Bruh, mnet did them dirty. You can’t see the dance break clearly from that far back. No wonder the boys chose their dance practice to this to be released during Festa, because it needs to be appreciated! The only good thing from this broadcast was that you could clearly hear them breathing, so noone could say that they lipsynced.

They did already performed at AMA’s though . Although... the camera man or whoever was in charge of the camera crews there failed though. He didn’t focused much on BTS’s performance and kept capturing the crowd instead. Missing a lot of good parts on the performance, itself
The control room actually succeeded in doing what is a very American thing, excessive crowd shots. Obviously having a crowd screaming enthusiastically "Fake Love" had the effect of distracting the feed selection even more so than normal which was sad given that BTS was putting on a premiere performance. However, as all ARMY know, BTS crowds are a phenomenon unto themselves so when a bunch of celebrities from the music world are experiencing BTS for the first time their reactions do have a bit of newsworthiness. It is a tough balance and inevitably it cannot be done right live. Your point is well taken but I think they were in a damned if they do, damned if they don't position so perhaps it could have been tweaked better but they never would have escaped criticism.
@@ericweinman9447 Yeah, there's a difference in how the cameramen work a performance. BTS on tour has a cameraman for each of the guys so they can show the best of all the shots and coverage. There's a camerman on TH-cam that was hired who's only job was to stay on J Hope, I believe. While he couldn't film a lot of what went down, he did take us through quite a bit of his experience and the other camera crew. It was really interesting.

the did bts dirty with the camera work bc they literally zoom out when they were dancing, and the lighting is so poor :( if you want to see them rehearse the moves i recommend watching the dance practice for this :)))

I came specifically to see if anyone had mentioned the dance practice video. Lighting was so poor and they did way too many pan outs to the audience that so many cool details are missed!

For this performance, BTS performed great as usual, but the MAMAs needed to fire the production managers for the crappy lighting. We finally were able to see what they were doing when they dropped the choreography video for FESTA this year. 🤣 Like you, I'm a big fan of their MMA performances!
I think their MAMA performances are more fire. Dionysus performance in MAMA hit harder. But it's the production in MMA that's massive.

Awww I wish you would have watched the next performance from that show. They do Anpanman and the performance shows their humor and charisma and synergy. It’s not as formal so you can really see their personalities and get s feel for how they are in concert

Ah yes, the infamous performance where MAMA messed up the lighting so much that BTS recently posted the practice for this (from 2018) and their choreographer shaded the show by quoting the video with a "lights" emoji on twitter. Still a mindblowing performance, but you realize it's even better with the intro that we could barely really see (and wasn't included on this)
There's a reason why they always put BTS performance the last at an award show, because they will outshine everyone perform after them.. 😊 They're real performers.. Last year, Shawn Stockman from BoyzIIMen went to Rose Bowl concert with his son. He was amazed by their concert performance & production, even did a cover of Jimin's Serendipity & talk about the concert in an IG live a few days later. Too bad this year's concert postponed, they already hired the stage producer of Beyoncé's concert stage. Imagine how big is that.

This is why BTS is part of the top performer WW side to Beyoncé, P!nk, Eminem, MJ, Gaga. A few restrictive acts from a tiny list. Not sorry to say kpop industry can't relate. Their artist have maybe technical skills but no charisma nor emotion on stage (+ kpop LYRICS are catchy but poor let's be honest)

You disregarding other artists (especially the entire industry) is just straight rude. (i can't say "disrespectful" cause namjoon said respect is obviously superior than love. at this point, if you are saying things like this, its more disrespectful if i say that you're disrespectful cause it doesn't suit you.)
just pls, bts is not the only one who can do perform like this in the kpop industry. Yeah some have poor lyrics but lyrics are lyrics. Those "lyrics" are included in the song because they are "essential lyrics". (include the fact that some kpop idols are not given chance by their agency to release their own work. They let their inhouse producers do the job).

It's full of girls group that do cute aegyo and pause as model instead of singing/dancing for real. They're not at Beyoncé, Shakira nor Tina Turner Level. As for BG, they perform into a mechanic way as gogo dancer for some of them and are far away from Bowie, Prince, MJ & BTS. Like we say in my home; we don't confuse towel & cloth. I won't put in the same level con artists who PRETEND with BTS who are true musicians. Kpop is just a mediocre industry. Kpop artists have chose their path. If they want to be puppets that is their problem. Not mine. I stan artists who have freedom to express themselves.

MAMA is like the biggest stage on korea. BUT since 2018 BTS has been saving their best stages and performances to MMA! so i highly recommend you to watch those, specially "idol mma 2018" and the whole "bts mma 2019", the second one is one their channel bangtantv
Fun fact: Did you know JK's mic wasn't working properly in this song, so he was working on trying to fix it throughout the performance. Despite that he never missed a beat. Gotta have mad respect for him.
