I have the same car only a 351 Cleveland 4 speed. Shaker Louvers spoilers Magnum 500s. 75K miles and still has the original Lime green Pain job. I have owned it since 9/73 I Was 22 years old when I bought it. It runs like a Swiss watch.
@@betsyduane3461 I had a pretty heavy foot but Hwy is correct., City I'm guesstimating. Motor was not stock but close . Had a longer duration cam, 30 thou over bore, changed the stock carb to a Holly dbl pumper, headers but thats it for mods.
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales tbh, i'll be able to resto mod my 62 Nova cheaper. not at all saying it's not worth the money, it's just levels. i'm not on that level.
The 1970 year, was the introduction of pollution control devices on automobiles. Performance and gas mileage plummeted about 30%, and I know, as I owned a 1969 Mustang, that got 25 mpg, developed 295 Hp, and had a 351C V8 engine, and automatic transmission.
This car is no different than the 1969 428 SCJ, exactly the same mechanically. 351C was not available in 1969, only two Windsor 351's were. The catalytic converter became standard equipment on most new vehicles starting in 1975 and was mandatory by 1981.
Actually, I would argue that the 351C was not available in 1969. I have seen 351C engine parts with C9 casting numbers. I saw a 1969 Mustang 40+ years sgo with a Cleveland that the owner stated came with the car. That engine had C9 casting numbers, not D0 casting numbers.
Wonderful!!..... Simply a Beauty 👌👌 Definitely one of the finest you can find. WOW - what a beautiful Mach 1!!!!!! Thanks for showing and Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹1⃣1⃣1⃣1⃣👌👌👍👍👍 Take care.
My first car, purchased in 1973 was a 1970 Mach I in this same exterior color and striping. The original factory paint never had as much gloss as this car. My car had the white comfort weave vs the green in this car.

Sounds beautiful and like a dream! 😍
Much better then today mustang so beautiful .
I had a '69 428 SCJ 'R'Code MACH 1. Jade Green. Rear Diff was 4.30 to 1. Got around 5 MPG City / 8 Hwy.
No way the mileage was that bad, unless you were dragging at every light.

Paint looks like 2 stage with a clear coat which would not be factory correct.
