I just realised that Stan really examining their car in the first episode happened in a garage with Phil letting him leave while holding a gun then Of course we have the final examination in a garage with Stan letting Phil leave, holding a gun.

Amazing how much work goes into making a show. My favorite of all time.
Six seasons is just perfect. Almost everything about it was perfect. Thank you FX and the Americans cast and crew for bringing this together.

Everyone was wonderful here: the interviewer, the showrunners, and the audience! When does that ever happen?? Thanks for posting!

I was amazed that after watching the whole series how deep texturally the writing was. In season 6 we saw a number of relationships in various stages; Elizabeth-Philip (breaking down), Renee-Stan (starting out), Oleg-his mother (discovery), Kimberley-Philip (care), Elizabeth-Erica (dealing with finality), Glenn-Erica (love, pain & death), Oleg-Sofia (treachery).
    .
Each relationship was explored fully, so much so, the extended silences in the series, well they worked because we know what each character was thinking.
    .
I love Elizabeth's stridency, her unflinching dogmatic resolve. I found it interesting that by the third-fourth series I started to look beyond her obvious beauty and sexuality and focussed on her motivations and her philosophy. The most affecting moment of the whole series was when she met her mother. I'll have to admit I shed a tear or two.

I loved this series THE AMERICANS! I am sorry it is ended. I am still mourning the parents' loss of their children. I felt their profound grief. Most of all, I loved the Tchaikovsky music NONE BUT THE LONELY HEART that was played during the last minutes. Perfect!

Joe/Joel said he thought Paige should go back to church. In my mind Paige meet up with Henry while in various disguises until Henry turn 18 then meet up with Pastor Tim in Argentina and start a food pantry there😜.
