Back before the wolves invaded Minnesota, the bad Winters were no problem, wolves Hunt 365 days a year, the deer don't have a chance, and now we have Wild hogs invading, which will destroy more white tail habitat 🧐

So kill the wild hogs? The wolves aren’t invasive, the hogs are

Same thing in northern Michigan. How much does the Wolves bring in annually to the economy. Basically zero. Now how much does the deer season with license to the state and bait to the local economy . Michigan DNR has to figure it out

What severe winters? Everyone is complaining about cliamate change increasing the temperatures. In Vermont, we had heavy rain flooding in December. The anual maple sap production is down due to warmer periods affecting the trees. In Colorado, we saw deer populations drop upon protections of mountain lions. Now they introduced wolves. Lions and wolves need to eat. How many deer does it take to feed a single wolf for one year? And ultimately the wolves are going to tap into the ranching operations and take cattle and other livestock.

Well just so you know, wolves have already been determined to account for 80 percent of moose losses in Voyager of Minnesota, so Deer are next, and then they cannibalize, isl Royal is down to 3 wolves left.

Further more, she says let’s not have a knee jerk reaction….. does she not have a clue or does she simply not care that we have been fighting this battle for decades? You can’t manage all other wildlife and let wolves go unchecked.

She states we had a bad winter. For who? Was it a bad winter for the wolves? It seems last winter was ideal for the wolves, a very good winter for them.

Wolf lady and her cohorts actually stated that when wolf populations increase that it's good for the deer population. While totally disregarding the sharp decline in the hunter deer harvesting in the various counties and deer management areas. Sure, only the harsh winters bring down the deer population and wolves have nothing to do with the decline. Maybe if license sales plummet and she loses her job due to the revenue decline then she'll wake up, but I have my doubts.

Alot of good these meetings will do. You are dealing with city minded people. You all know that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

If the DNR seriously think theres the wolves to blame all the less deer amounts for , believe me THE DNR WILL TAKE CARE OF THE WOLF POPULATION.

@@donnalarson1660 When it comes to wolves, the world is better off without them. They are killing machines and nothing more. Listen to people that are forced to put up with them on a daily basis. As far as controlling populations of other wild life.....agaiin, hunters can control them IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO (dnr). Wolves are not needed for that either. The dnr itself is ONLY interested in getting money from the people (licenses and fines). They have no way off knowing the actual numbers of a certain species. It is all just estimates and that is what they go by. The deer herd in Mn. is a prime example.

Animal populations need to be managed just like our forests it keeps the herds and forest healthy.

I want to know exactly how many human hunters there are compared to wolves, and how many deer are killed by vehicle or other human based things like fence entanglement. Some actual numbers, to see exactly whats at play out in the fields and woods. I'd dare say that from 2019 - present, more humans were out there hunting than ever before, also are we able to keep track of poached deer? 40 years experience living on this planet has shown me that behind every "issue" is a human caused problem, that rarely gets better by adding more human intervention and management...or if the issue is "fixed" its shortsighted and highly pro-human for some kind of made up goal or agenda that the shallow masses will toast each other over while some other species teeters on extinction, eradication, and continued habitat destruction. Life on this planet has made me very skeptical of the humans when it comes to the "blame game" being imposed on anything other than ourselves.

Not exact, but this year about 150,000 hunters in zone 1 (the NE part of the state) have killed about 32,000 deer (per the DNR.) It is estimated in the same area that 3,000 wolves kill about 50,000 deer a year. The hunters are regulated to mostly only killing bucks to leave the does to build the herd, the wolves do not follow such regulations. Hunter numbers are steadily declining over the past decade.
We could manage the wolves, or we can allow them to boom and bust cycle naturally. One is more humane.

      * That's your problem, you need more experience. Behind every problem you'll find the cause originated from the sin nature of mankind. Every decision that has ever been made, good or bad, was made by a human. Who else do you think has the capabilities to make any type of decision that could effect the way life is managed? In this case, it all boils down to what's the best approach to take in order to provide a suitable, sustainable population for all species involved. Picking winners vs. losers is not the correct or fair method for managing anything. Anyone wanting to let nature take its course will bring more hardship and suffering upon nature than if mankind was to properly manage those resources.
