Once you can tell apart the members you will start to see the pairings moments more easily and they will be more in your face lol. Allen made a good connection with Namjoon's character having the lollipop at the gas station in both I need u and Prologue. Just one thing to point out, those are two different scenes. In 'I need u' he's working at the gas station'. In Prologue, he's on a road trip with his friends. As many pointed out, it was Tae's character who k*lled his father, not Jungkook. Note that the first scene with the boys at the empty and abandoned swimming pool area where Taehyung (V) is on the roof. This is foreshadowing him jumping off the platform into the ocean at the end scene. Oh since I mentioned Hoseok suffering from a condition in I need u, notice how he was sleeping in one of the scenes. Which it may look like he's having a nap, it also points out to the condition his character has called narcolepsy. This is when you can't control when or where you fall asleep. The same thing happened at the bridge. And there's a reason for this. The scenes in the storyline (since we're focusing on HYYH now), don't necessarily occur in chronological order and since Prologue indicates something that happens at the beginning or previous to the main story, we could theorize that the scene after Taehyung calls one of the members (and we know who, we just can't reveal it yet), was actually a flashback. If I'm looking at the scenes from the POV of a flashback then I would consider the last scene to be more of a present day scene. They visited the beach in the past and then in the present day, they went back again because of memories. Maybe Taehyung didn't tell them what had happened at home and then climbed up to the platform. If he jumped before he k*lled his father then that could mean one thing as opposed to if he jumped after that incident. And even here we don't see the outcome of that.
If I remember correctly I think v said in the beginning “Hyung, I miss my friends/ I want to see my friends) .. and what rm wrote on the mirror is “we have to survive” ... and what Jin said when holding that photo was “shall we go here” ... the song playing in the background is butterfly 🦋

I imagine it was hard to get the story due to not being able to understand what is being said. I know when it first came out I was lost, then I found a version with subtitles after doing a search for one. Being confused is a constant state when you first start the storyline. Unfortunately if your not familiar with the faces of the boys, it will be hard to follow what is happening to who. Like Alex always calling V Jungkook. I saw that someone told you to react to some compilation videos or even interview videos of them to familiarize yourself with them and I think that is a smart idea. Prologue actually is quite deep and contains many clues to the storyline. I recommend actually reacting to the song "Butterfly" next which is the song you heard playing at choice times throughout "Prologue". The lyrics are quite explanatory if you think of them being the protagonist of the story expressing his yearnings out loud. As you had no captions for "Prologue", I recommend you find a version of "Butterfly" with English subtitles and while looking at the words, you try to think about their meaning in terms of what you just saw. good luck on your journey.
fkkkk this video!!! this were so many freaking easter eggs in this istg im still ocnnecting the dots after all these years! The music that plays in the background has sooo much meaning... when they were lying down on the couch in front the fire and Butterfly started playing while the projector shows their happy days in the background.. but the lyrics being sung is the part with the rewound/backwards lyrics (part of butterfly's lyrics had a weird mishmash sounding words towards the ned so the fans got curious as to how they made it and one genius army decided to rewind the song and these were actual words ... and then they decide to go the beach again... my heart.....

There are defintely english versions of all the BU videos albeit they're not from Bighit (Bighit didn't put eng subs in early BTS videos) so I recommend searching for the video title and adding 'eng sub' next time you want to react to more BU videos. Also, I've seen other reactors do this and thought it was a good idea but they watch the lyric video of the song connected to the BU story first and then react to the story video in the same reaction. This seemed to help them understand the meaning of the story and connect the dots a bit more. I.e the song connected to Prologue was "Butterfly" so I would have recommended checking out the lyric video for this before watching the story video.

I also tend to advocate for "House of Cards" played in the credits of Prologue as storyline, and indeed "Run" has images presaged in the "House of Card" lyrics, again when they are treated as the words of the storyline protagonist.
The little things each pairing does in this video such as SUGA & JUNGKOOK sitting shoulder to shoulder on the pier together, JHOPE wrapping JIMIN with the blanket while stopping at the gas station, RM & V spray painting together, and JIN always being alone filming or photographing the boys are little indications that the fact those members are tied together is important. Once you can tell apart the members you will start to see the pairings moments more easily and they will be more in your face lol. They become more evident in the Run MV, Wings Short Films, Highlight Reels and so on. I hope you enjoy going through the storyline because its practically one big beautiful movie. :)

Allen made a good connection with Namjoon's character having the lollipop at the gas station in both I need u and Prologue. Just one thing to point out, those are two different scenes. In 'I need u' he's working at the gas station'. In Prologue, he's on a road trip with his friends.
As many pointed out, it was Tae's character who k*lled his father, not Jungkook.
Note that the first scene with the boys at the empty and abandoned swimming pool area where Taehyung (V) is on the roof. This is foreshadowing him jumping off the platform into the ocean at the end scene.
Oh since I mentioned Hoseok suffering from a condition in I need u, notice how he was sleeping in one of the scenes. Which it may look like he's having a nap, it also points out to the condition his character has called narcolepsy. This is when you can't control when or where you fall asleep. The same thing happened at the bridge. And there's a reason for this.
The scenes in the storyline (since we're focusing on HYYH now), don't necessarily occur in chronological order and since Prologue indicates something that happens at the beginning or previous to the main story, we could theorize that the scene after Taehyung calls one of the members (and we know who, we just can't reveal it yet), was actually a flashback. If I'm looking at the scenes from the POV of a flashback then I would consider the last scene to be more of a present day scene. They visited the beach in the past and then in the present day, they went back again because of memories. Maybe Taehyung didn't tell them what had happened at home and then climbed up to the platform. If he jumped before he k*lled his father then that could mean one thing as opposed to if he jumped after that incident. And even here we don't see the outcome of that.
If I remember correctly I think v said in the beginning “Hyung, I miss my friends/ I want to see my friends) .. and what rm wrote on the mirror is “we have to survive” ... and what Jin said when holding that photo was “shall we go here” ... the song playing in the background is butterfly 🦋

I imagine it was hard to get the story due to not being able to understand what is being said. I know when it first came out I was lost, then I found a version with subtitles after doing a search for one. Being confused is a constant state when you first start the storyline. Unfortunately if your not familiar with the faces of the boys, it will be hard to follow what is happening to who. Like Alex always calling V Jungkook. I saw that someone told you to react to some compilation videos or even interview videos of them to familiarize yourself with them and I think that is a smart idea. Might be complicated but ARMY will help you along the way. Not too much spoilers though, i hope. Just pay attention to every little detail and the pairings.
Prologue actually is quite deep and contains many clues to the storyline. I recommend actually reacting to the song "Butterfly" next which is the song you heard playing at choice times throughout "Prologue". The lyrics are quite explanatory if you think of them being the protagonist of the story expressing his yearnings out loud. As you had no captions for "Prologue", I recommend you find a version of "Butterfly" with English subtitles and while looking at the words, you try to think about their meaning in terms of what you just saw. good luck on your journey.

fkkkk this video!!! this were so many freaking easter eggs in this istg im still ocnnecting the dots after all these years! The music that plays in the background has sooo much meaning... when they were lying down on the couch in front the fire and Butterfly started playing while the projector shows their happy days in the background.. but the lyrics being sung is the part with the rewound/backwards lyrics (part of butterfly's lyrics had a weird mishmash sounding words towards the ned so the fans got curious as to how they made it and one genius army decided to rewind the song and these were actual words ... and then they decide to go the beach again... my heart.....
it's totally fine if you don't understand most of the stuff!!! (i didn't either until i read theories) but when you're done please watch the Explanation video on youtube and you'll see all the pieces coming together.

There are defintely english versions of all the BU videos albeit they're not from Bighit (Bighit didn't put eng subs in early BTS videos) so I recommend searching for the video title and adding 'eng sub' next time you want to react to more BU videos.
Also, I've seen other reactors do this and thought it was a good idea but they watch the lyric video of the song connected to the BU story first and then react to the story video in the same reaction. This seemed to help them understand the meaning of the story and connect the dots a bit more. I.e the song connected to Prologue was "Butterfly" so I would have recommended checking out the lyric video for this before watching the story video.
A lot of armys have helped you out in the comments regarding storyline , so I’m not going to say about that . The songs you heard in the video were butterfly and Ma city . Both of them are amazing songs ! The lyrics of the ‘butterfly’ is very deep and makes me cry every single time . When you guys have time I hope you can listen to it separately with lyrics ! i am happy you guys are excited to see storyline music videos but please i would recommend to first recognize each member nicely then jump to story line. in story line if you get confused with members you will not be able to understand the concept and in music video its very complicated to understand story. tht is why i recommended you guys to firstly watch few of their english interviews to understand each member,then only you will be confident about watching music video. trust me guys it will be more fun and exictment to watch storyline and make theories when you recognize the nicely.
