Ah, John. How good it is to hear your voice again. It may be a little changed, but it still sounds just like you. No one will ever top John for me. He is the very best, not just in Australia, but in the whole entire world.
John Farnham will always be my favourite singer in the whole world no other artist can ever take that away. His a number 1 top bloke with a heart of gold.
💯% agree. So wonderful now having his hard copy book. Listening to John's voice tell his story here & on Spotify has my heart racing & my eyes misting God I LOVE this man & his family.❤❤❤
@@AussieDebb Oh Debbie - I've just found this..... I was curious about John's childhood and birth family because there didn't seem to be much out there - and here it is. What a joy to be able to listen to him reciting his own experiences. And to find some parallels with my life, and schooldays, in post war London from the age of 2 (1946) onwards. I think perhaps radiotherapy has affected John's voice, altered the quality, but I can hear the cockney element in his speech.. And he is singing. - it could have all been so much worse. We are so lucky to be able to enjoy all the Farnsey YT videos - they'll just live on forever - I've spent nearly 3 hours this morning doing just that, I really need to get my day underway. So happy to hear john talking, got a big smile on my face. You take care. UK. E❤
@@EileenSpeakman Gaynor Wheatley said in an interview that when he first came back in the studio to do the audio, he said he just wanted to sing again. I think he will but there's a bit rehab needed and a bit of practice. He said he can't open his mouth wide enough but he sounded good in that bit of singing. The spirit and the determination is still there. You take care Eileen 💗💗
I meet John just after he married Jill thanks to a a close family friend that owned a Pub in Tasmania and he came there to do a show it was my Birthday and our friend come over to our table after John was done and he said Vicki come with me and he took me out the back and they was John and Julie that was the best Birthday present ever I got to talk to him and he was so lovely I had an album cover that he signed and he asked me want I got for my birthday and I said Your new album and seeing you he gave me a big hug I am now 62 I was a teenager when this happened and I can remember everything about that night like it was yesterday I have all his albums and I lost count how many times I have seen him in concert I got his book and I can’t put it down I knew some of the things from other books I have read but this one is special because it is from John himself in his words We love you John Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was both exhilarating and hilarious. What a story teller. He puts life into words. No wonder he is such a good singer. That ability, along with that amazing voice, is just spectacular.❤❤❤
Well we are so pleased to have you with and you sound and look amazing. I have been a fan since Sadie and never wavered. We love you and you will always be the greatest singer we have ever been blessed with. Love you John xxx
Thank you Google play books for this preview of John Farnham’s book. John is still the Voice we know and love in Australia. Loved hearing his stories and him breaking in to song now and then as he reminisced. And we both attended the same high school but years apart, I remember Johns math teacher too.
You’re a legend John…So flamin good to hear from you again. So can’t wait to listen to this book in full. You should be taking Guy Sebastian’s place on The Voice. The wisdom that you could impart on up and coming artists would be huge. Seriously huge.
Thanks John for doing this, we, your fans needed it. There’s no mistake that’s you, cheeky, not afraid to say bugger it, that familiar triple laugh ( or laf) and of course your humour, something you most certainly obtained from your English roots. I can’t wait to hear the rest, it will be my treat, a bit at a time, daily to fill the boring days one has when 75. You don’t have that problem, but lm not complaining, l have earned my retirement ( no grandies, that my problem) there must be a million people in your life and several more of us out here who have travelled through your career with you. So from one ex pat (1967 SS Australis, Southampton) from your place to mine in Brissy, l send you strength, love and a kiss from an old fan. You’ve had a good life ( yes with hiccups but who doesn’t) l envy you one thing, your long wonderful marriage, there are so few true ones and I’m glad you two found each other. Bless you and all the family, always. ❤️🇦🇺🦮👵🏻🇧🇲🇬🇧❤
Thoroughly enjoyed this. So many things to mention I enjoyed. Loved finding out John’s life, as a young boy he reminded me of my fun loving annoying wonderful older brother lol. I went to see the Beatles in Melbourne when they stayed at Southern Cross hotel. The crowd was terrifying. So many stories John told, reminded me of my own great childhood & my wonderful parents who I never heard argue. Johns a calming, funny, wonderful storyteller of his life. Now I need more. I thought his concerts & music was all I needed. Nup, he’s now a storyteller where you can easily visualise everything he says, so clearly in your mind. It’s like watching a movie in your mind listening to him.
@@bernadettelanders7306 OMG Bern4U - what a wonderful description - I was doing exactly the same - listening with my eyes closed and just picturing that cheeky John as he was describing his childhood. Thank you John for this, for all of it. So much of your early life sounds like mine except the music, I am a painter. Today is my husband’s 77th birthday and he came from England at the same age you did. We married when I was 17 and he was 22 and he would never argue! He was always happy so I know what Jill meant and that made me laugh. My 72nd birthday was two days ago on Halloween so I have been along for your whole career. We came to concerts together in Melbourne to see you. Your family and Glenn’s family became Australia’s family. You taught me that everyone on a stage was important and everyone had a name. You gave us a lifetime of music and I am so grateful. My Husband got your 3 CD Anthology set and your book for his birthday. I will save up and buy this audio book for me. Your voice gives me calm and peace, you let me see what you saw and I am there. I feel Blessed because I just had my nose and part of my face reconstructed from skin cancer and today hearing you has lifted me up. Thank you again John. Enjoy your family and stay well and safe.❤
I was six when Sadie the cleaning lady came out! I was 9 when mum took me to Doncaster shopping centre in Melb to see you perform. I fell in love… I think you were only 21 and making records. I went to England for two years in my mid twenties, and my first flat was in Dagenham! What a wonderful gift of joy you have given us all John. Im so sad to here that you were manipulated by those who only wanted there cut of your fame.😘

I meet John just after he married Jill thanks to a a close family because he knew I was a really big fan because when he would come to our place I was always playing John albums
he told my Dad come for Dinner with the family and let me see what I can do for her for her Birthday
Dad said thanks mate we will pay you and as mate do he said no it’s on us
My Dads friend that owned a Pub in Tasmania and John came there to do a show
My Mum and Dad didn’t tell me where we were going they said just going out for dinner at Peter s place with him and family so I didn’t think much about it because it wasn’t something new the only thing was the night other nights were on the nights when it was quite and mum said take your new John album to show Peter want you got for your Birthday again didn’t realise want was happening because we had gone there before and it was my Birthday so thought we were going to Dads friends place
Then when we pulled into the car park and I saw the posters I was no way and my said yes
our friend come over and gave me a hug and said Happy Birthday I couldn’t believe it our table was up front it was unbelievable we had dinner then John came out and did his show then after the show our friend came over to the table after John was done and he said Vicki come with me and he took me out the back and their was John and Julie that was the best Birthday present ever
I got to talk to him and he was so lovely I had an album cover that he signed that mum said to bring HA!!and he asked me want I got for my birthday and I said Your new album and seeing you he gave me a big hug I am now 62 I was teenager when this happened and I can remember everything about that night like it was yesterday I have all his albums and I lost count how many times I have seen him in concert
