thedondon911911 how? if you're not even gonna reply anything relevant to the first guy who disagrees with you and just say it shows I'm young, that just helps me show you're full of sheit
I think Kanye is a smart guy but he's horrible at wording things. I respect him for not wanting to filter himself, but I can't help but want him to just take a few moments to better put his thoughts across. That being said Trump is going to be horrible for America, he'll literally do what Hilary would have but he's also allowing the alt-right a free pass and everyone else who's hateful. Fantastic show again!
He's definitely a smart dude. agree with you on that. Part of me thinks he sabotages himself as a means to put more pressure on himself for his next release. That Drake/Ye project's gotta be closer than ever.
hes a self promoter that has crossed over to an attention junky, each outburst has made his empire bigger. he was click bait before there was clickbait
I still fuck with Kanye because of that interview about homophobia in hip-hop. Yes, it's difficult to defend him sometimes but at least one thing is still consistent. He's never afraid to speak his mind no matter how unpopular the opinion. I respect that.
@apersonorsomething his last 3 Albums?! Yo, that's The Life Of Pablo, Yeezus, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I can understand Yeezus (most people don't like it but I love it), but TLOP and especially MBDTF are instant classics!
Cashmere Thoughts no. He's delusional. And nobody thinks Bernie sanders is crazy, because he's actually doing things that change society and he's trying to change the government. There is nothing you can take from kanye He's mumbling incoherent and factually incorrect shit, and people eat it up like he's being profound. Truth is, he's out of his fucking mind and is having mental health complications, I love kanye but he needs to get some help, and he needs to stop having Yes-men around him, his new music is awful, and his ego is growing larger because of hypebeasts around him.
DeadpoolX9 kanye doesn't know jack shit about politics, he doesn't know anything about checks and balances and corporate interests and just assumes Obama is a good guy that wants to make good decisions all the time and that they shut him down just because obama's black. Kanye is the prime example of what a pseudo intellectual is.
People talk about Kanye being polarizing. I can just imagine how demonized a guy like Tupac would be in this overly sensitive, social media generation lol
Tupac ain't Kanye! Pac was socially intelligent, he understood the game and knew how to manipulate it. He was controversial and righteous at the same time. Pac knew how to balance his rhetoric for the large audience at that young of an age. And most importantly, Pac was self-conscious, and that's something Kanye never had.
Mohamed Hamza Khaouti Pac clearly didn't know balance because his overly violent ways got him killed. He wss very intelligent, but he was still too young and naive.
Carlos Quinones I'd disagree with that! Pac was a visionary, he's seen the future like no other rapper/entertainer did. He was going against the system and was seeking change, and unlike many anti-system people out there, he had the masses behind him (the underprivileged in particular). So that made of him a target. And that's what got him killed. He wasn't the only gangsta rapper out there. Others were involved in more violence than him, but they're still alive!
You gotta really understand Kanye to realize why he said he likes Trump. Kanye doesn't even think about all the stuff most people trash Trump for when he said he likes him. The reason he said that is cause there are a lot of similarities between them and Kanye sees that. ---v First they both go off on Twitter rants with no filter and call people out on Twitter. They say exactly what they feel no matter what it is. Second, neither of them is concerned with what people think of them. Third, they both have a habit of interrupting others (Kanye and Taylor, Trump vs. Hillary at the debates). Fourth, they BOTH get trashed by the media on a non-stop basis, have their words twisted around, get vilified and the media goes after everything they do to put a negative spin on it. When you think about it like that, it's easy to see why Kanye would like Trump. Kanye sees himself in Trump, sees a connection to Trump, they're on the same wavelength and Kanye relates to Trump. That's why he likes him.
You could take the comparison further to include that despite arguably being douchebags, they are both incredibly skilled and successful in their respective fields.
More like, why he keeps hanging around and latching on to hip hop. It's not even hip hop it's a caricature of the culture. The wigga is early-90s vanilla ice x1000000
I dont fuck with every song on Yeezus and there were definately some questionable lines but I have no idea how anybody can listen songs like Black Skinheads, New slaves, Hold my liquor and especially Blood on the leaves and honestly tell me Yeezus as a whole was wack. HOW SWAY?????
learning2understand Quote: " but I have no idea how anybody can listen songs like Black Skinheads, New slaves, Hold my liquor and especially Blood on the leaves and honestly tell me Yeezus as a whole was wack. "
To me, it all about music and because of that I love Kanye. Old or New. His music has always been amazing for the most part. IMO, his music has been awesome. So fuck with Kanye.
Really? I like it more than I liked 808s and Yeezus (which I agree is a great album). I thought TLOP was exactly what it was meant to be: a bunch of beautiful songs (per his GQ interview in 2014 I think).
He even dissed Jay Z and Beyonce in a new rant during a concert in Sacremento. Didn't perform that much and left, with the audience leaving in disgust. maaaaaan kanye going thru a Britney Spears type of breakdown right now. #PrayForKanye
At 7:20 you guys literally play the clip explaining his ideology of liking Trump. It's like some people would just rather get offended than think logically.
What's bold about monday morning quarterbacking? The dude didn't vote. Hid his opinion until Trump won. Then poorly reasoned against his previous reasoning. Where's the bravery in that? He focused on race when race isn't the issue. The economy is the issue and Trump's early choices and early policy signals against that issue, which is the one Ye is saying to focus on.
***** And what if he admitted to ACTUALLY voting for Trump? He likely would never have done that. I don't quite understand voting FOR Trump. And race CLEARLY is part of the issue. How could you possibly say it's not? The bravery is where he was willing to embrace our future to the scrutiny of fans and publications like you. Also Trump's "early choices and policies" are the ones most made fun of. Nobody want's to talk about how he's (assumed) going to try to make this a country for everybody.
That's my point. Classism is racisms cousin. Trump's policy exacerbate the wealth gap. Wealth disparity exacerbates classism. Yet, Yeezy supports him because he likes his campaign. A campaign void of the details he's now sharing, which are counter to what Kanye said he was fighting against.
smh coming out in support of Trump despite being one of the most popular men on the planet isn't bold? Just because you want to do everything in your power to denounce Trump doesn't mean other people are weak for moving forward.
I sorta agree with Kanye's stance. I'm black, and from I've seen around me, online research, and social media; black people blow a lot of things out of proportion. Yes, there is institutionalized racism in America. Yes there is racism in America, but compared to how it was in the past, it's gone down considerably. But honestly, the people that are racist are not the majority, and they want to be racist so let them. Seriously, what are you gonna do to them? You can't change how someone thinks. About the institutionalized racism in America, the only way to change that would be for more black people to be in the middle and working class. Blame the Urban culture and the music being put out for young black people nowadays still gang banging and living the street life. It's always the rappers talking about slanging dope, killing niggas, robbing people and places, smoking blunts, 'fuck the police', that always get big and famous and that people listen to. There's organizations like black lives matter but they really care? All they focus on is police brutality and a few publicized cases of racism across the country, but what do they about the 3300 people shot in Chicago this year and 700+ people that died from their wounds in chicago this year, not by police, but by other black people? Just this month 204 people how been shot. What about the people in haiti? Black lives matter doesn't do anything about them. It's just a dumb organization pushing their agendas behind a facade of caring about black people. YES RACISM IS IN AMERICA, but it's dying out. It's in the majority of the older generations that are dying every day, yes theres racism in younger people but i think its safe to say its less than 15%, and a majority is down south in areas filled with only white people so they don't interact with others. Focusing on the racism in the country won't help at all. It will literally have no effect. Stop focusing on it and live your life and be the best you can be and reach your goals, prove to them that you aren't a stereotype. It's also pretty funny when I see black people say things like "fuck white people" or "white people should be our slaves now, i hate them", then say black people can't be racist....Racism is hating or thinking you are better or posses better qualities than a person because their race. Anyone can be racist, there's racist people of all colors and races. Stop playing the victim, become the victor. Just my take on society nowadays as an Educated black millennial male.
i find it difficult to believe that people get mad at Trump voters for being racist while ignoring the fact that Clinton, as part of the Obama administration, has been engaging in a drone-assisted genocide of Muslim people across the world just to keep defense contractors in business for the last 8 years. I mean, what's more racist, a guy who says racist shit or a modern day Genghis Khan pretending she's Martha Stewart?
Jesse Torres I haven't done much research into that yet, I was planning too however I agree to some extent. Everyone is calling Trump a racist (which he is) but Hilary is just as racist, there have been accounts of her saying racist things about blacks and asians in the past. I guess people just have this brainwashed view that because she's a women and a democrat, she isn't racist or something. I personally am not a democrat or republican. Both sides have positive views and both sides have some very negative, disgusting views that I do and don't agree with, respectively. Trump and Hilary are probably both equally bad candidates if you leave out the No-Fly zone she wanted to put in effect. If you factor that in, Trump is the better option. Either way though, I'm not happy that either of those people were our nominees and I'm not happy that Trump is the soon-to-be president.
may I ask you a question. As a black man would you welcome people into your culture like the japanese do or make fun of them and tell them to fuck off like a lot of black people do
I think it's very likely Kanye was trolling, seeing as Kim was always supportive of Hillary and the Democrats. Also, Ye performed at the DNC this year, or something like that. However, there is a possibility that Ye's comments were taken out of context. The full rant was apparently more about uniting a divided nation rather than picking political sides. So i think that, like Dave Chappelle, what Ye was trying to say is "Give him a chance" instead of "I support his policies and ideas", of course, poorly-worded in Kanye fashion. Also, as you mentioned, he talked about how Trump exposed America's racism, which might be another reason of his alleged liking of Trump. Up until now, not all, but many politicians, both Democratic and Republican, have pushed policies and laws that target and discriminate minorities under false pretenses. Maybe having an openly-racist President in the White House, instead of a possibly closeted one (Like Hillary, if you remember her comments from the 90's about black teens being super-predators) is a breath of fresh air in Kanye's eyes. There is a final possibility, and that is, like many other rich individuals in America, he realizes how much he will financially benefit under Trump's tax breaks for upper-class citizens. In that case, his whole anti-classist stance of Yeezus was more of a push towards seeming like a relatable individual fighting for the underprivileged, instead of the award and praise-hungry egomaniac he presented himself as over the years. This reminds me of Drake, how he tried to prove his abilities as a rapper on If You're Reading This, only to go back to his usual struggle bars and emo pop on Views when the money started stacking up. Also, saying that Ye, a man who designs high end fashion, co-owns a music streaming service, founded his own record label imprint and has a net worth of around $100 million, is a leader in the fight against classism is a bit ironic. At the end of the day, i don't think this comment will affect Ye's career too much, seeing as some other celebrities and musicians have said much worse and kept on rolling. For example, David Bowie once said that he likes Adolf Hitler, calling him the original rock star, and said how England needs fascism, to clean up everything that's wrong. Still, Bowie is considered a rock legend and his passing this year was mourned by millions, not because of his coked-up bullshit rants from the 70's, but because of his work as a musician. So, in the end, i don't think this statement will matter.
I think Kanye is a man with some good ideas and views who has gone crazy and disconnected a bit from reality. It's at a point where people as close to him as Hov don't really fuck with him any more. But btw, in my opinion he still hasn't made a single bad album. Even 808s, Yeezus and TLOP are fucking epic.
Kanye never changed in my opinion, well musically at least. He's always been doing something new. Take CD/LR/ and GRAD and play them all side by side. they all sound different. Kanye's always evolving his sound
Yo what's with this gatekeeping shit, if someone likes kanye enough to go to his concerts and they call themselves fans then they're fans. Fuckers who are always saying "not real fans" and shit just want to ruin it for everyone else becuase they think they're special they have all his albums or "listened since day one", smh. Almost as bad as frank ocean fans.
I gotta say, I expected some usual Ye bashing here, but you broke this down really well. I don't 100% agree though... The part that follows in that video keeps getting overlooked, where he clarifies that he still aligns with the ideals he's advocated for a long time. He just respects Trump's game. That's been a common commentary throughout this whole election - even if you don't agree with his views, you've gotta admire how Trump went out there and just fucking owned it, somehow appealing to the everyman when he couldn't be more distant from them. So why is that when Ye, who has interest in running for office, and who describes himself as a "product guy", admires Trump's tactics from that standpoint, he's out of line? He's just saying the campaign was genius, cos it fuckin was - it worked, didn't it? No one took it seriously until the final hour and yet it worked.
Great video. First and foremost, I despise Donald Trump. I think Kanye is clearly very intelligent - but he doesn't always express his views coherently. Most people will read "Kanye supports Trump" and freak out - but there's more to this story than a soundbite or a headline. If you listen to his extended "rant" Kanye never endorses specific Trump ideologies or proposed policies. He only endorses Trump's method of communication, which was undeniably disruptive to the political status quo. Most of us agree that the political status quo is broken - but even with that it mind - most of us don't truly believe that Trump is the solution. I don't believe Kanye does either. From what I gathered in listening to 15 minutes or so of his "rants" - Kanye prefers Trump because Trump broke the system. Kanye wants the system to be broken - perhaps so he can run in 2020? One last thing - Kanye is frequently the victim of unfavorable soundbites and the general perception of him as an arrogant loud mouth. Unfortunately, most people won't read past the headline or listen past the soundbite. Furthermore, Kanye made an excellent point about allowing space for differing opinions and perspectives yet still cooperating. TL;DR Kanye doesn't support Trump - he supports the reshaping of the political system.
Kanye speaks some real shit in that "I'm a God" interview, gives me chills everytime I watch. His racial argumentation sound kinda corny and manipulative sometimes but he hit the nail on its head that time.
Good to hear someone who is a fan of all ranges and generations of hip hop appreciate Yeezus, I still see so many people trash the album. I'd probably put MBDTF at my #1 and College Dropout and Yeezus tie for #2 and #3.
CSR fr, I got yeezus a week after it released, and thought something was wrong with me. Cause I loved it(especially blood on the leaves) and any time I attempted to say it was good, everybody and their momma called me a dickrider XD. Very glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks it was dope
CSR At first listen I didn't really like Yeezus. It took maybe 4 listens but after that it became one of my favorite Kanye albums after MBDTF. For me personally his worst album is 808's and Heartbreak. Though the first half of that album is dope as hell
Kanye is thinking on another level you just have to listen to him cause he gives a lot of examples to explain himself. He not saying he a god its a example to show how everyone mindset is being controlled to make you believe that you have a limit to your abilities. listen to the whole interview and don't let them tell you what to think
Kanye had a run of spectacular albums in the 00s that is only comparable to Stevie Wonder in the 70s. Legendary musician whether people like him or not
I’ve watched videos here and there and I’ve been watching many of your videos within the past few days. I love this channel. Prefect delivery to provoke thought, whether I agree or not. You have a fan here.
Damn, I thought this video would be more of the "media machine" fueled by outrage and headlines, but I was pleasantly surprised to find an insightful and well-informed view of the matter from someone who knows more about Kanye than just a synopsis slapped on their desk before a news segment. Keep it up!
I guess haters are not on Kanye's level and don't understand what he's going through people need to leave him alone the entertainment business ain't easy these days.
He likes Trump because of his genius campaign plan and how he won against all odds. Also, who cares about his political views? As long as he continues to make great music we shouldn't let his opinion on the prrsident get in the way.
I agree that Kanye's Yeezus is his top 2 albums as well. Im not a hip hop expert, but i think that he successfully redefined the aesthetics and "the sound" of what hip hop was then. As if he shifted gears. . . . The sounds are very different from what one's used to hearing in any genre of music; aside from being a departure form MBTDF (but kind of a come back to 808's "say you will"), incredibly minimalist-he assigns as music, sounds like heavy breathing, screaming, panicking... Its very very interesting (sonically) .... @HipHopDX have you done a breakdown of yeezus?
This is the best list of Kanye's best albums in order: 1. The College Dropout 2. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 3. Graduation 4. Late Registration 5. The Life of Pablo 6. Yeezus 7. 808s Heartbreak *#3 & #4 are really close*
Justin you entitled to your own opinion but I think the Top 3 Kanye Albums are 1. Late Registration 2. College Dropout 3. 808'S and Heartbreaks with Yeezus 4th but I see how it can be top 3 like usual great video keep it up you are going places
***** True, which is why I like the album but also why I dont consider it hip hop. Yeezus ends up feeling more like an experimental rock album than a hip hop album to me. Its more caught up in 'perceived deepness' than the samples and cadence that made Kanye, Kanye. Yeezus was the first entry of the New Kanye.
***** touche. I guess its just the autotune melody era I dislike. Its rappers like kanye, future, drake and now desiigner who like the overall melody/flow rather than the lyrics. While I think Kanye does it better than most I wouldn't necessarily want to call them or certain albums hip hop either. When drake does it hes a pop artist I think they are too to some extent.
These are some of the most hip hop lyrics in history: So go and grab the reporters So I can smash their recorders See they'll confuse us with some bullshit like the New World Order Meanwhile the DEA Teamed up with the CCA They tryna lock niggas up They tryna make new slaves See that's that private owned prison Get your piece today They Probably all in the Hamptons Braggin' 'bout their maid Fuck you and your Hampton house I'll fuck your Hampton spouse Came on her Hampton blouse And in her Hampton mouth Y'all 'bout to turn shit up I'm 'bout to tear shit down I'm 'bout to air shit out Now what the fuck they gon' say now?
Good vid, good concept. However, Ye never said he supports trump, he said 1. He didn't vote (I give him props for having the balls to say that and think he made the right choice there), 2. If he had voted, he would've voted trump... again, mad props for admitting that unpopular opinion. Like you said ppl fucked with the idea of an outsider who's critical of wall street. Trump was also authentically himself unlike Hillary and no doubt kanye resonates with that. So if Kanye had said he voted for Hillary I would've been disappointed in him. I don't think Kanye is following the recent developments as closely as you are and if he was he'd probably agree with you that it looks like more of the same. The point is, Kanye telling us he would've voted trump is just like the Kanye who snatched the mic from Tswift... He's still apologetically himself and that's why I still fuck with him. Great vid, but I think you mised that important point
Thank you. I feel you. That's my problem with his statement. He stood up there for 9 plus minutes just talking without knowing what he's talking about. His rants used to be about dope stuff. Now they're about Blu not playing with North and wishing he would've voted for someone he knows nothing about. It's dangerously close to leading people astray, which is something I never felt he did. That's why I showed so many previous outbursts as an example. Thanks for the comment.
***** Word. thx for the response. It helps put the video in better context. I agree with you on that, but ultimately I think anyone who looks to celebrities to guide them and their views on the world is already a lost cause.Gotta seek knowledge, pecially in this age of information
Haha shit bro never even thought of that. You should check out joe rogan's latest podcast with scott adams. The first 20 mins he does a great job breaking down trump's strategy and the psychology behind it
I didn't enjoy this one as much; expected the story to be more related to Kanye's image and lyrical content, but I get the whole trump piece. Sneaked in some politics ;). But ALL of the rest of your videos have been the schnitzel. Keep it going!
Life is about learning. People aren't always who they were 8 years earlier. Pence is who he is right now. Hillary *may* be lying about who she is, that much is true, but she wouldn't and couldn't do anything against gay marriage in 2017.
I miss the old kanye
The "bush doesn't care about black people" kanye
NACHO MARAÑÓN HERAS 😂😂😂😭
NACHO MARAÑÓN HERAS Now this clown talking about supporting Trump
Considering the treatment we get throughout the world, it's safe to say that nobody cares about Black people....the feeling is mutual though lol.
Both Trump and Kanye were against George Bush
fun fact: Obama didn't care about black people either. Black men are only allowed to speak truth to power when it's sponsored by democrats.
I miss the old Kanye, straight from the 'Go Kanye
Chop up the soul Kanye, set on his goals Kanye
I hate the new Kanye, the bad mood Kanye
The always rude Kanye, spaz in the news Kanye

College Dropout is the consensus favorite album but Late Registration was everything his debut was but bigger, better and more theatrical. MBDTF is his untouchable masterpiece and the Graduation - 808s era helped change rap and pop music in the modern era.
Darrel Be accurate breakdown... Especially the 808's...I've been trying to tell ppl for years that kanye pioneered the modern sound in hip hop...
yeezus is my favorite album from him
People definitely do not give enough respect to late reg but honestly i think mbdtf was overrated. the album was super fucking good don't get me wrong but idk to me at least it wasn't as good as some of his other shit
MBDTF was a masterpiece.
Darrel Be CHURCH LATE REGISTRATION SOLIDIFIED KANYE.. AND WHEN 808'S GAVE 50 CENT HIS FIRST PUBLIC "L" KANYE MADE THE GAME "CHOKE ON IT"

Ha! Thanks, PoloBear.
Thank you Don!
This is the first time I admit that it feels right to say "I miss the old Kanye"
nuh Kanye likes Trump because he is a great president
"Balding Donald Trump taking dollars from y'all" - Kanye West on So Appalled.
thats the old kanye
Samuel Gonzalez That's really old Kanye. This new Kanye has different problems now.
Dr0pkidd 2010 Kanye is not a humble Kanye lmao. He was a super star back then too, he's been a superstar since 07. Ye wants attention.
Kanye just playing his Kanye role pretty sure he laughs at the tv Kanye in his Kanye crib with his Kanye bit and his Kanye kid like that Kanye is Kanye and reads a book learning stuff to be more Kanye like I can make that into a new Kanye
Its wordplay

All that aside, I kinda miss the old meek... before the trigger finger tragedy.
lolololol he killed meek wit dat. meek takes atleast an L a day
nuh Kanye likes Trump because he is a great president
Liked the video, but disliked how political it got. It seemed like it became a political video versus Kanye video.

Yeezus is the worst kanye album period. man that is garbage. my dark twisted beautiful nightmare is art its best though. but i am a fan of relapse so i guess everyone is into weird albums of an artist's catalogue that most people hate

Hillary Clinton is the meek mill of politics 😂😂😂
Anxiety AZ Official always taking L's 😭😭😭😂
Anxiety AZ Official both have two Ls in their name
Can´t spell the name without Back to Back Ls. :D :D
Dessert GMS Hillary Clinton has three....
what does that mean
Types of people who hated on the Yeezus album
1. Kanye fans who couldn't handle him doing something different.
2. Death Grips/Industrial music elitists who are butt-hurt that a "mainstream" artist like Kanye was able to take the underground gritty industrial sound put accessible twist on it and get a tone of critical acclaim
3. Dudes that just parrot whatever Theneedledrops opinions are.
hahaha
how about the people who didn't like the music? (not me btw)
This Dick Aint Free I don't like yeezus that much because I don't like industrial music lol
TheRandomBiscuit Yeah I understand that I was just making a broad observation, like many do when shooting the shit about music.
El Gato Nazi Fair enough just making a point.
When I say I miss the old kanye , I don't mean college dropout kanye. I mean the kanye that put out god level music that no one else could replicate. Whether it was graduation or MBDTF, this man was a genius when it came to sonically putting together music , now he just tries hard to ride waves and had his antics carry most of the weight of his career
thedondon911911 the life of Pablo is still a classic
Famgelion but it's very flawed
I don't think anyone is going to replicate TLOP,. I also think it's on the level of graduation and MBDTF. Also what to do you mean tried hard to ride waves?
David Hager this comment alone shows how young and stupid you are , stop talking
thedondon911911 how? if you're not even gonna reply anything relevant to the first guy who disagrees with you and just say it shows I'm young, that just helps me show you're full of sheit
The fucking Meek Mill bashing out of nowhere.
That's the kind of shit I subscribe for.
psyckojoe 😂😂
psyckojoe lmao
psyckojoe 😂😂😂 you killed me
psyckojoe where's it at lol I'm on break so I can't watch it rn. I'll probably watch it in full later
Dude just earned himself a T-Shirt, huh, next video I guess.
hes a self promoter that has crossed over to an attention junky, each outburst has made his empire bigger. he was click bait before there was clickbait
We'll give one out this week, too.
hahahaha... love that.
I still fuck with Kanye because of that interview about homophobia in hip-hop. Yes, it's difficult to defend him sometimes but at least one thing is still consistent. He's never afraid to speak his mind no matter how unpopular the opinion. I respect that.
And he consistently puts out good music.
Pablo was a major let down.
+Ryan Kelly too bad his last 3 albums were trash
@apersonorsomething his last 3 Albums?! Yo, that's The Life Of Pablo, Yeezus, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I can understand Yeezus (most people don't like it but I love it), but TLOP and especially MBDTF are instant classics!
Me too.
This is what happens when go against the grain of social beliefs and construct. Everybody will think you're crazy.
Cashmere Thoughts real life... 💯
Cashmere Thoughts no. He's delusional. And nobody thinks Bernie sanders is crazy, because he's actually doing things that change society and he's trying to change the government.
There is nothing you can take from kanye
He's mumbling incoherent and factually incorrect shit, and people eat it up like he's being profound.
Truth is, he's out of his fucking mind and is having mental health complications, I love kanye but he needs to get some help, and he needs to stop having Yes-men around him, his new music is awful, and his ego is growing larger because of hypebeasts around him.
Cashmere Thoughts kanye says he's influential and you guys nod because he's charming and you like him.
That's the truth. He's out of his fucking mind.
I dunno, what about kanye as president and bernie as DNC head?
DeadpoolX9 kanye doesn't know jack shit about politics, he doesn't know anything about checks and balances and corporate interests and just assumes Obama is a good guy that wants to make good decisions all the time and that they shut him down just because obama's black.
Kanye is the prime example of what a pseudo intellectual is.
People talk about Kanye being polarizing. I can just imagine how demonized a guy like Tupac would be in this overly sensitive, social media generation lol
Word.
Darrel Be look how well Kendrick is doing..
You gotta really understand Kanye to realize why he said he likes Trump. Kanye doesn't even think about all the stuff most people trash Trump for when he said he likes him. The reason he said that is cause there are a lot of similarities between them and Kanye sees that. ---v
First they both go off on Twitter rants with no filter and call people out on Twitter.
5th - they're both narcissistic megalomaniacs
TEFFT PATTERN U go tefft, do ur thang
You could take the comparison further to include that despite arguably being douchebags, they are both incredibly skilled and successful in their respective fields.
They have dragon energy
nuh Kanye likes Trump because he is a great president LOL
"I just told you who I thought I was A GOD!" 😂😂
Super classic.
There is no such thing as "the old kanye" he's the same person with a different platform
Flagrant were you get those awesome sunglasses
Flagrant are you taking a picture with a PSP? lol
no swag no swag
kanye changed after his mother died.
BenjerminGaye and when he got married to Kim kardashian or how ever you spell her damn name.
oh riff raff, I'll never know why hip hop keeps you around
Kaan Ra we dont
More like, why he keeps hanging around and latching on to hip hop. It's not even hip hop it's a caricature of the culture. The wigga is early-90s vanilla ice x1000000
he basically a minstrel show idk why they dont kick him out
lolololololol. I love it
He's a hip-hop jester. We need that to remind the "Kings" of hip-hop grounded. If not theirs than in ours
I even had the pink polo I thought I was Kanye.
Old Yeezy >>>>>> Current Yeezy
PHXRXOH LAPACUS MBDTF>>>>>>>Graduation, 808s and LR.
Hussein Are you smoking crack my nigga!? Heeellllll no! Graduation > 808's & Heartbreak >>>> MBDTF
PHXRXOH LAPACUS L I like College DropOut but that album isn't better than 808s, graduation, MDBTF
Ohhthatsmalik College Dropout is way better than MBDTF if you ask me. Yeezus is dead last
Graduation is his best album.
I dont fuck with every song on Yeezus and there were definately some questionable lines but I have no idea how anybody can listen songs like Black Skinheads, New slaves, Hold my liquor and especially Blood on the leaves and honestly tell me Yeezus as a whole was wack.
HOW SWAY?????
ha!!
Guilt Trip is dope too
I liked Black Skinheads, New Slaves, and Bound 2. The rest album was absolute garbage bro. I don't have to like what you like.
When did I say you have to like what I like?
learning2understand Quote: " but I have no idea how anybody can listen songs like Black Skinheads, New slaves, Hold my liquor and especially Blood on the leaves and honestly tell me Yeezus as a whole was wack. "
To me, it all about music and because of that I love Kanye. Old or New. His music has always been amazing for the most part. IMO, his music has been awesome. So fuck with Kanye.
TLOP hasn't stuck with me the way previous projects did. WTT excluded.
Really? I like it more than I liked 808s and Yeezus (which I agree is a great album). I thought TLOP was exactly what it was meant to be: a bunch of beautiful songs (per his GQ interview in 2014 I think).
HipHopDX It's messy and inconsistent. I can only take about three songs away from it.
Kanye is like a lot of black intelligent males in this country and actually thinks for himself, not what someone tells him to think.
I think it's safe to say that you are a white guy.
He even dissed Jay Z and Beyonce in a new rant during a concert in Sacremento. Didn't perform that much and left, with the audience leaving in disgust. maaaaaan kanye going thru a Britney Spears type of breakdown right now. #PrayForKanye
Open your eyes HipHopDX. This entire video was proving that Kanye has always been bold and opinionated.
HHDX is just a bandwagon.
Either way though, I'm not happy that either of those people were our nominees and I'm not happy that Trump is the soon-to-be president.
kanye west old mss play word dope late registration album college dropout favorite album classic black culture for culture
do not listen to the liars VOTE TRUMP 2020
may I ask you a question.
Thank you someone who gets it
Kanye is Hero
Craig Pointon haters are zero
I think Kanye is a man with some good ideas and views who has gone crazy and disconnected a bit from reality. It's at a point where people as close to him as Hov don't really fuck with him any more.
But btw, in my opinion he still hasn't made a single bad album. Even 808s, Yeezus and TLOP are fucking epic.
I just want my man cave wall to look like the Hip hop Dx wall

What he said in those concerts were truth, everyone's just been misinformed with the radio and news like he said
truth
Connor Clarke aint, nobody going to care when u paid $ to hear him Rap but rants for 20mins then leaves after 3 songs.
+curly sue aint nobody real kanye fans anymore anyways bro, just a buncha fuckbois and their girlfriends
What? What I said was they were fuckbois. You go to a Yeezy concert and tell me it isn't filled with them lmao! Stop with the PC
Kanye stuck up for the black ppl when he said bush dont care about black ppl.
Thank you, Kit.
kanye west old Chicago soul mss music rap league game rap kanye new support trump bad white people hlep black people no hlep
you despise Trump for what please do tell
You deliver all your lines with such smoothness it is so easy to watch your videos brah
Kanye speaks some real shit in that "I'm a God" interview, gives me chills everytime I watch. His racial argumentation sound kinda corny and manipulative sometimes but he hit the nail on its head that time.
he turned ppl off by calling himself God though.
Aphro him referring to himself as a God is something he talks about in that interview, don't be a mark.
Same here. Ye's interviews are hotter.
I got railed for my review. History's on my side though. hiphopdx.com/reviews/id.2095/title.kanye-west-yeezus
CSR At first listen I didn't really like Yeezus. It took maybe 4 listens but after that it became one of my favorite Kanye albums after MBDTF. For me personally his worst album is 808's and Heartbreak. Though the first half of that album is dope as hell
1. college dropout 10. latel registration 4. 100 graduation mbdf yeezus trash 880s terrible album
BRO!!! This was a really good video you should be proud!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
thanks!
***** for real brother , all these black folks thinking trump ain't bad at all. Steven Bannon? !!!!! WOW. Bless you and keep up the good work
"I don't have the answer to these questions." Love the way you end these videos fam. Much love 👌
Love the instrumental in the background of all the videos
Sounds like a 9th Wonder's beat. Love this dude.
9th blessed us with it
Kanye is thinking on another level you just have to listen to him cause he gives a lot of examples to explain himself. He not saying he a god its a example to show how everyone mindset is being controlled to make you believe that you have a limit to your abilities. listen to the whole interview and don't let them tell you what to think
That's my favorite Ye interview. Thank you for the comment.
Kanye tryna get that $53 Million debt forgiven
aaron williams , Kim Kardashian paid that off, my friend.
This the third video of yours I’ve seen and you always put game in your videos, aside from the thumbnails’ topic. Subscribed, peace god.
With all the stuff happening now I’m gonna need a part 2 to this
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel
Kanye had a run of spectacular albums in the 00s that is only comparable to Stevie Wonder in the 70s. Legendary musician whether people like him or not
I appreciate this. New album dropping next year. Get ready
Take the money away from Kanye and when he has to make it again, the old Kanye will return
want he 32 million in debt. doesn't seem like that made him go back to the old kanye :(
thefattyfatty1 he said 52
I’ve watched videos here and there and I’ve been watching many of your videos within the past few days. I love this channel. Prefect delivery to provoke thought, whether I agree or not. You have a fan here.
when shit hits the fan are you still a fan?
Damn, I thought this video would be more of the "media machine" fueled by outrage and headlines, but I was pleasantly surprised to find an insightful and well-informed view of the matter from someone who knows more about Kanye than just a synopsis slapped on their desk before a news segment.
Keep it up!
Yeezus is a great fucking album
Man you are such a wise likeable dude I could listen to you talk all day man. Subscribed. Need more people with real wisdom out there.
Thank you Pigey!
i fucks with Kanye for his music not cause of his political opinions.
Hypothetical Heineken with W.

I like 1. College Dropout 2. Late Registration 3. Dark Twisted Fantasy
You just seem like you'd be a chill ass friend haha
I missed the old Kanye because, old Kanye used to do rap! If I wanted pop music, I wouldn't have permanently turned off my radio 14 years ago!
Another solid breakdown!
Thanks, TJ!
Kanye Pre 808's and Heartbreaks was top tier.
yeezus is so underrated
I guess haters are not on Kanye's level and don't understand what he's going through people need to leave him alone the entertainment business ain't easy these days.
He likes Trump because of his genius campaign plan and how he won against all odds. Also, who cares about his political views? As long as he continues to make great music we shouldn't let his opinion on the prrsident get in the way.
EXACTLY!!!! This country is so judging if u say that u voted for Trump u get labeled as Homophobic, Racist,Mysognistic etc.
Agreed. Even though that's what Trump promoted along with his economic message.
I wish people would get this upset about rappers who rap about self destruction and promotes delinquencies.
Fuck War Smoke Weed Self destruction. Like smoking weed instead of going to war?
Peter Hernandez Bruh his username
Ethan Cubbage Yes, smoking instead of war. What's wrong with that? Are you against herbs and peace?
Fuck War Smoke Weed I'm against the juvenile belief that war can be avoided
Ethan Cubbage ok. good for you. do you want an award or something?
This is the best list of Kanye's best albums in order:
1. The College Dropout
2. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
3. Graduation
4. Late Registration
5. The Life of Pablo
6. Yeezus
7. 808s Heartbreak
*#3 & #4 are really close*
Pause. Yeezus is not a classic, it's not even a good album.
Justin you entitled to your own opinion but I think the Top 3 Kanye Albums are
1. Late Registration
2. College Dropout
3. 808'S and Heartbreaks with
Yeezus 4th but I see how it can be top 3 like usual great video keep it up you are going places
Thanks, Jacob. Yeezus and 808s have a lot of similarities to me. Both are way outside the rest of his catalog.
I loved Yeezus but top 3 come on Justin you just Kanye'd yourself
Yeezus, like Yeezy, is jarring, uncomfortable, uncompromising and courageous-all the things that initially made Hip Hop great.
*****
True, which is why I like the album but also why I dont consider it hip hop. Yeezus ends up feeling more like an experimental rock album than a hip hop album to me. Its more caught up in 'perceived deepness' than the samples and cadence that made Kanye, Kanye. Yeezus was the first entry of the New Kanye.
Run DMC and Beastie Boys albums were heavy rock influenced.
*****
touche.
These are some of the most hip hop lyrics in history:
So go and grab the reporters
So I can smash their recorders
See they'll confuse us with some bullshit like the New World Order
Meanwhile the DEA
Teamed up with the CCA
They tryna lock niggas up
They tryna make new slaves
See that's that private owned prison
Get your piece today
They Probably all in the Hamptons
Braggin' 'bout their maid
Fuck you and your Hampton house
I'll fuck your Hampton spouse
Came on her Hampton blouse
And in her Hampton mouth
Y'all 'bout to turn shit up
I'm 'bout to tear shit down
I'm 'bout to air shit out
Now what the fuck they gon' say now?
fave kanye albums:
1) mbdtf
2) 808s
3) tcd
4) yeezus/graduation
5) tlop
6) lr
what are yours?
once again another great video, time for me to go ahead and subscribe
jammin yammin yup. this really is a good channel for in-depth Hip-hop conversation.
Thank you, Jammin!
Thank you, Reese!
Man i really like this show and the knowledge you have on every subject Great Job
Agreed! That's the irony. Trump is a celebrity who's now in the white house.
Haha shit bro never even thought of that. You should check out joe rogan's latest podcast with scott adams. The first 20 mins he does a great job breaking down trump's strategy and the psychology behind it
Oh that's dope. Do you have a link?
I'm surprised at how well informed you are. 👏👏

Dawg i fuck with you so heavily, always keepin it real.
Thank you, Rith!
how did you get those album covers
Ok... That made me go hmmm about whatever I think is wrong with hiphop. It might be not that broken. Vey good analysis brother. Let's stay deep.
I didn't enjoy this one as much; expected the story to be more related to Kanye's image and lyrical content, but I get the whole trump piece. Sneaked in some politics ;). But ALL of the rest of your videos have been the schnitzel. Keep it going!
Thank you!
It's so great to have found an intellectually based hip hop channel.
Pence was against gay marriage but so was was Clinton in 2008... heard the Hypocrisy
Life is about learning. People aren't always who they were 8 years earlier. Pence is who he is right now. Hillary *may* be lying about who she is, that much is true, but she wouldn't and couldn't do anything against gay marriage in 2017.
People's views change. If you have the same views and perspectives, either you're not thinking much, or your life isn't advancing.
'I miss him when he use to think for himself and speak his mind, but now that he thinks for himself and speaks his mind, I can't like him anymore.'
That's some Lupe Fiasco super juxtaposition stuff right there. That's dope.
