    She’s an amazing iconic gymnast and it’s unfortunate that she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves. She’s clean on her routines that are packed with difficulty and she lands everything. If she was American she would be talked about better.

    I am a HUGE Simone fan but I LOVED watching Aliya performed EVERYWHERE. She for me is the best Russia has produced for a long time and it will take an even longer time I think for another Russian to capture the LOVE, APPRECIATION and FASCINATION of people from EVERY COUNTRY that has anyone that watches gymnastics as Mustafina did. She is definitely going to be missed on the international scene badly. Good luck in all that you pursue here on in Aliya Mustafina! You were and are a TRUE legend and icon of the sport.

    I can't deal with this :-( she is forever the most iconic! Obviously Simone is better but Aliya and Simone competing at the same events was so amazing - different styles and different talents! We have not seen anyone compare to Aliya's mental toughness, grace and iconicness.

      She doesn't really needs to....she had an amazing career. Back to back Olympic gold and olympic AA medals, plus so many world and european titles....i mean come on she had a very fulfilling career unlike chellsie.

    and guys, alya really retired, the gymnastics LOST her beauty in person, I will miss the beauty of her acrobatics and spins, many gymnasts are trying the mustafina, no more will she do, demonstrating so much beauty, flexibility and comfort, without her American mafia will dominate, we will miss their originality and naturalness so much flying from one bar to the other, it was wonderful and incredibly comforting, to see the new "champions" of sadness to see that the best in the world prefer to make difficult moves than perfect the execution, having less than 400 tenths of deduction with a difficulty greater than 6.0 only alya can, we hope you enjoy your retirement!

    • @bagelized
      @bagelized 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ok lmfao. First if all what is the American mafia 😂 most of them are just hardworking kids, calm down. Second, Aliya’s execution was not always the best... it’s funny how you say the current champions don’t care about form when Simone’s execution, form and height is what made her to the top. You don’t have to celebrate Aliya by putting down other gymnasts lol. And if you’re going to do it get your facts straight.

    • @jw6105
      @jw6105 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@bagelized man, alya is so clean she got 16,133, the highest score in the history of the olympics, and even after 4 years she won again with an amazing score, man, i didn't put any gymnasts to increase alya, she's just the best.
      since you don't agree with what I said about gymnasts concentrating on difficulty and desperately losing pace and running and just going to videos of the current world champions, if you don't agree with that anyway, that's fine and a personal opinion , and if I stop liking your own COMMENT it is very strange and demonstrates
      a certain fragility and loneliness...

    • @bry3720
      @bry3720 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jw6105 Seriously? 16,133 is not THE HIGHEST, 16,900 was by Nasta Liukin in 2008. Aliya, although being an amazing gymnast, remember her form on triple fulls? Not really the best.
