I have a 1990 735i and I am thinking of just putting new wiring in and upgrading speakers and by passing the old wiring since it has become such a nightmare to trouble shoot
Okay, that’s great to know. I am not having any luck. I paid $80 for a used factory amp and still blowing fuses, next trying a new radio. Pain in the butt.
Hey I have a 1990 735il. I’ve been having the exact same issue ever since I bought the car and it’s so weird. I’ll let you know if I figure anything out lol
I've seen your posts on the forum but couldn't help, what a bizarre issue... I hope you find a fix soon. Was connecting the speaker wires one at a time useful?
Yes. A few of us have the same problem. Still not sure what is wrong. I am trying to find another Original amp to try and trouble shoot. I will keep you guys posted if I can figure this out.
Did you ever find out what was popping the fuse on the amp? I have a 1990 535 doing the same thing. Radio turns on but no sound and the fuse keeps blowing on the amp. Thanks
Hello, no I never figured it out. I wanted to buy a new amp from eBay but, people are asking ridiculous prices for them. I’m still driving around without any music 🤦🏼♂️
WOW we are in the same boat on this one..... I am working on it and am absolutely determined to figure it out. As soon as I do I will notify you as to what the remedy for my system was. Thanks for the reply and Cheers.
@@jonbarker7181 I would appreciate that a lot, thank you. I do know, when I put a higher fuse (not good) the music would play for a second then, pop the higher amp fuse so, that is as far as I got. Thx again Jon

So the amp is the one who brings the sound right
