I picked up a F2 with very similar issues. Flea Market. The collar had come loose and fouled things up. Also found a F with motordrive at the same Flea Market. Both are still working, still taking great photos. I liked them enough to send them out for CLA. Cheers!

Wow, that is really cool. Great find. That is even better than the Nikon S2 that works great that I found at the bottom of a box of junk at a flea market in Maine. For the S2, I had to put out the princely sum of $30. Kenneth, you got me beat!!!!!

Yes, but I never use it. I guess using Sunny 16.

5$ for an F2 with the motor drive? do you know how jealous I am right now? lol...I have 3 F2's, 2 silver and one black. love them all, beautiful solid cameras that like you say, you cant kill, they just keep going..like their predecessors, the Nikon F, (which I have 2 of ) they are one of the most solid, well built camera's ever made.

These deals are out there if you poke around in enough shops to look and ask if they have any. I wouldn't have seen this one where it was. I always ask.

You can buy both, the drive trigger and the rear door key! $5 what a steel and yes you can't kill and F2!!! My F2 is a 1975 vintage and the Photomic A prism is 1979. I also have it on an MD2. Doesn't feel good in your hands? F2 was the best hand assembled mechanical 35mm camera ever made. The purchase you made is even more proof! LOL!!

I kinda want to keep it the $5 Nikon. Spending money on the key or trigger will add $ and it works as is. I like the MD2 as a grip. Feels good. And the money saved goes toward film!

Jeez - I've just paid nearly £600 ($720) plus a pro CLA for an additional £114 ($138) for a Nikon F2AS with a 50mm f1.2 lens here in the UK. !!

i got one of these Nkon F2 cameras BLACK Body and i got the motor drive Parts MD-1 and the MB-1 and i need to get the camera fixed and only paid £10.00 FOR all of them from a cameras shop in London in 2023

I'm using an Olympus OM-10 for $5, a Minolty 5000i for $0 and a Fuji Freedom 160 Tele for $0. Analogs don't break!
