Went with the quickest and cheapest option, replace the thermostat from rock auto added, a litre or two of coolant 50-50 mix and so far so good. I’m going to take her for a longer drive tomorrow to make sure that everything is OK. 

Noticed out of the blue my coolant Temperature creeped up to the overheat area on the gauge. Fluid will flow out of the cap when loosened, even when the engine is cold. Very odd. Never did this before. I ordered a new Thermostat and coolant temperature sensor. Relatively cheap start to figure this out

Make sure you buy the German dog bones.

Replaced the ground that is located under the vehicle, mid point, from exhaust to frame. Laboured starts seem to be disappearing with each ground replacement.

After switching out the ground cable from the engine block to the frame, limited success. One more ground strap going from the frame to the exhaust I don’t think will help but I will switch that out next week. (This did not fix my problem of the slow start, ends up the Starter was dying a slow death)

Working on the old girl today, change the fuel pressure regulator and some of the vacuum hoses. The hesitation has actually gone away. So I’m not too sure if it was a vacuum leak or the fuel pressure regulator.
