I am 72 years old now. In 1966 I was 14 and Scott Walker and this song were my obsession which I played over and over on my portable record player (Christmas present); he seemed to me to personify beauty (like Jim Morrison). Now, I am listening and I am struck by how the words are poetry. Maybe I wasn't so stupid after all.
I've being singing this song to myself all my life and my ship hasn't arrived yet, I still believe it's on its way. Great song sung by the best. RIP Scott
Here’s a thought. Make some goals Make a reasonable time to achieve them. Make them for the good of all including yourself. Tell no one of your goals. What holds many people back in life are alcohol marijuana tobacco etc. and foolish spending
Scott was a beautiful man with a gorgeous voice. Not many would look this remarkably good in close ups. For a guy who once said he was terrified of singing, I think he looks pretty cool. RIP dear Scott, you may be gone, but you will not be forgotten.❤
I never appreciated these guys much in the 60s when I listened but now that I am in the 60s I really do now. What a voice he has. Thank God for TH-cam to keep this music alive still.
My God.When Scott sings, dry your eyes! I never get tired of hearing this song.So blessed that my parents had me in the 60s and surrounded me with tunes of this quality.
Im sat in the car listening to Walker Brothers songs on youtube and each one is making my eyes wet. 58 yr old man that hasnt had that happen by so many songs by one singer/group. Such talent and emotion sorely missed RIP Scott
He was my mom's favourite singer. She always said he had a lovely face and voice. She passed away 5 months ago. R.i.p mom. R.i.p Scott Walker. I love this song so much it brings tears to my eyes when i hear it.
The measure of a great singer is being able to deliver such an emotional vocal without any strain or stress and with great diction. Very few are capable of this quality but Scott Walker was one of them. We have lost another great. RIP Scott you left us with some truely beautiful, timeless recordings. Thankyou
John Walker was every bit as good...just kept in Scott's shadow tool long. He was greatas he got older. Never lost his great voice . John took care of it and still singing until he passed. Love both of them.
I always wondered how Scott (Engle) Walker & Bobby Hatfield (Righteous Brothers) would have been as a duet? But we'll just have too listen to two of the greatest voices of their time & enjoy them separately. Now that won't be too hard I reckon!
Steve Marriott for one, Steve Ellis of Love Affair for another. Don't get me wrong, Walker had a unique haunting voice, but it could be melancholic to the point of dreariness.
I would consider this group in having such an underrated, hauntingly, loving sound- imo- in the top 10 of talented rock groups. I was there once and will miss Scott forever. RIP Scott.
Its so sad because like Artistes who become infamous, Scott Walker had so many unrecorded material that we wont ever hear, David Sylvian, Bowie, Frank Zappa, the genres may be different but its a different story if Britains most ovet rated band The John and Paul show, forgetting the most talented of all of them, George Harrison, but Scott walker, thankfully didn't end up in the 27 club, id of been gutted years later if Jim Morrison hadnt left many of his writings, that was a set up, you dont go to Paris to rewind now, never mind all thise years ago
I saw them Wellington, NZ 1967. I was on my first date. The best ever, and its good in this age i can just search and play and listen to them. Sorry to hear Scott passef away. Blessings mate.
The world has lost its charm ... So I discovered that I spent my 62 years enchanted by the music of Scott and now he is no longer here. I can not hear your songs without weeping copiously. RIP beloved Scott
The perfect Voice ,no talent shows ,singing competitions..to win..he had a natural talent the deep voice pitch perfect ,you were one of a kind Scott ,you left us a legacy to remember..R,I P..
Yeah! It tends to be forgotten a bit, sandwiched as it was between Make It Easy On Yourself and The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Any More. But this outranked them both as far as I was (and am) concerned.
I loved the Walkers in the 60s but we didn't have access to stuff like this! Falling in love again. RIP Scott. Because of videos like this, we can still enjoy.
I always loved to listen to the Walker Brothers. This is the first time since Scott's death that I was able to listen to there music. Miss him. May He Rest in God's Eternal Peace.
Thank you for this. It's unusual to see a video with Walker Brothers songs, usually it's just still photos. How beautiful Scott was, and his voice - no words.
First heard them, probably early 1967, in my girlfriend's parent's kitchen. She was a big Beatles fan, but put on her Walker Brothers album. My favorite was "Love Her". Incredible sound.
Who's listening to this jewel right now in 2024 great your like me got great taste in scott walker soulful epic voice ENJOY thanks for the ace upload 💯👍🎵🎶✊
Ann Lal: Imagine having an interview as a bass player and being asked if you can sing and you say you don’t see yourself as a singer but can do backing vocals like most musicians. You get the job. Then Make it Easy on Yourself gets shown to the band but the writers ( the best in the world) want a deeper voice than Johns and they start looking. They. Ask Scott to audition and yhe rest is history. Scott still sees himself as a bassist and not a vocalist. Imagine being John and hearing Scott’s voice and knowing that you are amongst such greatness that you will never be lead singer again.
Scott Walker had a beautiful voice but a big shout out to John too for his lovely harmonies. R.I.P Scott and John, thank you for the beautiful, timeless music ❤ xx
Great song sang by the Brothers. It was my sister's first record, and I played it a lot as well, when she was out, ooops.will always play it,now she's gone.❤❤❤❤
Scott Walker you were my all time favourite singer in the 60s a beautiful voice and looks to go with it it was my Era how things have changed best best times in my life RIP Scott my Hero x
One of the finest voices from the sixties. I was a child then but aware of him on the radio and television...unmistakable and totally marvellous. He turned his back on the mainstream , went off to be unique and for that reason has my complete admiration. RIP Scott
Scott Walker was my mom's favourite. Yes he was nice looking I know. My mom passed him once on the streets here in England, many years ago ,he was on a bike. She recognised him and called his name.He looked and smiled. I love this song by the way.
Tenho 32 anos e só descobri esse grandioso cantor chamado Scott Walker no início desse ano de 2023 e fiquei absurdamente viciado em sua arte.. uma pena ele ter falecido.
He had such a haunting voice and watching videos back such stage presence. I remember walking to school and hearing The sun ain't gonna shine on a pocket radio for first time. Thinking wow unbelievable sound r.i.p scottx
This beautiful man could sing a nursery rhyme and make it sound like this. He had the perfect voice for the Phil Spector Wall of Sound. I recall them arriving in the UK and from then was forever hooked. Even when Scott took his own path and the songs were different I bought some of his CDs. But we can listen to this incredible voice on "No Regrets the best of Scott Walker and the Walker Bros 1965-1976" CD. I've been playing mine alot the past few days. Also Alexa can help. His voice will always be with us. Wish he had stayed awhile longer but No Regrets.
R.I.P. Scott Walker Icon, Marc Almond got me listening to your music and so pleased he sighted use as a major influence. Immensely talented and a voice so good. Thanks for the music and style.

One of the greatest voices of the sixties, and to me this was there best song, absolutely love it . RIP Scott and John.
Not just the 60s but he's up there with the best . He could sing the telephone directory and make it sound good
