I am new to pickleball , with in the last 4 months. Mostly playing doubles. With that said I can see that practicing with a partner on pacifistic things will make you a better player than just playing Pickleball. Thanks Tyson for what your doing. Rick D. Bronson FL
Such a great video, super useful, clear and duplicatable. I appreciate the transparency and discussion within the points. Well done guys, keep them coming..
Excellent description and depiction. Also in footwork and paddle position to often take the ball early and always far enough in front of body. 2 areas I work on to reduce excess footwork and avoid holding paddle too close to body.
I would like to see a video taken from the side view looking at the net while dinking (like 4:05 into this video). Specifically, I would like to see where the apex or highest point of the ball is. During practice, the instructor sets up markers of where the ball should land on the other side of the court. But, when I play, if I hit a perfect dink according to where it lands, the opponent can simply reach in and put the ball away if the apex is on their side of the court and very high. I would also like to see this on the third shot drop. Could you make a video to show where the apex should be and a drill to practice not only where the dink should land but how to hit the shot so that it lands there from the best angle (angle going from the ball's highest point towards the ground?)
Great reminder to attack the left foot. It’s easy to always cross court dinks. Most of the time i get in trouble with trying to hit a perfect cross court and it opens up the atp.
If you're doing this with a Lefty and a Righty...how would that work? Or can you only do this with a Lefty and a Lefty, Righty and Righty? Thanks for the GREAT video's!!:)
On that inside to inside cross-court dinking to the left foot…Tyson looks way more controlled and stable that KMac. So what’s the big difference? Tyson is planted on his left foot. That supports micro-rotational force across his body. KMac is planted on his right foot. You can see how having to generate even a tiny amount of force from that pivot point makes him uncomfortable. Around the 4min mark. Just an observation.
Yes minimizing premature attacking is part of it, but working the inside foot of your opponent’s is a great way to take your opponent’s out of their rhythm without taking too much risk yourself by varying your own patterns too much.
@@TysonMcGuffinPickleball ya. Mostly I was trying to be cheeky😬. But yes I have started implementing this strategy. I’ve kinda done this instinctually over the years. In fact I have called it ‘feeding the T’. The T being the intersection of the nvz line and the center line. Pushing dinks there essentially hits the inside foot of both opponents and causes the ambiguity of hitting balls to the middle.
Do you think Sam Querrey is paying attention to all of this detail. Or is he thinking , just give me a shot and I will throw major heat right back at you. Go Team Querrey in 2023!!!!!!!

Hope to drive up subscribers and keep the content flowing!
Love the T & K drills and tactics video! Especially with these rainy days garage play!☔️ Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback. Going to be filming new content soon!
Very helpful info. Love your drills, specific and effective 😊
Thanks Melanie

Absolutely right! Remembering to work that left foot once in awhile, is a great way to slightly vary your own pattern and create the pop up.
Thank tou for your lessons , very hood and right to the point
You do have very good aura , where did you come from , i like your accent.

Good job of intellectualizing the dink game. Do you ever consider switching hands? Nice privet court, envious.
What grip(grips) are you using?
Continental
It's very satisfying to win dink rallies. This helps!
Glad to hear 👊
You two have the best instruction on TH-cam IMO. Thank you
Thanks Mike! We want the belt!

Good observation. K-Mac struggles with getting his tip down on the backhand which would simplify things and eliminate some of his extra movement 👍
Suscribe, what does this words means?
Fabio Fognini looks a little different without his usual beard.
😂
So to summarize, you want to minimize premature attackulation? Got it. Thanks.

You’re right. He probably won’t be thinking about this stuff at first. Give him time though and he will be.
I personally don’t like the “double-talk”. I subscribed to this channel for TM, not to hear two-guys chatter.
Thanks for the feedback 👍
So much talking…
