Pretty much everything I make has to be freezer friendly. Pre-made everything and make homemade 'ready meals'. I LOVE the fact these can be frozen, game changer for me. I wish we could post photos here of the things we make in response to your videos ❤
Hi Chetna! I'm a new subscriber have been watching several of your videos lately, this one a few times! Just wanted to say I am addicted to these chutneys.. and raita too. I've also made your Onion pakoras to go with my chutneys.. heavenly!! thank you for your recipes! Delicious!
Chetna, can I say a big thank you for the written instructions/actions below while you are cooking. My daughter who is hard of hearing in her forties, can follow your recipe while she cooks it. Maria 🇬🇧 Ps. So happy to see you using your hands as well. Do not trust a cook/chef that doesn’t use their original implements we were born with or taste their cooking 😂😂
I'm so happy to see this thicker, lush tamarind chutney! My one complaint with tamarind chutney is it's too runny - but from now on, my homemade version won't be. Thanks!
Those pesky rock hard dates! Thank you Chetna for this recipe video. I think my family just used sugar instead of jaggery, probably out of convenience, but can't wait to try it.
A tip, when pushing anything through a sieve use a ladle, the bowl shape fits the sieve perfectly. And thanks for these recipes, as you say a good chutney makes a meal .
I literally eat the chutneys by themselves the raitas and the try to avoid some things that aren't good for us and yet you can have some of that too but I really like to I can eat with a spoon both of them I mean Ray says chutneys to tamarind Chinese mint Chinese especially love mint chutney and I eat them as much as I can and the raitas I just eat them by themselves I mean you know it's so good you don't even have to need anything with it that's how good it is
Waaaw I have tasted some Tamarind chutneys and didn't like it but this one... I just finished to cook it and it's so delicious. I should have done more 😅. Tomorrow will make the other one for dahi vada.
You might want to try using a food mill or a chinois to press the pulp through on the date and tamarind chutney. That might save you some labor because those tools are specifically for what you are doing there
I love coriander chutney so much, I sometimes eat a spoonful. I love the music in this video, Chetna, so calming.
What? Freeze the coriander chutney? Genius idea, thanks so much for this Chetna.
My 2 favorite chutneys! Fantastic!! I love the contrast when these 2 are served together.
Tamarind has to be my all-time favorite flavor. Thanks for showing step-by-srep how to make that chutney!

I’m hosting an Indian dinner tonight and I’m going to use this recipe!!!
I’ll be making that tarmarind chutney tomorrow x
This recipe couldn't have come at better time. I bought all my ingredients to make the coriander chutney.

Thank you. Both chutneys look awesome.
Can’t you blend the tamarind chutney after removing the seed??
I'm so happy to see this thicker, lush tamarind chutney! My one complaint with tamarind chutney is it's too runny - but from now on, my homemade version won't be. Thanks!
I made the coriander mint chutney today. Delicious with onion pakora, one of your recipes which you shared a couple of months ago!
Ouh, I hv dates ....Wanna try this tamarind and date chutney...tq Chetna. Sharing this chutney recipes....👍👌🤤🇲🇾😍
I absolutely love your peanut coriander chutney and ginger & chili chutney…I’m never without them!❤
Soaking the dates and the tamarind in warm/hot water beforehand can help a great deal.

Good to know! I've never liked tamarind chutneys but this gives me hope haha
@@MattbyNaturedon't forget to tell us after 🙂
6:07 You know it’s good when you react this way 😂👍🏼
Oh yes, right up my alley.
Is there an alternative to jaggery or can we skip the jaggery all together in the tamarind date chutney?
You can use regular sugar. Don't skip the sweetness altogether, though... tamarind is VERY sour
Where is the recipe for the chutney

How can one prevent coriander chutney from being watery.
What’s jaggery
,
it is a block of less processed sugar.
I think I used to have jeans like that in the 80's. They look better on you than they'd look on me though.
Is it okay to leave the sugar part out of the green chutney? I’ve never seen sugar in green chutney before.
Thank you!
Hey! Yes, it can be skipped as it’s optional. Even we never add it.
Sure you can. The sugar doesn't over-sweeten the chutney, it just harmonises and balances the other flavours.
