    Well. I screwed something up bc I ended up w 42 stitches instead of 40, but at my age I just made adjustments on the next round to do it as tho I had 40. Lol. I’m too old to keep ripping out stitches on my learning blocks. lol. I use lesser quality yarn too on my learning blocks so idc. My Service dog ends up w some wild sweaters from my learning blocks. lol. She’s just happy to stay warm in the winter so it works out in the end. lol. Thx for the videos. I’ve done the sun, moon, and stars now so Sophie can get another wee sweater since she’s a wee dog. lol. I made adjustments to my blocks so that they would all finish off about 6” square when done. I used #4 medium weight yarns. My advice to anyone that wants to do the three sun, moon, & stars blocks is to do each as instructed for ur learning blocks then you can decide what size you want ur finished blocks and adjust ur borders to that size using slip stitches, single crochet, half double, double crochet or treble crochet, depending on the height you need to make up to get to ur desired size. For instance- I did the sun block first, but it was already 6” before the last border so I just didn’t do the last round. Then I did the moon block. I stopped it at 6”. Then I just did the star block and stopped it after I added the treble corners to block it. Then I just added a single crochet border to match the sizes of my other two blocks. It will likely curl a bit at the corners, but that will flatten out when you attach it to whatever ur making like a blanket or sweater. Thank you for the videos bc I am having a good time making the blocks.

    Oh dear, this one destroyed my confidence at first 😂 I'm a beginner, I've had a couple of simple projects before. Now I'm making a sun/moon/star blanket with your amazing tutorials.💖 I started off with the moon and quickly grasped it but this one, oh dear, this one was a challenge, especially working only on the back loops. Probably because of my inexperience and because my yarn is slightly different. I ended up modifying the pattern to my liking. I use both loops while making the star (round 2, makes it more sturdy) and I skip a different stitch when filling in around the star (round 3, easier, also makes it look more sturdy and even to me, the stitch I skip is hidden this way) Now I love the result and I don't struggle as much, the stitch count doesn't change either.
    But now I'm scared of the Sun one 😂
    Love the channel, love the tutorials. I've already set my eyes on some other projects on your list. Great work 🥰

      haha but glad you managed to find your own way and adjust the pattern to make it work! That's definitely one step ahead of being a beginner! 🙌😎
      I'm also afraid to say that Sun square might be even a little trickier, but I'm sure you will manage and hopefully I'm not going too fast in the video 😅
      Thank you so much for the kind words! ❤️🥰

    What if we don’t want to change colors from where do we start? I don’t want to cut off the yarn and re-stitch it

    • @KristinesDay
      @KristinesDay  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since starting from different points, you would still have to cut it off, unless you count on which stitch you would have to start if you continue with the same color without cutting off the yarn :)

    This is the worst tutorial i have ever watched. Inam not that much of a begginer but I still failed cuz this is all bullshit , it is really hard to follow what you are doing and the place that really bothered me was when I had to place the stich markers. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate this tuttorial.

      tip for the stitch markers - you can use different coloured yarn instead of stitch markers. but other than that, if you don't like it, look at a different tutorial.
