    Olá
    Gostei demais do seu vídeo. Procurava vídeos que explicassem como é um velomobile e o seu foi o que de longe melhor explicou.
    Parabéns e muito obrigado

    Thanks for the tour! It's allways nice to see good quality velomobile videos. I also have the Quadlock mount in my Quest for my iPhone. It really is good.
    I'd like to see a video about changin tire to Waw rear wheel. Do you have to remove the whole rear part of the body to gain acces to the rear wheel? On my Quest the rear wheel is mounted on one side only so I don't have to remove the wheel for tyre change. Is the Waw rear wheel mounted in a fork?
    I also like to see well edited riding videos. Most of velomobile ride videos are more or less raw footage. I've been trying to avoid raw material videos in my YT channel.
    I hope that you keep making good videos.
    And congratulations for the new velomobile! It looks beautiful and fast. Good color choice 😜

    I would be very interested in seeing a demonstration and comments about how you get in and how you climb back out of the WAW, plus a description of your height, weight, shoulder width, shoe size, x-seam length. That would help me know what to expect for me in a WAW at 6'3" tall, 190 pounds, bike sandal size 14 men's, x-seam 46.5" in recumbents. Overall, your tour of the WAW is the most complete I've ever found! Way to go, WAW!

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Height is 5'8", weight is 180 (for now), shoe 9.5, shoulder I ware a 42 reg (I am pretty broad shoulder for my height).
      I had a part on getting in and out but need help with someone else holding the camera. I'll put one out soon!

    As a recumbent cyclist, that's interested in velomobiles as a vehicle choice. Have you looked into the Aidoo trailer? As an addition to the use of any velomobile. It can be used as the luggage carrier, and electric assist.

    You need a spring and washer on the bolt and nut that you tighten to keep up So replace the nut and bolt with a longer bolt so would be in this order . Bolt , washer , spring , washer then the bracket then a washer and a wing nut . I hope this helps .

    Great review, and many upgrades since the early days. I ride WAW 028, and although spartan by comparison, it actually has enough space to take full camping gear and luggage, or a full shopping trip, or all I need for my commute to the office. I noticed a few changes that make me wonder if I'd still fit in the newer WAWs, like the closing off of the space behind the head (I can tuck my head in mine), and the dashboard, which would make getting into it even more tricky (unless the seat is lower too...). How's the rear suspension?

    Hello! Nice video, and beautiful velo. I have a suggestion for you and your lose gps mount. Buy a couple of super magnets glue one on the back of the gps mount and one on the inside of the fairing that should be enough to hold it out of the way when not needed. :-)

      The Bafang assist motor runs through the bicycle gears. You have big torque while in the lower bicycle gears to climb any hill with and in the higher gears on the flat you can easily cruise along at 20 - 25mph with nominal pedaling on your part.

    On that alarm does it not have options? As for extra storage, trailer? The Bafang screen- could it not be put into the structure like a conventional dashboard? I do find a lot of them a bit low to the ground - traffic humps we have them everywhere and it would hit them all as they are quite high.

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Doney-Mccloud the “alarm” is a “horn” could be changed out really anything can be modified if one is willing to. You have to be very careful on things like speed bumps. There are some cells with higher ground clearance like the cabbike.

  • @francescosoave1227
    @francescosoave1227 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey very nice video thanks! questions:
    - would you say it's possible to mount the e-assist batteris on the front boom or somewhere else to save space at the back?
    - how is the ground clearance (ie speed bumps ok?)
    - say you add a storage pocket in the nose..could you reach it without having to unscrew the nose?
    - have you tried other velomobiles as well (eg DF, Quest, Mango...) and why did you end up with a Waw?
    thanks!

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Battery location on the boom would make it a little harder to get in and out it really didn’t take a ton of space had plenary of room to haul a lot of stuff
      Ground clearance is good for a velo still have to take it easy in some situations depends on the speed bump style
      Depends on the short or long nose really was able to pack al it behind the seat and along my sides
      Ended up with the WAW because I wanted a mixed use velo not just for speed and racing also wanted something g that was easy to work on with the removable nose and tail it makes that very easy!

    Looks like a very close fit around the shoulders. Any problems there with hitting the velomobiles edges when riding up and downs ramps/curbs etc.?

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Birgir Birgisson not really as you can adjust the seat pitch I like to be up a little higher and don't rally notice to much hitting the edges but you can add some tubing along it to soften the edge for those times you do hit it.

    how would someone in an apartment secure it. Most velomobiles are more than 33" wide which exceeds the standard door way. Appreciate any ideas on storing a velomobile for apartment dwellers..? Thanks

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rob K I guess it depends on where you live. Some places have underground parking and even then I'd want to store it using a solid lock. Like the thicker kryptonite locks...or multiple locks. Just make it overly difficult to steal. Maybe look into a gps unit so if it is stolen retrieval is possible. Also get insurance so if it is stolen it can be replaced at little cost.

    My question is related your analysis of the pro and cons of each different type of Velomobiles. I need something that is fast but I also don't want to die of heat exhaustion while riding to work either. Can I put a fan in the front nose of the WAW to move air in to the cabin when riding with the top closed? I looked at the Milan SL, the Quest, and then the eWAW are at the top of the list. I do like your setup and it seems safe. I do however want to use my Garmin GPS as opposed to the one they sell. Is that an option? I also want to use something compared to my Light & Motion mountain bike lights -- see www.lightandmotion.com/choose-your-light/seca -- or are their lights as bright as these? Mine are 2000 lumen and I use two while commuting to work. Also I am looking the eWAW version so that on the days I am tired i have electric motor as backup. if you don't mind me asking, what is the cost analysis of the different velos similarly configured like yours?

    • @velovloger2553
      @velovloger2553  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      DitchThe FossilVehicle wow a lot of questions there. I like the eWAW allows a good workout while on my way to work but don't arrive drenched in sweet. As far as a fan I've know other velonauts who have rigged one up. I really recommend chatting with people on bentrider forums. I also know someone who ran tubbing from the front bent hole that leds to their face. On hot days with no chance of rain I leave the whole top system off allows a lot more air flow. Watch some of my other videos in regards to the Garmin. You could use a longer GPS mount to allow for a larger screen Garmin. I've though about doing this in the future. Lights I have had no issues with the power I will be posting night video soon. Total cost it depends on what you opt for. Katanga has a price list on their site. As far as other velos I've rode a DF and they are nice again check out bentrider and ask actual owners for their thoughts.

    • @TheDakra
      @TheDakra 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @velovloger: So the WAW is more suitable for commuting than the DF from your perspective?
      In the German velomobilforum the DF gets much more attention, but I like the modular designn of the WAW. It seems also better with regard to maintenance and crash.
      Are you happy with the WAW for your commuting?

  • @thenorcorider88

      Andrew Dobbins turn radius is better. Was looking at the strada but like the nose and tail coming off on the WAW to make it easier to work on components.

      Jacob Wegener yeah I’ve thought about a Quattro but the trail system makes it too difficult to really use one here. It fits it’s more getting on and of the trails different transition points and so on. I’m looking at the electrom for my next “bike” purchase. Want something with a little weather protection but gives the assist making it easier to really use it for a car replacement.
