Big convertibles are a blast. You can get another couple in there for a summer night in town or a few friends to raise a little hell ! I had a '67 Olds 442 convertible. It drove beautifully. I liked the top down early morning or late evening/night time. I worked all day in the sun. To hat was enough. Like I said, these big convertibles are fun. PEACE from Philadelphia.
So beautiful, stick with the white top. Your are right, the 74 side moldings are the best. Don't know how you could possibly part with this car, wish I could afford it and didn't live in the rusty northeast. Dream of having my 73 Caprice coupe back, in showroom condition. Best car I ever owned, still going strong when it had 240K miles on original engine and tranny, but the rust had consumed it.
Love your Caprice it's really sweet! My dad had had a 75 Caprice Estate wagon. You are right these are not cheap and hard to find. I am currently keeping an eye out for a 75-76 wagon but i would settle for a 74-76 two landau coupe.
Yes they are very beautiful cars I love 71 to 76, also had a landu super clean green out side light green inside factory sold it a few years back to some guy in Alaska I wish I still had it have not run in to one like that at all
Thanks I just took the 74 in for a new top but there saying that the one that matches the car Is back oder I went to 2 shops they both told me that so I'm thinking I might have to do white again
I would keep it ALL factory original. I would put a black convertible top on it, because then it would match the black interior. I would not put dual exhaust on it. i would take that after market stereo out of it.
I went with the white top this is how it came out from factory ,the original radio is still there I wanted to keep it original so I put that radio with the console but can easily be removed , and your right about the muffler the single one makes it run smoother and actually has plenty of power, i do have a 1975 caprice but is not original and runs powerful but many times I just want to drive quiet and smooth that's y I appreciate the original. I will be adding a video this week of the 74 with new top and new tires american classic 235-75-15 👌
