I'm SOBBING watching this. John has been THE main source of inspiration in life. As a musician, and as a bloke who aspires to be as humble and passionate as him. Thank you, Whispering Jack. I cannot wait to listen to that audio book.
Not only is John The Voice, he is a wonderful human being with a fantastic sense of humour. I saw him live in Perth a few years ago, & he was AMAZING! Such a fabulous showman who engages with the audience beautifully between his epic songs. I don’t think he should be pressured to sing again - he has given us his heart & soul already. Thank you, John. 💙🇬🇧🇦🇺🙏 We’ll always love you.
Not only an incredible artist but a wonderfully entertaining story teller as well. What a wonderful human being John truly is. His family & true friends must be so proud of him. I can’t thank him enough for the joy & song goosebumps he’s brought to our otherwise beige lives over the years. Rock on Master Farnham - the ‘Spanish Dancer’ (Cancer) tried its best to end your journey & thankfully failed. You are loved, admired & cherished by so many. You make Australia proud. Keep your spirits up. You’ve got this👍🏼💞😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
If immortality was a reality, no one would deserve it more than our beloved John. ❤❤❤ I have never been someone to get starstruck by well known people but i absolutely adore this man and always will.
@@4WARNG_TRD Beautifully said. John is the only star I adore and am in awe of. What he's been through, and how he has stayed grounded, humble and that beautiful spirit just shines through. I love this man so much 💗🤩

Love you Farnsey 🥰 Recover, be well, and enjoy your beautiful family and friends. You have earned it ❤❤ I have my copy of the book preordered and can't wait to hear your side of the story. Thanks for being the amazing, humble man you are and for sharing your impeccable voice with us 💗💗💗
The best Australian artist of all time , can’t wait for this legend John Farnham to preform again if he is ever feeling up too it , I sure as hell will buy a ticket no matter what.
Love the man, love the music! I remember running to the TV set in the lounge as a very young kid in the 60's. Mum would call out "Johnny's on Jen". I would stand tranfixed, watching you and singing along. You were my first pop star crush. 😊 You owe us nothing John. It's our turn to be there for you. ❤🐨
Stop pressuring him. He’s 75 years old, most musicians have retired from singing at that age. Be happy that he’s healthy again and that you got to enjoy his music and his voice over the decades. Put yourself in his shoes, several operations, unable to open his mouth. I think it’s selfish of the people who want him back on stage. You’re only thinking of yourself.
Just watched this, it’s, 11pm and l can’t buy the book RIGHT NOW. So, up at sparrows fart in the morning.great to hear you John it makes us realise your ok and your still with us and now cancer free, bless you. Farnham thinks people will only focus of him now,not the man who we still ❤, it doesn't matter that his voice and image has changed a little, it is who he is,and he's scared that people and media will take the monkey out of him.❤from Perth, WA.
His story moved me out of my depression 20 or so years ago, which had my life in the balance. I wrote to tell him thanks and received a letter and signed pic saying goodluck. I got the chance to say thanks face to face when he was on my plane many years later. A wonderful book and documentary of not just a singing legend, but a wonderful human.
The concert I went to was The Main Event with John, Anthony Warlow and Olivia Newton John. That was absolutely amazing I will never forget it. I’m looking forward to reading his book. ❤
I’ve seen John perform live a few times… some of the best experiences of my life! This will be an unpopular opinion (no doubt) but I don’t think it is fair to have the pressure to sing/perform live, to be placed on his shoulders. The man is lucky to be alive, and IF he were to perform again, it should be because he is comfortable doing so. John has left us all such a huge volume of work to enjoy over and over… maybe it’s time to let John be and enjoy his family. As much as I love his voice, I would be much happier knowing he is enjoying his well earned “retirement” on his own terms. I am sure the disfigurement from surgery would also be a factor. We can all still love and support John without being desperate to see him performing live. If he were to record a new album because he wants to, that would be amazing, however if it never happens, he has still left us all with music that showcases the incredible talent he has.
The lady with the long blonde hair is Gaynor Wheatley, the wife of Glenn Wheatley, John's manager (R.I.P) a d the other lady is Poppy Stockell who made the documentary about John (Finding the Voice) and co-author of the book.
@@EileenSpeakmandon't worry there is a group of them making comments. They will never measure up to the class act that is John Farnham. John has done more for Australia than these people will ever do combined. He has always had a social conscience as reflected in many of his songs, interviews and charitable endeavours. Just have to listen to his Australian of the year speech. His song "in days to come" had a quote from martin Luther King. People are upset because he didn't allow them to use "you are the voice" when protesting COVID restrictions. Several months later his best friend for 56 years died from complications of COVID.. He allowed that song to be used for the referendum pushing for indigenous voice in parliament. So they are just a group of close minded people.

No reasonable or sensible people expect him to ever sing again. Let him retire in peace. All careers end.
It is strange that he didn't attend his own interview.
❤
Maybe John could sing a song in the studio first before he goes public
I’m pretty sure the majority of his songs were written by others.
He was a singer performer not a songwriter. I think he only has a few co writer credits. Others wrote the songs.
