So cool. It is still shocking to me (evntho I drive a electric car) to see how fast those electric motors take off compared to the Diesel Electric locomotives.
these are growing on me ngl, I like the look of them but I wonder if they’re going to sell all the 60 gallery cars and 23 f40’s since im pretty sure 920-922 are probably going to being sold too
@@PeninsulaTrainFan well I saw someone on Twitter reply to one of Caltrains post saying “Will 920-922 be Retired” and Caltrain said “All of the F40’s” so they’re probably retiring as well
900-918 will probably find new homes (hopefully with Metra or in preservation), 919 is basically a write-off destined for the scrapheap, and the rest will be used for trains to Gilroy and eventually Salinas.
@@Trainlover1995I highly doubt Metra would purchase them. The MP36PH's could be transferred to Amtrak California and converted to MP54AC's with different numbers if Caltrain plans to replace those soon, but it's a shame MPI is no longer part of Wabtec's locomotive portfolio.
What are the full fleet number series for these trains. I know the cab units are 300 series that go up to at least 324 based on what i've seen in this video and the passenger cars are numbered in the 3000 and 3100 series.
That acceleration is amazing
Another awesome view of the train pulling into the station
and passing by thanks for your videos.🇺🇲🚄🚄🇺🇲

920-922 are going to be used on the Tamien to Gilroy route

@@Trainlover1995 let’s hope Metra or a Railway Museum adopts a Gallery And F40 set

*Test, test, test... just start running the trains!*
They tested the heck out of these things in Pueblo, CO just 2 years ago...
1000 miles of testing for each unit
They have to be near perfect. They don't want to have too suspend operations just when things get started.
