if you're looking for THE tutorial to make this granny square this is THE one. If you're a beginner like am yes you will struggle at first but Kristine is such a good teacher that everything will come together smoothly in the end! Thank you so much for the effort you're putting in your tutorials youre doing God's work for us to have cute handmade things ❤
i hope you understand how amazing you are. i am not a beginner at crocheting AT ALL but every heart pattern i found was extremely difficult!!! it never failed to make me mad!!! but this one was so easy and i actually enjoyed crocheting this!!! you are amazing, this made me not hate cute granny square patterns 🤣🤣🤣
this tutorial IS the most helpful one for heart granny square I’ve seen so far!!! Kudos to you! I got it from the first attempt! After other tutorials my heart looked kinda crooked, but this one turned out just right!! I’m just gonna decrease the hook size for the next time to get a more “synched” look of my heart Thanks a lot!!!
I’m a semi beginner crochet”er” I’ve honestly only made hats so far since last April and stayed comfortable doing that until I was able to master it , n now I’m expanding my crochet techniques this was super helpful and can’t wait till I try this love this video. Thank you. 🤍❤️
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE, I HAD FINALLY MADE A HEART THAT LOOKS LIKE A HEART!! THANK YOU SO MUCH MISS KRISTINE FOR THIS TUTORIAL, I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS! I LOVE YOU!!!

This was sooo helpful cuz I want to make a messenger bag with two of these on either side and I couldn’t find any tutorials that were simple enough for me to understand tysm!!!
Love this! For the last row I start with a chain of 3 instead of 2 and then DC as usual in the next stitch and not in the same. In the end I slip stitch in my chain 3. This way it gives me 15 dc on every side instead of 16 dc on one side and 15 on the rest 🥰

It could be a tension issue. If you crochet it too loose or tight. Also might want to look into blocking to make sure they are all the same size. Just ideas though.
My first Granny square! I’m trying to make a heart tote bag so this is perfect! Thank you!! Edit: I can’t find a good tutorial for a plain granny square that’s the same size and has to holes 😫 do you think you could make a tutorial for them!?

It’s because by adding multiple stitches into one creates the base stitch looser and establishes a “circle”. However, you should only consider the original first circle as the main one.

Hello I just wanted to come here and say: This tutorial is THE BEST
I would lie if I said I am a beginner bc I just started crocheting TODAY and I could follow this tutorial very easily and I wasn’t working with the easiest yarn (very fluffy yarn)
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🫶🏻
I just finished my first square and will continue doing heart shaped granny squares while following your tutorial. I want to make enough squares (probably like 50-100 over the year) to make a blanket out of it.
My current square turned out to be about 20x20cm, I used fluffy yarn (the one you use for stuffed animals) and a 8mm hook if anyone wants to do a blanket as well out of these super cute and easy granny squares
Again thank you for the tutorial it’s so gooood 🫶🏻

And that’s so incredible that you were able to recreate it on your first day of crocheting! And heart blanket sounds like such a great idea 😍excited for you!! 🫶
Thank you for the video! How do you keep the perfect tension throughout the project? I feel like every crochet I make I have to adjust my grip on the working yarn
❤️
I try to hold the yarn between my fingers on the left hand, so it doesn't get too lose and is easy to grab. I think that's part of the "signature" way of how you crochet, for every person it will look different, same as with handwriting. 😊
I love this. How do you save it, or do you do a search each time for instructions?
Thank you! 🥰 I have a written pattern available on my Etsy: kristinesdaycrafts.etsy.com/listing/1544385736

Please after you're done with the boxes..how do you sew in their ends? Thank you.
I just used my crochet hook and weaved them in in the back, so ends are not visible from the front 😊
This tutorial at first was nice and enjoyable until it came to crochetting the second half of the heart. The end of my project ended up looking like a blob of yarn with no shape whatsoever. I'm not sure if i did something wrong or this just hasn't worked out for me idk. :(((

i have an issue w heart shapes i don’t understand it doesn’t look like yours 😭😭😭😭
In which part exactly does it become different compared to mine?
mine curls a little, is that because of the shape of the heart? xx do you think blocking would fix it? xx
Yes, blocking should help :) If not, try removing a stitch from each side of the corner.
I am confused on what a chain 3 is
Edit: ohhhh I get it now
Glad to hear you found a solution! 🙌
Super easy and actually cleared up some issues I was having before seeing your video! Thank you :))

How much yarn did it take to do the whole bag ?
6:22 The question is how did there become two circles?🤔
It’s because by adding multiple stitches into one creates the base stitch looser and establishes a “circle”. However, you should only consider the original first circle as the main one.
