Great video Colin - so lovely to see all the family again. I absolutely refuse to go on a site where they charge for dogs (we have 3) - I don’t know how it can be justified - some kids cause more chaos etc than dogs! 😖 Branston looks in really good shape ❤️🐾

We only had a van like your size van but a lwb. It is good for some things but static family outings isn't one of them. That is why we bought a 7.5 metre fixed bed 4 berth caravan. We pull it with the pop top van and we now think that this rig combination is the best out there for all circumstances. For family static stays or just the wife and I on a static stay, we find it much more comfortable and enjoyable and the caravan only cost £12k. The best of both worlds now.
We have a similar combo but not a VW (a Citroen 5m high top campervan with all facilities) - I agree, the best of both worlds
I did, already have a bigger tent style awning but just after a simple awning for those local 1 nighters that’s quick and easy. Looks like yours handles the weather as well.

The 4 amigos are back with sound. We did enjoy it on the iPad from our campsite.
We stayed in one of castle Howards cottages for a fortnight last year in coneysthorpe. Did many walks in and around the area. Was super, yeh the cakes etc were a tad expensive but hey they were fabulous. Would suggest the area to anyone. Brilliant.

Lovely video - next time you go - walk into coneysthorpe village to the back of the chapel and keep walking that way - it’s a lovely walk in the country and on a summers day you get a stunning view of castle Howard . You can walk to what’s called the sheep walk in the wood and turn right and you can do a loop back to Mill Hill’s track where you first started your walk 🤓😝
