If this the case, he was probably killed in the penultimate episode when the Chronicoms laid waste to the Shield bases. Or Nathaniel found out what he did in the other timeline and killed him.
Probably the actor was busy and he would have pulled focus away from Nathaniel. I like to think that the Chronicoms showed Nathaniel his history, who became angered and killed his brother for his future's selfs actions.
