It's in Early Access but feels more complete than many AAA titles. I highly recommend it if you enjoy zombie games/media and want something more grounded and realistic.

My pleasure :) It's a fantastic game, has native Linux version so runs exceptionally well on Deck as you saw, and controls really well. Text size for inventory which was my biggest concern is rather large and easy to read. Overall, it's a great experience on the handheld.
I couldn't get used to it on a small screen and the controller... I love the game though, but I need a big screen and keyboard
pz is a great game, one of my favorites, and it looks amazing on Steam Deck
It looks way better than I expected on the small screen, it just fits so well with the deck and the UI has been scaled well. Really excellent all around. I'm looking forward to spend more time on the Deck version.
@@UntitledCritic Playing online with friends on the steam deck should be very good too, I hope one day to be able to buy a steamdeck.
I don't have a zoom in nor a zoom out option and I don't have any maps to fix it what do I do?
Try verifying integrity of files if the map is completely missing and can't be accessed from quick action menu. Worst case scenario you'll need to do a fresh install of the game.
can it run mod? i cant sit long at pc, sometimes i want play this while laying on bed
Yes U can! I play it with 20+ Mods and it runs fine 😊

It can really take sometime, I keep confusing interaction buttons when drinking water or searching the cabinets

How does aiming work on steam deck??
You aim with the right stick just like any action game, it's pretty smooth and I had no issue with it but while shooting with a rifle I couldn't get any target to turn green, probably due to my character's panic level and skill. I need to do more testing with more weapons but so far my experience has been very positive on the Deck.
How does this work with installing mods into the game? I understand the Steam deck runs on a linux based OS, so how would you DL the mods?
Honestly, I haven't installed any mods and been only playing vanilla PZ so far. But from talking to folks who play PZ with mods, they said it's super easy on Deck, just get the mods from Steam workshop (Desktop mode), then launch the game. I haven't tried myself thou.

The workshop is integrated into any supported game on Steam OS. When you select the game in Game Mode, go to the Workshop tab under the game's settings and you can download and manage all of your mods super easily.
