      As much as I love dime and Vinnie I have to disagree.. it was Phil that brought the heavy out in Pantera. Dime was able to match Phil's heaviness and without one or the other the band would have sounded like another run of the mill metal band. PanterA is my favorite band of all the bands Ive ever heard. @FalloutGuitarist 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you're saying that in relation to how active the crowd is, then you're sort of right, but there's also a lot of venues that don't appreciate it and will stop the show until people calm down, then you also have to think there are older people that go to these shows who are in no shape to do it, as well as younger kids to top it off.

    • @rubungadoi
      @rubungadoi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It is definitely pretty sad seeing so many people watching a show through their phone camera. I understand that older fans can't move like they used to, but it sure sucks seeing 3 out of 1,000 people moving around and having fun like the crowd in this. Nowadays the other 997 who aren't jumping are glued in a mindless trance to their phone, no matter what the occasion is.

    • @rubungadoi
      @rubungadoi 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FalloutGuitarist That's pretty sad that places will actually stop people from enjoying themselves, at least if nothing serious is happening that is. In my opinion that's their own negligence by not having the proper security measures for a show. If I ever experience that, I would never give that venue another chance.

      Personally, I thought they only got better over time. I really like each different era of Pantera starting when Phil joined the band. Even their first "Power Metal" album with Phil (the only other place he does the shrieking high pitched vocals aside from CFH) has some pretty cool moments. They were clearly riding the corny "glam metal" trend of the 80's at that point, but they still kicked ass and brought the intensity during the live shows. Cowboys From Hell is definitely where it all came together, but after they found their own unique style, it seemed like they only got heavier and more extreme with each album and I was loving all of it. They seemed unstoppable.

    Holy fuk, my old weapons load crew chief would tell me about seeing Pantera at Joe's Garage. I believed him, but NEVER in my life thought I'd actually see it myself! Thanks so much for this beautiful time capsule! Seeing so many faces of the crew before they appeared in the Pantera home vids 1-3 is amazing too! We all grow & age simply amazing to see them so young here!
