Excellent review- this is what I’d been waiting to see. Hansen and Muta have always been dream figs and we’re halfway there. Fav Hansen memory was seeing him beat Martel for the AWA strap in NJ live as a kid. YOOOOOUUUUUUUTHHHHH!!!!!!
I don’t know if I’m completely sold on the line yet, but I do think Hansen turned out well, and I’m looking forward to having him in hand. The ring gear is from his run in All Japan as a tag team with Ted DiBiase. DiBiase (in matching vest and chaps) was supposed to be in this wave but got bumped for some reason. There are a few prototype pictures/digital renders out there. That’s what really piqued my interest in the line because I was a big fan of DiBiase during his Georgia/Miid-South/St. Louis days.
The hat definitely looks weird up close, but from a far away angle like during the comparisons it looked much better. Face doesn't look like him either but, again, there's still something really nice about these figures. Would love to see them try The Destroyer, Abdullah the Butcher, Giant Baba, and Andre.
I got tired of waiting for A Stan Hansen figure, so I got a Legends Nikolai Volkoff ( the 2pack version with Iron Sheik) put a random black vest , a big black elbow pad, and a black Brock Lesnar Cowboy hat. And I tell you my custom Stan Hansen looks legit. I also want to do a Great Muta. Still got a super nintendo hooked up, just to play the all japan pro wrestling games, All Japan Pro Wrestling 2. Stan Hansen is the man great video. 👍
Still waiting for mine but it looks good. I might not immediately know it's Stan from just the head but when you see the whole thing it's definitely him. He's long overdue for a figure. Maybe the greatest wrestler ever not to have a figure in the US at least? He was a main eventer. I'd say the one thing on these Powertown figures that bothers me is the legs looking a little too skinny on all of them. But not a deal breaker.
Would love for them to do a jobber line. Iron Mike Sharpe, Barry horowitz are the first come to mind and I can't remember if outlaw Ron bass was jobber.
Ron Bass was actually a mid-card to main event performer in the territory days, specially in Florida. I’d love to see a figure of him, though. Horowitz and Sharpe are great choices. Other favorites of mine are Mike Jackson, George South, and the unforgettable Mularkey brothers.
While I’d LOVE an Iron Mike Sharpe fig, I believe getting The Sharpe Brothers first would be more awesome. My dream release for series 2: Sharpe Brothers, Dick the Destroyer Baer, Bockwinkel, Don Leo Jonathon, Buddy Rogers, Bearcat Wright, Dick the Bruiser, and The Crusher

To me (in the early 80s), scaling was way more important than likeness when it came to action figures.
