there is just one rule. No sudden movements and if possible drive in 4WD high.

Hello brother, i was wondering if the Tharr could be modified as a diesel 4x4 camper with sleeping area. We are a couple planning to visit india for a long vacation and would like to go across the country all around, what are your suggestions.. Thank you.. A lover of blessed land Bharat.

Sounds great but I think the wheelbase is too short for a proper sleeping area with luggage for two people. You might have to modify it a lot. Try to get a used Pajero or something. That’ll be way more comfortable with lots of space for two people.

My suggestions will be if u hire a self drive Isuzu dmax 4 by 4 with the back closable lid cover , it would be just perfect...... it will solve both the purposes i.e camping related storage and also u can make it into a makeshift sleeping area by the mattress.... and add to that it's a proper 4 seater as well..... so the lugguage can be put ahead in the back seats ...... plus the rigidity and better mileage den the thar is a TOTAL win win situation..... and let me add one more thing u can't modify a self drive car in India.... check out the self drive rates and book in advance for a good deal....

What are precautions or safety measure one should take before planning a snow drive ? just being curious # Fanboy
- if possible take two cars.
- carry snow chains and shovel
- carry enough food.
- no sudden movements.
- learn to correct any slide when it happens
