? The attic becomes something steampunk? Each room will be an AESTHETIC?
I love that different areas in your studio have completely different vibes but commit to them fully.
Excellent result! And you were outstanding as a 1950s television commercial housewife. The makers of Fallout ought to shoot a cameo of you in this persona and put it into the game.. Congratulations to both of you.
Absolutely phenomenal job! LOVE IT! (And your hair! )
Pro tip from a professional home organizer… the aesthetic decor products you made for the shelves can be used to store things like food you ACTUALLY use. Simply find a container that can fit inside each of the decor items (like cram) and fill it with whatever food items you always keep on hand, perhaps like pasta or rice or beans. 😊
The kitchen is 10/10. Im chocked aahah BUT ALSO, the video in the END?! AS A photographer, i need to give u all the credits for the AMAZING cinematographic lightning. bravo!
Martina's acting and communication skills are top-notch compared to her first videos.
I'm starting to find the over-reacting really annoying.
@@maximedelmasNah, she's just having fun and more confident on camera now. She's not over acting. She's just comfortable!
Martina, as someone who grew up in the 1950s, you're place looks like my grandmother's restaurant from that time period! LOVE the fridge! Love the TILE! I also love the light teal color of the cabinets, even though in the 1950s, they didn't have cabinets that color. Also, my mom has a Kit-Kat clock in yellow on the wall. Those were extremely popular in the 1950s. I laughed about those hanging lamps with the pull chain. My father had those in the basement! The first TV is from the 50s; the second looks more from the 60s or 70s. The little TV is definitely NOT from the 1950s. My family got our first TV in 1954 and it was a big clunky thing. I love the fact that no only did you get the portable TV to work, but it had the STAND BY logo!!! How cool!
The AD for Fallout is MAGNEFICIENT!!!! You got the 1950s vibe down perfectly! 😻
That's my thinking, more restaurant than bar, but charming , nonetheless.
Yes; was gonna write - you have not seen the 50s kitchen aesthetic, however, who'm I to dis the Nerdforge essence? The whole thing is a lovely mishmash of not-quite-right things; but it's such a dream to watch them, I wish the upload was longer (that shopping spree woulda been marvellous content)
@@ValeriePallaoro Her creativity is off the charts and she's soooo creative in so many areas! I wish I had been that ambitious when I was younger. Heck, I wish I was that ambitious now!

Martina and Hans - thanks a gazillion for creative vibe, awesome video editing and cool ideas! Btw, Hans, if you read this - keep old TVs, they can work with small single-board computers that have analog video output. Old TVs often need capacitors to be replaced, and you get super awesome good looking old TV.
Seeing Nori all curled up on that custom rug warms my heart
15:56 you look amazing there, well done
Those visuals at the end were incredible. The way that was filmed REALLY looked like it was pulled directly from a videogame lol.
I gotta admit, I don't really care about this project. I just watch because her enthusiasm and creativity are just amazing and relaxing to watch.
martina becomes more chaotic every video and I am absolutely here for it
If you want to get in to theatrical set design or dressing, this can be your sizzle reel. That retro kitchen aesthetic was wonderful -as was your on screen time travelling alter ego. :) The 21:53 transition to the ambient window and bar lighting sells it. :)
The thing that I look forward the most to seeing is her little doggie😂❤❤😊 SO CUTE N' FLUFFY!!!!❤❤😊😊😊
Martina is that engineer NPC we all meet in RPG games. She is cute, funny a whiz with machines, the hero literally cannot succeed without her and yet still somehow ends up in BFFville when she should be romantic interest :P
15:50 That was one of very, very few sponsored fragments that I actually watched and enjoyed instead of jumping forward to the rest of the video :D
Retro-futurism has been making such a comeback in the home decor space , this is such a grungy & nerdy take on it , i'm obsessed ❤ Well done guys !!!

Getting so many amazing vibes from this! The steel wool is genius and it’s all so realistic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
you went from mini to real life size projects and im loving it
I would love to see Martina and Hansi make an escape room set it would be AMAZING!
Amazing project! The TVs dying after a bit of usage sounds a lot like old capacitors failing after many decades, although they would require time to fully repair, these TVs were designed to be fixed, so a quick google search for the repair manual, a multi-meter and a soldering iron should be enough to fix them, you still need to find the replacement parts though.

Not gonna lie, I'd like the retro 50's vibe, even for my actual house kitchen.
Round Three was such a good video... Rodney and Daewon, Chris Haslam does some really creative stuff.. Just a banger of a video
It's so cool looking, love this style. I waited for the stove to be put in, I think I never saw a kitchen without one until now.
Also, Martina looks so pretty in that commercial.
15:45 - best part like you look at the TV, convincingly surprised, and then the advertisment. 😂 Sometimes you watch content creators with the wildest placements; not matching to their content at all or just reading down a script for 15s and done entirely but your combinations of project and placement is literally brilliant.

It looks amazing!!! I've always wanted a 1950s kitchen myself as I just love the whole look of them. Going that extra mile to make it Fallout themed is just so good!
Martina as a young maiden working the diner scares me- like at any moment she would jump out of the screen AHHH
The good thing about a post apocalyptic kitchen: you never have to clean it again to make it looking even more real 😂
Love it! You managed to get the grimy aesthetic without sacrificing the functionality of the kitchen. The bar looks awesome!
The addition of the bar would make for a good thing to have even in a modern day kitchen.
No Skjera Bagera to start? No hand trowel-for microphone during advert?
Who are you and what did you do to Nerdforge?!
Great job and entirely on-point, as usual! Love your content.
I liked it more pristine honestly. And this is coming from someone that LOVES grungy apocolypse stuff. I feel like keeping it clean and just having it be a prewar kitchen would have been a cool concept too.
There is literally nothing left to do here, it's perfect in every way. 12k hours in Fallout 4 alone, by far my favorite game franchise. One day when I get a house I will have a fallout bar/room and will certainly get inspiration from this. Ya'll are amazing.
Old televisions have tubes and boards that really hold on to dust. That can make them burn out. I love what you've done with the place!
If you have extra money to throw-away, a large LCD monitor in place of the window. Either have a webcam to the the real outside -- or have a nuclear blast go off every hour on the hour (so it doubles as a clock). Maybe have it blare air raid sirens on the quarter-hour to complete the clock effect.
